My old iphone backs up ok to itunes. HOWEVER.... it will NOT import into my new iphone 4s. Seems there's some corrupt data or something and an error message appears. I've wiped the iphone 4 clean several times and still teh same problem.
Anyway, it's better to have a clean iphone 4s... so instead of relying on itunes backup, is there any other way to load the phone record and SMS messages?
I have already transferred everything else with icloud and so on.
I had a BB bold 9700, i backup all my files using desktop manager without specifying anything, now i got new bold 9790, i tried to restore the backup file using the desktop manager, after restoring, the backed SMS only appear, any idea how to troubleshoot this problem?

My family has an Iphone 3g and 4s and an old unused 4 which we don't use because it dropped so many calls. I had to replace the 3g with a new 3g as the battery was no longer active. (We are awaiting the new 5 to update). I have the app Navigon. When I tried to syn this app on the new 3g phone via my mac and itunes, it said the version is incompatible and will not sync. I have an older version on my iphone 4. How can I syn the version on my iphone 4 with that on the new 3g?.
Im asking is does anyone know of a single programme that will transfer all apps, music, photos, contacts, videos, etc. from iphone to a macbook pro. And then allow one to then sync this up to itunes?
This is as I have an iphone synced to a PC but have just bought a macbook pro and am wondering what is the easiest way to start syncing my phone to the mac without any loss of data? So how does that work? I am most likely going to preorder my iPhone 4 and have it delivered, but I was curious about a smooth transition because my current iPhone uses a regular sized SIM car, and the new one is a micro SIM, I'm sure they come with one in them, but how will I transfer service from my old SIM to the new one when it arrives?
I have been syncing my previous two iphones with my PC Lap top. I would like to start syncing my IP4 with my Mac Mini. I currently use my mini to sync my Ipad and use a different set of apps on each device. What is the best way to get my app collection from my PC to the Mac and start using my favorite apps? I initially thought Home Sharing would be useful for this but HS looks like it's mostly made for sharing music and videos.
My old iphone screen broke and i got a new replacement phone. However, I play a game and i need to transfer the account to the new phone but i new the old UDID and the New UDID. the new one isnt a problem, its finding the old one that i need. seeing as i dont have the old phone anymore, is there anyway to find this out?
I am away from home. My son has sent me 5 mp3 files via email. I cannot get them saved to my iPad nor iPhone, but i saved them onto my daughter's windows pc. Now i can't transfer them to my iPhone. All i want is to get 5 mp3files on my iPhone.
Previously, I've used Audacity to edit a song in my iTunes library for use as a ringtone. I'd open the .mp3 or whatever file it was, copy out the bit of the wave that I wanted for a ringtone, save the file as a .m4a and then rename that file to a .m4r for importing as a ringtone in iTunes. I've never had an issue with this process until iOS 5.
Since updating, not all of the ringtones I've created sync to my iPhone 4. I've tried recreating several of them and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. of the 43 ringtones I see in my iTunes library, only 26 actually sync. I checked to make sure that iTunes is set to sync all ringtones for my device and tried recreating some of them. I noticed that even ringtones that I didn't create myself are not syncing, as the free ringtone for "Want You Gone" off the Portal 2 OST from Valve will not transfer!
I just built a new pc. what do I need to know to transfer/sync my iphone to the new pc? I have downloaded ITunes, I have not yet downloaded outlook. This will be a switch from office 2003 to Office 2010?
my macbook air's hd failed and has just been replaced. i'm a backup kind of guy but was away for a month and lost that month's stuff. except it's on my iphone - at least some great photos are - in a folder from my old iphoto. anyway, how do i get those photos into my new iphoto? they're not photo stream or camera roll.
