IPhone :: IOS4 On 3gs Multitasking Is Not Fully Working
I know that people are having problems but i just downloaded the iOS4 on my 3GS, and it was working fantastic but i noticed that multitasking isn't fully working and GameCenter isn't there at all. I tried using multitasking with Pandora, and when I hit the home button, the music just stopped. Like previously. Other than that, multitasking works great between several different apps like it should. Just wondering what was going on..

I had multitasking before IOS4, I used backgrounder.When IOS4 came out i unjailbroke because steve told us all how much more efficient his multitasking was. My main problem is that now when i close an app, it doesn't actually close. Yes i know this is so i can multitask, but why do i want to multitask every single app I open! I end up with loads of apps "open" and my phone runs slow, every few days i notice the slow, either when an app tells me i am running out of memory, or when i unlock my phone it takes a bit longer to load the unlock screen.I then have to close all my apps which usually freezes for a few seconds while closing them all.Now i can just about manage this, but my mum and dad (both owners of iPhones) and happy with apples usual simple approach find it a little complicated when and how to close the apps that they have opened (i just tell them when it gets slow, restart it). Solution?: Backgrounder i have to say, worked better.When i clicked home, my app closed (gone! no memory), and lets say i was in Trails and wanted to switch to my music, I just held the home button and that's it, backgrounding was activated, and only Trails was taking up my memory, not some game from 2 days ago, or youtube, or the odd utility app, etc. Anyone else either have this problem, or think that apple should update their multitasking feature.

IPhone :: Jailbreak Multitasking IOS4 - Drawer Appears Empty
When I doublepress the home button and the multitasking drawer opens up, it appears to be empty. I can tell this is a problem because when i use SBSettings and check the running processes, I see many apps are still running. At the very least i should see iPod controls in the drawer.This wasnt always the case, I know that right when i finished jailbreaking (before i synced all my apps over iTunes) i did see iPod controls and SMS in the drawer (those were the only 2 apps i tried before doing that initial sync). I then synced over any apps i had but failed to install anything that was from Installous (depending on AppSync). That was expected. I Think (not sure really) that when the official apps loaded i was still able to have apps appear in the multitasking drawer. I think installed AptBackup from Cydia and tried to restore all. I manually chose Installous and AppSync 4.0 from Cydia because I noticed that they didnt install after the restore all. I then synced again with iTunes. Now I got all my Installous apps back on the phone. This is when i checked the multitasking drawer again and i didnt have any icons! So I am going to assume its one of the Cydia packages thats giving me this issue. I was hoping someone here might have a clue as to which package might cause this. after upgrading to ios4 on my iphone then JB & unlock...my multitasking stopped working. Everything was working great. I was able to listen to music and use safari or send sms at the same time. But now when i listen to music and try something else it quits the music before opening something else. iphone 3G ios 4 5.12.01

IPhone :: IOS 4.0 Multitasking Bar - Even Non Multitasking Apps?
Why do non-multi-tasking enabled apps still get put into the multi-tasking menu accessed by pressing the home button twice? Surely if the app has not been coded to do any sort of fast task switching and all it can do is restart it should not be left in the list as its just filling it up with nothing to gain. As many of the current apps are not multitasking aware it does not take long to get lots of non-multitasking apps getting in the way. Am I missing something? Information: Windows 7

IPhone :: Mail Not Properly Working On IOS4
Since the upgrade of my perfectly working 3GS to iOS4, I need to switch off (and back on again) my mail accounts several times a day, or accept the fact that mail snippets are not loading anymore, mail is not retrieved (only headers), and that mailboxes are not synced with the server. Are more people experiencing this bug? I am using MobileMe, but also see it with other IMAP accounts. I have given apple feedback about it, but I was wondering whether I am the only one who has this problem. Information: MacBook / iPhone 3GS / MobileMe(ss) / Mac OS X (10.6.3)

I have AT&T and my data has not been working since I upgraded to iOS 4 yesterday. MMS, Internet, etc doesn't work. I have called AT&T and they don't know why and can't offer any solution. Anyone else having this problem? I have tried restoring my phone, resetting the network settings, and AT&T tried unregistering and re-registering my phone but still no data.

