IPhone :: Remove Photo Albums From It That Appear When Syncing Which I Cannot Prevent?
Jun 14, 2012
just synced with laptop and to my horror now have every photo from laptop in albums on my phone which i cannot remove. Have gone back into sync mode and it wont let me access the albums on phone to delete. Such ridiculous situation not to be able to delete by choice on phone. Sync only repeats the process. Not a happy iphone user. remove the albums. Also what to do when syncing to avoid happening again. When syncing, I dont seem to be able to access my iphone or chose what sync processes i want as the sync only happens as one process including the photos. Is this a fault?
I have two photo albums that will not go away. I made sure that on iTunes it does not sync my photos and they don't but they still want leave.
they are taking up the space on my phone. both albums as the same 80 photos. there has got to be a way to remove them. if not that was very stupid on apples part. unless it is a move to make you get a bigger phone.
If I create a photo album on my iphone 4S I cannot get it to sync with my albums on iPhoto. I have tried deleting the ipod cache and other 'fixes' I have found via web searches but still cannot get it to sync. Does anyone have a solution. In terms of software both my phone and Mac have the latest ios versions and iPhoto has been updated to 9.2.3
How can I remove or delete folders within the picture folder? somehow Ive managed to bring in 5-6 extra folders beside "camera roll" and "picture stream" and I can´t get rid of them.
I have 10 albums that I sync to my iPhone. I have a specific photo that I have saved as "0" so that it's first when I sync, creating a cool album cover. However, since the recent iTunes update, when I sync photos to my iPhone, it sync them out of order and sometimes creates duplicates. Occasionally, some photos are in the wrong albums.
I unchecked all albums, synced, then resynced with the albums checked, hoping that putting them back on fresh would help, but it doesn't. Incidentally, if I sync 1 album only, they sync in the correct order with no duplicates.
Just "upgraded" my Palm Pre for a iPhone 4 and going crazy trying figure out how to move my pictures out of the photo roll and into different albums. From what I have tried it seems making different albums only tags the photo but doesn't actually move it. Any suggestions as to how I can have pictures in different albums without them staying in the photo roll also? Do I need to use an app to be able to do this?
How can I block email from accessing my i-phone? How can I prevent Outlook from syncing with my i-phone? THis was not a problem before updating to the new 5.1 version.
So for the past month or so, whenever i tried to sync my iPhone 5 to my iMac, my music would end up out of alphabetical order on my iPhone.
The majority of music would end up under '#' on my iPhone even though its perfectly organized on my Mac and i would have to resync my phone multiple times to get at least some of the music up the list alphabetically.
Although it did have some affect, the problem still persists with a '#' ending up under every couple letters.
Is there a way to resolve this or should i restore my iPhone?
I have a first generation iphone where I had uploaded photo albums from my macbook, later my macbook crashed, and I lost all of the photos. The only copy I have of these photos is on my old iphone. I was able to import the camera roll, but the albums I put on the phone aren't available for import to iphoto or image capture. I tried downloading iExplorer but it could not view them either.
Info: iphone - the original, iOS 1.x, 1st generation iphone
Under Photos on my iPhone I see Album named Photo Library and Album named iPhone, which are duplicates. I'm only synching the iPhone Album from iTunes. What am I missing?
I have now synced all my photos inadvertantly to my Iphone 2x's and now am trying to delete all of them to free up space. When I go to albums - I hit edit and it does not allow me to delete the photos- any advise on this I am open....
where my shared albums are when i post them from my iphone? i see these in Photos App > Shared iCloud Photo Sharing but i am NOT seeing these albums in my iCloud account (i don't even see an icon for them) and i am NOT able to access this album even when i send myself an invite email which asks me if i want to join the album. finally, can only mac users access these?? iPhone 6, iOS 8
like on accident i put all my albums from my computer and now there on my phone and it wont let me delete the albums off my phone i have the i phone 4 how do i delete the photo albums from my i phone
I love to organize my photos as albums on my iOS devices, but I keep them organized by folders on the Mac, so that other users with Windows PCs can view these shared folders too at my house.
I would love to export the photos from my iPhone/iPad to my Mac, with the albums created on the iOS to specific folders on my Mac.
Syncd several photo albums from iPhoto into new iPhone 3G. Now, if I try to delete from phone there is no way. In Photo folder (on phone) it shows a folder for camera roll as well as the three folders from iPhoto. I know that I can delete items in camera roll, but my albums are outside the camera roll. If I have the phone connected to my Mac, iPhoto shows the phone; it shows what is in the camera roll but it doesn't show the other albums. So I have no way of deleting them from phone. I've also connected to a PC with the same results -- "no photos."
On my Iphone I have multiple albums for my photos. For the life of me I can't find out how to transfer the photos from them!! Of course it's easy to transfer any photos that are in the CAMERA ROLL album, but it's impossible to grab photos from any other folder! Other than individually emailing each photo to get it off I can't figure out how to do it.
I Have several photo albums on my iPhone and iPad that I want to delete, but when viewing photo albums and click on "edit", there's no option to remove anything. I've logged into my cloud account to remove them, but there's nothing referring to photos.
I've been getting problems with my photo shared invitations. They just simply won't be sent to the people I choose from my iPhone 4s.
Also when someone send me an invitation, the notification appears on the activity tab from the shared photos, but then when I press "accept" a popup message appears saying "This photo album is not longer shared" and it doesn't sync the photos. I know for sure the photo album still shared as I had tried to invite me from my dad's iPhone 5s.Â
I've already tried turning on and off the photo sharing and photo stream options from the iCloud tab in the settings of my device, and I've even tried relaunching the photo sharing from the iCloud settings from my mac. I also turned off the iCloud service and then turned it on again, but it just doesn't work.
I've change my password as well, updating it on my devices and the problem persists. Â
