When I swipe upward to open the camera app (before entering the Passcode Lock number) and then close the camera app, my phone is completely unlocked. This is a security weakness that permits anybody to use my phone without needing the passcode. Is there a way to require a Passcode to be entered? I can't seem to find it. I found a claim in the iOS 5.1 description that says if you click the Home button from the camera app that "you're intercepted by the Passcode Lock" but I don't find that to be the case.
I'm unable to turn passcode lock off on my iPhone4. Although the option "Turn Passcode Off" is available in settings, it is grayed out and cannot be selected.
Do I have to reset my phone to eliminate this function? The "turn passcode off" funciton is gray'd out in the phone settings. I was prompted to put this passcode on while adding a new Exchange email account and did not recognize what I was doing. I thought the prompt related to Exchange..
Have downloaded update 5.1 to my iphone 3gs. I now require to enter passcode before I can access my emails or any other applications. This was not the case prior to this update. Can anyone assist with access without having passcode?
Everytime when I connect my Iphone to my Mac and open Iphoto with a phone connection, a warnig window keeps popping up. Showing "Photos in the Camera Roll on "Iphone 4S" cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a passcode." But i have never set up any passocde for my camera roll.
I did the ios5 software update and I have the camera icon in the home screen lock mode, but if you go into the camera from your lock screen and then press the home button, it takes you to your unlocked home screen without asking for the password.How do I change it so that it is always password protected?
Friend of my husbands gave my daughter an iphone 4 with a cracked screen. This is good enough for the daughter who would probably crack her screen soon. We WANT to restore it and not have any old data. She purchased an ATT Go phone sim card, so that she can use it with the phone. it works, says it's activated, but still won't do anything without the passcode. Isn't there a hardware reset or something?
iphone 4 disabled and cannot enable unless restore with itunes. However do not have origional computer it was synced with last and also do not want to restore and lose all the numbers and personal information can I bring into apple or ATT to reset for me? I do not want to lose some information i have in the phone.
My iphone screen has gone blank. Im trying to back it up in to itunes but because i have a passcode i cant. i cant enter my passcode on my phone because i have a blank screen, is there a way around this so i can still backup my phone onto my computer?