IPhone :: Internet Not Working - Upgraded To IOS4
I also had this problem since I upgraded my 3GS on Thursday. I did a full restore from a backup, and my internet still wasn't working. Like others, my WiFi was working though. From information I gleaned, it's either corrupt APN settings, or I think in my case (I checked and my APN settings were blank), that updating it just deleted them altogether. On your phone tap Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network. If it's all blank like mine, you need to find out your carriers APN settings and input them. Restart the phone, and it should work.

ive just jailbroke my iphone 3gs on ios4 using the snowbreeze 1.6 all is good only my push notifications have stopped working on whatsapp and ping2 ive done the push fix through cydia which fixed my you tube not working and ive followed other guides to try and fix but no joy as of yet anyone else have a fix or idea how to fix.

After receiving my new iPhone4, the caller ID has not worked via blue-tooth in my car. The readout just shows "incoming call". Sometimes there is just a huge alphanumeric number where the caller name should be. I have seen a few people mention it on some car forums but was wondering how wide spread it is. I have a Dodge truck with Uconnect and I have seen people with BMW's and Mercedes complaining too.

I am using lots of apps with Push Notifications such as facebook, meebo, Original Gangstaz, Words with Friends, and Chess with Friends. When I bought my 3GS with the OS3 installed, at the first 2 days, push notifications of these apps worked fine but after that it never worked again ever. I tried rebooting the phone but it is still not working. All push settings are turned on ever since. Then came 3.1.3 update and still no change at all. Then iOS4 update came and I was excited about it. After iOS4 was installed, all pushes were working again and I was so happy. But now on the 3rd day, push notifications stopped working again!!! I am often connected via Wifi at home all the time. I noticed notifications happen when I go outside and when I just get connected to free wifi hotspots. I have the iPhone 3Gs and it is updated with the iOS 4.0.1. The problem I'm having is that, not all of the bluetooth functions are working properly as it used to before, and I wanted to know if there was away of letting Apple know about it so that it could be fixed. I believe it's just a software issue, where there is a delay in conncetivity from phone to headset, but I'm not sure. I own the new, "Jawbone Icon" and it used to work fine before I've updated to the new iOS 4.0. I've tried doing a total rest with both iphone and bluetooth and both methods were unsuccessful. I've actually tested my bluetooth headset with another iPhone, that still had the previous iOS 3.1.3 software, and it worked exactly how it should compared to my updated iOS 4.0.1 iPhone. The main problem I have is that for one, I no longer hear my phone's message tone in my headset when I recieve a text message, push notification, or even email to my iPhone. Before, with the iOS 3.1.3 software, I would alway here my message tone when I recieve any of those notifications. Which was convinient when I had my phone in my pocket and was in an area where I couldn't hear my phone when I recieved a message. The other problem I have is that, while my phone is ringing, I would hear my ringtone through my bluetooth while the caller id function was being read to me. This was a little distracting at first, but not too much of a problem. The problem is, when my phone rings and my "Jawbone" reads back to me the caller's number - when I pressed the sleep/wake button to slients my phone, it would also cancel the caller id function that my bluetooth offers. This was a little inconvinient, especially while I was driving. In the state the I live in, while driving, the driver is not allowed to talk on their phone unless it is connected to a bluetooth device. Which is the reason why it would be the reason why i enjoy the caller id function provided by "Jawbone". If there is anyone that could help me with this problem, or possible help me find a way to send this to Apple, I would greatly appreciate it. If anything, I believe that the new iPhone iOS 4.01 software has a slight delay on their bluetooth connectivity from phone to headset. But, nevertheless, any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Information: PC iOS 4

Was just wondering what the best way to upgrade from the iOS4 GM to the official iOS4 release. Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. Or is the iOS4 GM identical to the official iOS 4 release?
