I have an Iphone 3gs. I desperately need to recover deleted text messages from it. I have never synched my phone to itunes, "automatically synch to itunes" has always been unchecked. I had never made a back up until a few days ago, but i need to recover the messages deleted prior to creating the backup. and once the phone is synched, are your deleted messages lost forever

I don't back up my phone often so my last backup was about 3 weeks ago so does that mean if I restore to that back up, I can only get msgs that was in that backup? If so, does that mean if I restore to that backup, all those msgs will be blended with the ones in my phone currently?

I deleted the backup file while trying to update to 5.1.1. My phone wouldn't update and I read that I needed to delete the previous backup (bad idea). I accidentally deleted an entire correspondence (conversation) by accidentally hitting the "clear all" button. <Side note: Apple really needs an undo option here or a password confirmation before it just deletes it! I have done some searching through the web and discovered that even "deleted texts" are still embedded deep within the phone.
I need the steps to recovery the messages. Unfortunately, I thought that my phone was syncing daily with my laptop, but it looks as if it was not automatically set up. iTunes would open up and want to sync apps, but apparently not the messages. I don't know enough about iCloud to know if it would be possible to pull the old texts from there, but I'm pretty desperate.
I've downloaded Decipher Textmessage recovery and Wondershare, but as they both initially couldn't pull anything from iTunes, I did not push it further as I thought best to stay in holding mode. I know there is the iPhone Recovery Stick from ProofPronto but it's uber expensive and so if there is another way, I would rather go that route.
