IPhone :: Has Been Detected And Could Not Be Identified Properly

Got new iphone 3gs about a month ago, absolutely in love with it (first apple product) constantly downloading music, apps, ect as u do when u get a new iphone LOL

Last Saturday as i was synching stuff, i get an itunes message for auto update, updated everything to newest version of itunes. Ever since that update, itunes wouldnt recognize my iphone.
Kept getting a message saying 'An iphone has been detected, but could not be identified properly, disconnect and reconnect the iphone and try again'.

Tried doing my own research on how to fix the problem, yet nothing worked. Called up apple support, went thru all the troubleshooting steps yet nothing seemed to work.

An agent told me last option is to restore my iphone, he gave me the page with instructions from this website on how to do so. I followed everything down to a T, iphone restored but, when it came to the reactivation of it. it never came about. My iphone is still showing the screen of connect to itunes with the usb picture and itunes cd picture, it only gives me the option for slide for emergency.
i left my computer running with my iphone attatched maybe thinking it will take sometime for the reactivation to occur.

its saturday. im going out tonight. im left with no ******* phone that i want to smash against a brick wall atm.

Sony Ericsson :: W760a - Memory Stick (M2) Not Detected Properly
I bought my w760a two days ago from At&t. Then I bought a Sony M2 memory stick this afternoon. When I placed the memory stick in, it couldn't detect it properly. My phone kept on freezing everytime i place it in. Sometimes it would detect it once it recovered from the freeze but then at times it won't detect it when i check the file manager. So I formatted it in my pc. I placed mp3 songs in it then inserted it back in my phone but it said it had no files. I erased the files (through the pc), tried to bluetooth the files to my phone memory first then transfer it to the memory stick (using my phone) but it said there was a memory card error. So I reformatted it again in my pc. Still, the phone can't detect it properly.

Then I tried turning the phone off and on with the memory stick (MS) in there. It prompted that it was not in the correct format and it asked if I wanted to reformat it. So I did. Then the phone was able to detect the MS properly. But it still wouldn't let me transfer files from phone memory saying that the MS is full. I placed it back in my pc checking the properties, then it says there that theres 0 used space and 0 free space. (how weird!) now I tried to reformat it again in my pc and IT WON'T LET ME. Saying that it was unable to complete the format. Both my devices can neither detect nor access this MS and whenever I place it in my pc it would first have the Sony MS icon then when I try to reformat it, it would turn into a hard drive icon.

IPhone :: Can It Still Be Identified After Remote Wipe
Got my iPhone stolen. The person turned it off right away. So far it has been offline. I have been sending messages and locking commends through iCloud.com, but have not chosen the remote wipe option yet.

Is it possible for a stolen iPhone be identified after restore? An iPhone has a series number, I assume iTunes would be able to identify this number somehow. Can anything be done on this front?

Nokia :: E71 Incoming Number Not Identified From Contacts
Incoming caller numbers are not identified unless they are listed exactly as the incoming caller ID format. I travel internationally and have numbers from more than 10 countries. The only way I can seamlessly use dialing across zones is if I store the number as +(COUNTRY-CODE)(LOCAL NUMBER).Why does the E-71 not identify incoming numbers like previous Nokia phones? Currently this is my only grouse, and a major one, with a fantastic phone!

IPhone :: No SIM Detected
I was just texting yesterday, and all of a sudden I get no service, and it doesn't show the AT&T "sign", and then I get a pop-up saying "No SIM Detected". A simple restart fixes it.This also happened the day before. It happens, whenever it does occur, about once a day. And always a simple restart fixes it. This happened about 4-5 times so far. I told one of my friends who has the First Gen, and she had it happen once to her also (After I told her the first time). I have a 3GS running 3.1.2 on AT&T. ...Now that I think about it, could it be a tower problem, since it always happens either at my house or at school (Which is a 8-10 minute walk, so I'm sure it's in the same tower?)

IPhone :: 3gs Detected As Camera
I bought the 3GS iPhone 32gb today and went to register on my PC and when connected to the uSB ports it was detected as a camera and only gives me the option of Photo Shop etc. It is also visible in 'My Computer' as a camera

I tried various USB ports as I believed only half where USB 2.0 the same happened after each restart, so I bought a new PCI USB 2.0 card and tried it through that with the same issue. The Iphone works normally on another PC but obviously I want it to sync to my PC and Music

IPhone :: 3G Cant Be Detected On Computer
My iPhone 3GS cant be detected on my computer (more specifically the "my computer" page). I said that because the iTunes can recognize my iPhone without any problems (Yep, I even did a restore). Everytime I go to the device and printers / device manager, I always get the "!" mark next to the iPhone highligting the troubleshooter. The troubleshooter can solve this issue BUT the moment I re-plug my iPhone, it goes back to the same scenario. (Troubleshooter > iPhone has a driver problem error > reinstall device driver > FIXED)
Added info:
Other iPhone 3GS (my brother's) connects perfectly fine.
It charges on the computer and on the power adapter.
iPhone folders (the program) detects my "broken" iPhone (it's slow importing the photos from the iPhone but I don;t have a choice), I wonder why the windows can't.
I've done these:

IPhone :: Wi-Fi Network Not Detected
I had a friend's iPhone 3G for the 1st time in my hands. I must say that I'm impressed, as usual, by the Apple's design and the global impression.I was playing around with it and I wanted to connect to my wlan (Airport) but the iPhone could find only one network even if there are around 10 of them in my flat but my wifi wasn't listed. I just antered the essid + wpa2 key manually but still the iPhone couldmt connect.

IPhone :: Not Detected In ITunes
I just got my replacement iPhone. I could not get it activated using my existing iTunes so I went and installed the latest iTunes on my Windows 7 machine. I was only then able to activate my iPhone. Now, I want to restore my iPhone but the latest version of iTunes for Windows will NOT detect it. XP shows I have the iPhone and allows me to transfer the pic I took, so this is not a Windows problem, rather an iTunes issue. I checked all my services and enabled every single one and started them, still no iPhone detected.

IPhone :: It Is Not Detected By ITunes?
My iPhone recently stopped getting signals. It says "No Service" on the top, I tried putting different SIM cards, yet no difference. So I cannot receive or make calls.

So I decided to connect my iPhone to iTunes to restore it, because it may fix the issue. I connected it to 2 different computers, 5 different USB ports, running latest version of iTunes (10.6), but the iPhone would not ever be detected by iTunes.

I tried getting my iPhone into DFU mode, it shows up a cable and itunes logo, but still the iTunes doesn't detect the iPhone.

IPhone :: 4 Not Detected In ITunes?
I did a complete format on my PC with Windows 7 Professional. Just like a do once a year if it needs it or not.All software reinstalled normally as usual Installed iTunes yesterday and got my iPhone 4 hooked up to it just to setup a sync with it again, which it did. After a restart of the computer, iTunes was not seeing the phone whatsoever. Still shows up in Computer devices as shown here:As well, as followed normal troubleshooting with iTunes [url] settings and Firewall (Comodo Firewall) and Antivirus (Avast!) disabled both, and connected to phone again after restarting iTunes.Issue persistedA couple times I connected I received 2 different error messages (this does not come up all the time however)Obviously nothing has been changed on the iPhone since the format. The only different thing that occured was when the phone was connected initially to the computer and I did my primary sync I was prompted to Either "Merge" the data, or have it "replace". Of course I selected Merge. No data was changed with this and all information synced as normal.

This evening I have reinstalled iTunes completely as well as the Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application support, etc. cleaned registry, restarted and reinstalled. As I assumed, iTunes opened and found the phone connected and synced.Restarted the computer again. opened itunes. I notice it hangs (no phone connected) for about 15-20 seconds then finally opens. It did this previously as well before the reinstall. Also booting iTunes in Safe mode (Ctrl+shift) does the same thing.

IPhone :: Not Detected By ITunes (VISTA PC)
I've got a 3G iphone which used to connect to my VISTA PC with no problems using the previous version of iTunes. Since installing the latest version of iTunes my iPhone is not detected by iTunes however, windows appears to detect it as either a camera or storage device. I've tried with no luck..
1. reinstalling iTunes 8.0.2.20 from scratch
2. restarting the iPod/Apple mobile device services
3. updating the drivers for the device
4. disabled firewall/antivirus
5. installing the previous version of iTunes

In addition I've run the itunes diagnostic tool and it can not connect with the iphone.Im guessing this is some kind of driver issue, but I have no clue how to solve the problem.Does anyone have any ideas?

IPhone :: 3Gs No Longer Detected Or Charged By MacBook
My iPhone 3Gs (3.1) has been running fine, until several hours ago today, when I plugged it to my MacBook, the iPhone is no longer detected - it doesn't show up in iTunes, nor it is charged. I tried opening iPhoto, and it wasn't there too. Not with Image Capture too. I tried charging it using the out-of-box wall charger using the same out-of-box USB cable I use for MacBook, and it can be charged without any problem. Then I put it into Recovery mode, and there iTunes can see it. I don't want to restore it before I figure out exactly what went wrong, as I don't want the restore process somehow gets stuck in the middle that the connection is lost again.

I've tried reinstalled iTunes, including completely removal of Apple Mobile Device Support, as instructed by Apple. But still no luck.I've tried switching to another USB port of my MacBook. No luck.My iTunes is the latest 9.0.1, and my Mac OSX is 10.6.1. My iPhone is on 3.1, upgraded from 3.0.I've read from web that it seems I'm not the only one out there having this problem. But none of them seem having any real working solution.
