Need to update iPhone; have backed up but that will not protect apps etc. cant sync with own original computer; how do I keep Apps or am I simply being shafted into losing it all.

my ipone was recently disabled due to some "friend" trying to break into it, but i dont have the computer i originally synced it with, only a computer that i have never synced it with. is there a way to undisable it, even if it means losing all my data?

It seems that I have an iPhone that had the password changed and then forgot so ended up locking the phone. Once locked I was advised to go to the Apple store where they said to connect to the original PC, but that machine is no longer available (hard drive crash and wipe). There is no back-up available, so how can I reset the password to access the phone? And then sync (or transfer) the iPhone to a new computer? Any special needs to complete a backup at this time?

I spent hours cropping pictures on my iPhone using it's built in editing feature and I "saved" every single one. Plugged in my iPhone to my Ultrabook to copy them and NONE of them have retained any of the edits I made. ALL the pictures I cropped are back to their original picture size. Why aren't the edits I made on the photos applied to them when I import them to my computer? And why does my iPhone ask me to "save" after I make changes if it doesn't really save them?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi am stuck in a tricky situation and would things first i know this is quite a frequently asked question as i have done a bit of searching on the net about it however could not not find anything that totaly matches myproblem, i have recently purchased a brand new laptop which runs windows 7 compared to my old desktop which ran XP, i have tried syncing all of my iphone 4s contents onto my new laptop's itunes library including everything not just music or videos and i got the infamous pop up "The iphone is synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this Itunes library" the problem is that my original itunes library does not exist no more as my desktop was completly wiped and had XP redownloaded onto it again because it had a virus, which also wiped all of my hard drive so i cant even get everything i backed up off of my phone from it, i have managed to sign in to the itunes store and allowed my laptop to work with itunes,i have also transferred my purchases from my phone to my new itunes library but this only includes my apps and obviously not my contacts and photos and everything, i still get the pop up if i go to sync my apps from my library anyway, is there any way i can delete my original itunes library without it even existing anymore so that i can just start afresh and sync everything i have on my phone now directly to my new itunes library? or do i need to purchase this iphone rip/backup/store software that everyone goes on about or something? to be honest its really annoying my now as i just want to be able to sync everything like how i used to,

My IPhone 4s was working properly and will NOT sync to my PC using Windows 7 or Windows XP, Latest version of ITunes Available, and everything updated. I updated my IPhone to the latest version of IOS available yesterday, and now it will not Sync.
