IPhone :: Red Circle With Dash For Deleting Photo Albums Disappeared?

The red circle with dash for deleting the photo ablums isn't showing when I clicked "Edit"...just blank space next to the the album photo/name. I'm puzzled 'cuz I don't know how it did happened. Is there a way to fix it so I can delete the album? Or at least, delete all photos at once, not one by one to increase the memory?

IPhone :: Move Photos From Photo Roll To Albums And Not Remain In Photo Roll
Just "upgraded" my Palm Pre for a iPhone 4 and going crazy trying figure out how to move my pictures out of the photo roll and into different albums. From what I have tried it seems making different albums only tags the photo but doesn't actually move it. Any suggestions as to how I can have pictures in different albums without them staying in the photo roll also? Do I need to use an app to be able to do this?

IPhone :: Getting Photo Albums Off From Old One?
I have a first generation iphone where I had uploaded photo albums from my macbook, later my macbook crashed, and I lost all of the photos. The only copy I have of these photos is on my old iphone. I was able to import the camera roll, but the albums I put on the phone aren't available for import to iphoto or image capture. I tried downloading iExplorer but it could not view them either.

IPhone :: Multiple Photo Albums On (ver 2.02)
I dont often use the Iphones 2 megapixel camera. Instead I wanted to install numerous "photo libraies" onto the Iphone from different directories on my computers hard drive. (High Res DSLR Pictures taken with a nikon dslr) FINALLY found out how to do this.... by first creating the individual "Albums" in Elements ver 6 and then using Itunes (ver 7.71) to "sync" the individual "photo albums" onto the Iphone. While this does work, and does create individual "Photo Albums" on the Iphone, there is one negative "side effect" that I wish I could eliminate.

The best way to explain this is by this example - suppose I create 3 new "Photo Albums" in Elements 6 and call them "album1", "album2", and "album3". They all have different pictures and are not really limited in size. When I hook the Iphone to Itunes and go to the "Photos Tab" and choose sync to Albums in Elements, Itunes displays the names of just my three albums, and gives me the opportunity to checkmark them so they will sync with the Iphone. So far, so, good,

After the "Syncing" is finished, all three of my new Albums are perfectly installed on the Iphone. Here is where the problem starts - Itunes automatically creates a 4th Photo Album, always called the "Photo Library" and this album contains every picture from the 3 Albums I managed to get onto the Iphone.

So if I installed one Album with 50 pictures, another with 400, and another with 200, the Album, always called "Photo Library" will contain all 650 pictures - in other words this is a total duplication of files on the Iphone apparently.

There seems to be no way to delete this "Photo Library". file on the Iphone. That file is not originating from elements 6.If anybody thinks they can help in any way I would appreciate it. The Apple Iphone users guide is of no help, and the Apple Tech support people that I have spoken to were not at all familiar with the way the Iphone works with Elements.

So nobody seems to know... All I want to do is to prevent the Album "Photo Libray" being generated on the Iphone as it is a total duplication of the individual albums that I have alread uploded to the Iphone.

IPhone 3G :: How To Organize Photo Into Albums?
I have an iPhone 3G that I sync with iTunes on a Windows XP machine. I take a lot of pictures with the iPhone. Now I have 1600 or so pictures in my camera roll album. How do I organize them into albums? Tried to use windows explorer to organize the photos on the computer. Can't see what the photos are since they seem to be in some raw format. I read something about iPhoto but it looks like that is Mac only. So, how do I organize photos?

IPhone :: Creating Photo Albums
I just watched the preview of the new iPhone OS 3.0. At one point he was sending two pictures through e-mail, he said something like 'I think I have a Hawaii album in here..' and you could clearly see multiple albums in his phone instead of just 'Camera Roll.' How do you create more albums? I wanted to know since I got my iPhone, but gave up until I just saw this.. Thanks!

IPhone :: Possibility Of More Than One Photo Albums
I'd like to sort the photos on my iPhone into different albums so that I can find them more easily, but I can't seem to find a way of doing this even while plugged into iTunes. Can it be done? Seems a bit of an oversight, and doubly strange since the Photos app takes you to what looks like a list of albums, but you can't add a new one or move photos around.

IPhone :: Duplication Of Photo Albums
I have started to put iPhoto Albums onto my iPhone. If I sync an Event, it all works fine and I end up with the camera roll and the new Event I just synced onto iPhone.

