I have activated Personal Hotspot with my carrier AT&T. I cannot find Personal Hotspot listed under General>Network setting. I have tried to Reset Network settings but it is still not appearing. I am running an iPhone 4 with the latest iOS 5.1.

My iPhone5 (Jan 2013) will not find any wifi networks. It's running ios 7.1.1Â
I have reset everything, turned it off and on a zillion times turned the router off and onÂ
None of the other apple products in the house are having problems with the networks.Â
So I'm thinking its a hardware problem-But here's the odd thing: every time I turn it off and on, the call forwarding icon (phone+arrow) appears.When I go into settings/phone/call forwarding it immediately goes away.Â
4G is working fine, although the last couple of days my phone has been randomly forwarding some calls to my voicemail w/o ringing; but not always.
I swapped IPhones with my mum and want to reset all the settings but i dont want everything erased off the IPhone.

Even though I've confirmed with Verizon that it is turned on for the right hand set on the account, when I tried to turned it on on my iPhone it just prompts me to contact my carrier either via phone or website. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 and I've tried the following:
1. resetting the network setting.
2. changing the phone's name to a single word without spaces nor special characters.
3. reset the whole phone.
4. combinations of the above several times.
These are supposed to be workable solutions based on what I've read online, but they didn't work for me. My online search kept leading me to an imaginary solution that states:Another way is to retype the access point name in. Go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data, scorell down and fill in an access point name under "Internet Tethering" for APN. I call it imaginary because I do not see this on my phone anywhere. Under network there's only the option to turn cellular data on or off, and under statistics there's a cellular data usage. I don't see "APN" or "Internet Tethering" anywhere.

I have a Pearl 3G running the OS 6 pre release copy 6.00424.My device always switches to 3G when I use the browser, which costs me money! Before with OS 6.00344 I was able to use only WiFi with the internet browser, and when I was out of WiFi range, the device would say "Browsing over the cellular network is not part of your service plan ..." After upgrading to 424 I have been charged about 5 dollars in data use for using the internet function. I have unltd BBM etc but not data for internet. How can I reset this function to use the HotSpot browser, like before, to prevent getting charges?I already tried to go into the 'Options' from the browser menu, and there is no option to change to Hot Spot browser. I know on BB OS 5 there was an option to switch them from WAP, BIS, etc and WiFi.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT).
