IPhone :: Receive MMS Messages But Can't Send Them
May 13, 2012
I have "MMS messaging" turned on in settings. When I turn Cellular data on I can receive MMS messages; but I can't send them. It just starts sending them and then the red exclamation mark appears. How can I change that?
I can't really receive any messages. It's all delayed. I'm from Philippines. my iPhone had been unlocked since my mom bought it in USA. I can't receive any messages here in our province but when I'm in Metro Manila, it's working.
I am able to receive messages but I can not send any. This started while in an area of spotty coverage and continues even when I am back in area with good connection. Does not work to resend, tried power down, sync, turning on and off mms switch. Can not resolve this issue. Could it be the carrier?
I recently got a new iphone 4s which isn't letting me send or receive mms (picture) messages from other non-iphone users. I can send and receive mms message from other people using an iphone4s but I can't from people using other phones such as a nokia..
I have a iPhone 3GS I can receive SMS messages but cannot send any please help also why does my screen look like this at the top and why do my keys stick
I can ring people off the sam sim/ phone i am connected to the internet, WI-FI and have signal from T- Mobile.i have tried reseting network settings and turning it off but they don't seem to have changed anything, also i have turned I message on and off and tried but still wont send text messages.
Ive been having this problem for a while now. Many times a day i will go to send a text, and when I do the message will not send, the sending bar never complete. When this happens, my message app basically crashes. If i go home and come back, sometimes it will just to a blank message, and when i go back all the message will be cleared. I cant receive messages at this time either. Im forced to restart the phone, and rewrite the text. Once i do sometimes I will start to get the texts I missed, and other times i will come back to the crashed message app that just shows a blank new message, and will have to keep restarting it till it works again. The weird problem is that this happened on my iphone 5 too after I broke the screen. Ive been trying to fix this for a while now with no luck.
I have a 3.1 Firmware JailBroken by Blackra1n since it was released.2 weeks ago I lost the ability to send and receive text messages, I'll send them and no error shows but the person never receives them and I never receive theirs, NOT a network problem as far as a can tell. I want to restore it but am afraid of losing 3.1 and having to upgrade. THE REASON I want a jailbroken iphone IS for MYWI, sharing my internet connection with others.
I recently got an iPhone because I needed to be able to group text with my boss and coworkers. However, upon getting a brand new iPhone 4s (Verizon) I discovered that my phone still does not send or receive group texts. I have turned on group messaging so I should be receiving them. Is it something I can fix?
for the past 5 days or so now I am unable to receive imessages. My phone allows me to send them out but I am getting multiple people telling me that they are unable to send me imessages back, and they are being forced into SMS messages. PLEASE HELP! this is so annoying! my phone is updated and has always worked up until recently. what is the deal?
In my text message settings, under "Receive At," it says "Error" next to my phone number, so I can only receive iMessages at my email, but regular text messages are exempt. I want to receive and send ALL messages with my phone number.
I recently discovered that I am not receiving text messages on my iphone 6. I also found out that the text messages I thought that I was sending are not being received by the recipient. I an however successfully sending and receiving iMessages. I purchased the iPhone 6 in August and didn't have any issues sending or receiving texts until about two weeks ago (early November). I have iOS 8.1.1.Â
So far I have tried the following with no results:
-turned phone off and on
-reset network settings
-Removed and reinserted SIM card
-turned imessage off and tried sending texts
-turned on "Send as SMS" in message settingsÂ
None of these troubleshooting efforts have been effective. Something that works?
I just replaced my droid based phone with an iphone 5s. I have MMS turned off to save the amount of data we are using. But now I cannot send or receive group text messages. This is a major issue for me since my kids' sports coaches use this to give us updates...etc.Â
Is there a setting I am missing? I am almost wishing I had stayed with my old phone.
I replaced 3 iphone 3g's with 3 new iphone 4's on my family plan. 2 of them are working just fine. The other one is unable to send or receive texts or mms. Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.
When out of range of wireless service but on a wi-fi network with internet access, should it be possible to still send/receive text messages? It seems to work fine with iMessage recipients but not others.
I have one problem with my AT&T iPhone 4. I send texts to people and they don't receive it. It sends but the person doesn't receive it. This is multiple people on different networks. Sometimes I don't even receive their texts. I did a little research and I learned that it isn't an issue from Apple but rather AT&T. And this has been going on for a few weeks. Should I contact AT&T about this?