The problem I have is when I do this with an Album, rather than an Event. I tried this last night and for some really strange reason, when I sync only the new Photo Album to my iPhone, when the sync is finished and I look at the photos section on the iPhone, I end up with my camera roll (as it should), the new Album I have synced (as it should) but then I also get a mirrored Album which is named "Photo Album"

Any idea why it's duplicating the Album I am syncing and naming it Photo Album? It's useless to me having 2 of the same Albums on my iPhone, one being the one I synced and the other being a duplicaton with a different name.

Any ideas at all on this? It could just be a bug that needs fixing, as I said above, it doesn't happen when I sync an Event, only happens when I sync an Album I have created in iPhoto.

IPhone :: Why Do I Have 3 Photo Albums On My Phone?
I take all of my photos and put them onto my Macbook into a folder called "Pictures" and then into a sub folder name "iPhone Photos". Now in itunes when I sync I have selected to sync the photos from "iPhone Photos" but now I have 3 photo albums named:

Camera Roll
Photo Library
iPhone Photos

I'm sure its me not understanding what's going on but I believe I would need to have 2 photo albums [not 3] because 1 is for the pictures that I actually take with the camera named "Camera Roll" and then another one for pictures that I sync. How can I merge these into 2 albums because 2 of the albums have the identical photos in it.

they are taking up the space on my phone. both albums as the same 80 photos. there has got to be a way to remove them. if not that was very stupid on apples part. unless it is a move to make you get a bigger phone.

IPhone :: Extract Photo Albums To New Computer From Ip
MY OLD LAPTOP WAS STOLEN from a home Burglary Have since bought a New Laptop. Before the theft, I had synced Photo Albums (w/ 1000+ photos) from the old Laptop to my iPhone 3G. But now that my old laptop, the original source of the photo albums are gone, and now I ONLY have the Photo Albums in my iPhone as memories. Now that I have a New Laptop, if I try to sync the new iTunes from the New Laptop, it will essentially ERASE ALL the photos on my iPhone.

These photos were all personally taken, from friends parties, family parties, some vacation, and random shots from school.

I have tried to look at the iPhone folder in My Computer. Looked into the file folder, but it only shows me DCIM and 100Apple, which are the photos taken from my iPhone. Have also looked at iPhone Browser, but could not find a way to extract the old photo albums.

Was wondering if anyone can help me to figure out a way to transfer/extract 1000+ photos from my iPhone to New Laptop.

Spoke to Apple Tech Support (who really aren't that helpful) who suggested:
1) Take a Screen Shot of Each Photo and then extract it from the iPhone.
2) Email myself all 1000+ photos.

SERIOUSLY? Is that the best Apple can come up with?!! I'm not impressed with their support at All.

So, this is my Problem. I Hope someone can help me figure out how to solve this.

IPhone :: Photo Albums Absurdly Low Quality
I'll start with saying I've made a thread somewhat related to this subject almost a year ago: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=551024 where I was wondering why my photos synced to the iPhone would double in file size when transferred from my computer to the phone. Back then, the photo albums on the phone were of acceptable quality so I never tried to push the issue.

Recently, I would say after 3.0.1 since I don't remember 3.0 having this problem, the photos in my photo albums are of absurdly low quality. Here are 3 photos that I've emailed from the phone:

These are the originals.

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/5791/img0697b.jpg
http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/6889/img7741k.jpg
http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3673/img9532i.jpg

That gradient banding is horrible. And I'm quite sure it didn't used to do this. Something else to note, related to my aforementioned thread, the file sizes for the photos from the phone range from 40 to 100 KB. My original files are in the 300 to 500 KB range, saved at maximum quality from Photoshop at 1024*683.

The originals on my computer weigh in at around 650 MB: iTunes optimizing these files inflates the size to 800 MB while making them lower resolution and lower quality. So yeah, what the hell?

Did they change the compression algorithm at some point? How are these 40-100 KB files taking up so much space? Unless the phone dynamically saves an even smaller file to email and MMS. Can someone try syncing my 3 originals through iPhoto or Aperture and check if those programs handle the optimizing differently?

Addendum: My originals are saved from Photoshop. Photos are synced manually through folders. I don't use iPhoto or Aperture. I've deleted the albums and resynced a few times already. There are 1340 photos on the phone, 211 are from the Camera Roll.
