IPhone :: Track Stolen 4 Without An Installed Application
I've had my iPhone 4 stolen. I've not got a mobile me subscription, (but I'd buy one if it meant I could track the phone?) and haven't installed any third party tracking app either. Is there any way it could be tracked? It seems silly that my network can send a shutdown signal, to essentially "brick" the phone unless it's recovered, but can't have the device report it's location...

IPhone :: Lost / Stolen Phone - Can Track If Someone Plugs It To Their Computer To Sync To Itunes?
I recently lost or someone stole my phone. I didn't do the mobile Me for some reason and now I'm stuck in a predicament. I was wondering since I have the serial number and everything for the phone if apple could track and see if someone plugs it into their computer to sync to itunes and make it seem to be theres. Also, would MobileMe be able to find the phone, say if I did have it, even if they eject the sim card and replace it with theres? I plan on checking my statements to see if they called someone with my phone number and try and trace it back. Information: iPhone OS 3.0.1

IPhone :: Track Stolen Phone
My teacher had her iPhone stolen right out of her purse today and I was wondering if there was any way to track it without the use of MobileMe or any other software. I was thinking that maybe since it has GPS it can be tracked down.

IPhone :: Track A Stolen Phone?
The phone has probably been turned off and wiped as there is no answer to his number. Is there anyway to track the iPhone or try to find out who took it? I've seen many threads on apps that would be able to track it. But if the phone has been completely wiped, how would this work?

IPhone :: Track/Trace My Stolen Phone
My iPhone was just stolen a few hours ago. Unfortunately there was not yet a tracking app installed as it was brand new. I NEED to find a way to atleast see the location. I have already tried checking the recent calls, texting the phone, offering a reward, even contacting At&t - all to no avail. So I am wondering if its possible AT ALL to Track this thing down.

IPhone :: Stolen 4 - How To Track It By 'Find My IPhone'?
I have a iPhone 4 which was stolen from my bag three days ago. The robber managed to switch off the iPhone as it went offline when I tried to track it using 'Find my iPhone'. Is there anyway to get my iPhone back ? I selected 'remote lock' and 'email me when the phone goes online' but not remote lock as I was afraid I can't track it in the future. The phone is passcode locked, so, I bet he can't use it. The iPhone was running iOS 5.0.1 and I'm living in Saudi Arabia. It was officially unlocked and I was using the STC carrier. And 3G was on when the phone was stolen. Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1

IPhone :: Phone Lost / Stolen
I am having the same problem. My iPhone was stolen from me and I really need it for work. I am totally willing to pay the full price for it but after getting denied by AT&T and Apple I've had about enough. I've raved about the phone and how amazing the product is for the past year but after this kind of service from ATT and Apple I don't think I would buy another Apple product on principle alone. I would expect this kind of behavior from AT&T but I really thought Apple paid a little more attention to the consumer. Guess its all about making a buck but a lot of loyal customers are getting screwed in the meantime. Just the idea of having apple tell me that I cannot have my stolen phone replaced. That's the typical kick when they are down response you can expect from AT&T but not apple sellouts. Information: Dell Mac OS X (10.5.6)

IPhone :: Lost Or Stolen / How To Remote Delete Contacts?
I have seen some apps like pageonce that will allow you to enter all your account data into their app and then if it's lost or stolen ... self destruct. I don't see in their information that they will also self destruct the email/contacts/calendars/photos that are constantly syncing with Mobile Me. I have sensitive in formation in my contacts most of all and would like to be able to shut my phone off completely, not just an app but all the data to be blocked. Is such a think possible? IPhone :: Way To Protect To 3GS Data When Phone Lost / Stolen?
iPhone gets stolen, thief takes out SIM card to prevent remote wipe (not sure that would even help), thief jailbreaks iPhone and accesses entire file system via SSH.I thought this was ironic, but would it help if people jailbreak their iPhones and change the root password to prevent a hacker from doing this first?My company is thinking of deploying iPhones and from all the articles I've read, the iPhone's security can be bypassed in comparison to the Blackberry just by having a paper clip.Not sure if anyone has ever given it too much thought but maybe we can start a discussion on how to protect the data on your iPhone in case it gets lost or stolen.Anyone else worried?
