I plugged my iPhone in last night before going to sleep, it got the "battery charging" indicator, but when I woke up, it was only at 80% and still "charging".I felt it and it was warm to the touch.Turned it off, plugged it in, and turned it back on. Came back on with 99% charge. 5 minutes later, it was back down to 80% and kind of warm.Is my phone toast?
for a couple of weeks now the connection on my iPhone 5 has been bad when trying to charge. It would constantly connect and then disconnect straight away until you got it into a very still position where the cable or the phone would not be touched. Now the phone has stopped charging altogether. I have checked the charging port to see if there is any lint but there is none in there. The strange thing is that if you turn the phone off, and then plug the cable into the phone it recognize it and then will turn on.I have got a genius bar appointment in the next couple of days but will have to go without a phone until then, and it is also out of warranty so I assume apple will try to make me pay for it if it needs fixing. my battery in my 4 goes from full power to dead in 6 hours. i have closed all apps and turned off location servicies. no new apps have been loaded. this started 3 or 4 days ago. any suggestions?? bad battery maybe?
Until recently my 4S worked great but now it gets warm in my pocket and loses its charge very quickly--even in standby mode. This occurs whether I use the iPhone or not. I closed all apps and recharged the iPhone several times today but the same problem repeats itself.
1. My 3g iphone suddenly stopped charging last week. It was after I had forgot to charge it one night and drained it to red. It's now in a state that it'll detect power plug in but just won't show additional charge in the battery. I tried the hard reset method and it didn't help. Does anyone have any idea?
2. I took it to an apple retail store and all the rep did was trying to charge it for 15-min and said will just replace it. I'm ok w/ that. My only problem is I have some private information in it. Does anyone know of any method to completely wipe the flash in the state my iphone is in now? My company's admin told me he can send some signal to remotely request a wipe out of the memory on the iphone. However, that will only work if it ever gets online.
I've recently bought a second hand C905 and it has the following problem:I charge it up and it gets so far (30% or 50%) then either shows fully charged or reports a charging error. The battery is not the problem as I've tried it in other phones and it's fine. I've reflashed the firmware, but the problem is still there. Otherwise the phone works perfectly fine. Why would the phone then lose charge quickly or not charge to the full amount? If I charge the battery fully on another phone and then place it in the C905, it won't turn on.like it thinks that the battery is dead!Any advice on fixing this myself?
I have a user with a E72. It has the most up to date firmware. The user is finding that the battery does not last very long. By mid day the phone is almost out of life. He is not making lots of calls. Life goes while on standby. We have also brought a new battery, still has the problem. The battery is a genuine Nokia battery.
I just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.
We tried plugging in through several different USB cables/chargers and it doesn't show up as affecting the battery life at all. We've plugged it into the computer; iTunes doesn't recognize it. We were able to push a factory reset, but when we tried to restore it from an old backup, iTunes won't recognize it.
My little baby dropped the phone yesterday and today the phone does not charge.I tried plugging it into different power cords in the house, into the USB port on my Mac.Nothing works. When plugged into Mac, it gives this message 'This device is currently drawing too much power. The hub to which it is attached will be deactivated."iTunes does not recognize the phone. When plugged into power socket, nothing comes up on screen.I tried holding home button, not working.I tried holding both Home button and the 'On/Off button' on the top right, not working.Any solutions, really appreciate it.
My iPhone 5s will not charge. It went dead about 4 days ago and since has not charged. When connected to the charger it shows on the screen that it is charging but never power up. When I attempt to manually power it on it says it dead connect to the charger.
It has been acting up the past few days, randomly turning itself off, and I am trying to get it to turn back on. Randomly it will turn back on when I push the power button, but is unresponsive when doing all the reset combos. Today it turned itself off while sitting on the table at home. I have not been able to get it back on and its been about 6 hours now, and its been plugged in to the wall charger the whole time. If I take it to apple, can they pull the serial number off for warranty purposes?
iPhone won't reload. Lost battery power and the phone would not turn on after charging. Tried the restore and get to "Restoring phone" but the status bar on the phone never fills in. Restarted my Mac, did not have a problem connecting with Apple.
I'm on Fido's network and have already my previous iPhone with Apple for the same issue. My phone just loses reception and goes in "searching" mode. Toggling "airplane" mode doesn't work either. Today I didn't have service for good two hours. Sometimes it would show I have reception but won't allow me to make a call or send text message. My current iPhone is just over a week old but the guy at the Apple store said its an issue with my carrier. I know thats not true since my wife has an iPhone as well and she never has this problem. I'm using the latest version software on my 3GS. Should I swap it again because this is becoming a headache now?
Anyone else having the same problem and if so then have you been able to resolve it?
sinse the last update of my xperia ray the phone is discharging the battery to lowest level and can not be charge by wall charger with 1200 mA the only way to charge is with some charge "booster" it's kind of external battery charger.
I'd like to charge my phone with the power off. However, while it charges, no matter when or how many times I power it down, it automatically powers back on. Because I normally charge it while I'm asleep, I don't like hearing any notifications, etc.Is there some way to turn it off and keep it off while charging?
I find that when the phone is on charge I can never power it on, it simply reboot repeatedly after the logo shows up, it is on V 10.2010.12-9.I also have problem with the USB charging, I can charge the phone with the PC via a standard USB cable, but the same cable doesn't not charge with external battery pack, and I got a special cable that charge both with PC and external battery pack, but it does not do data transfer, so I have to carry 2 cables and spare battery. I also find that, the phone is unable to charge a completely ran down battery, it must be charge on the dock, I think that's why the set comes with a dock charge, other non Nokia USB charging phone also comes with the dock charge (in my region), so I think this is a common problem of USB charging, and the reason may be the charging is s/w controlled, if the battery is dry the phone won't work so no
My XPeria X10 is not charging since 24 hours and it is prompting by asking charging phone, connect phone and other option and nothing was acknowledged after selecting any three of the options. I dont know why? I bought this phone with lot of passion(since it is sony made) 10 months back and i really regret of buying this phone now.It doesn't has any warranty as it is bought from Singapore and i'm in India now. Please help me out with a solution apart from suggesting me to go to Sony Ericsson Service Center(They only discuss commercials despite of criticality of the part which is failed and no customer service is to be expected). The phone support is one more farse that the technician will be a very normal person and he only suggest to take the phone to nearest sony ericsson service center without even listening to your actual problem.
I have a weird issue that keeps popping up. Occasionally, I pull the power from my phone and the battery indicator says that it is still charging. If I shut the phone down, it will boot right back up because it thinks the power is connected. It doesn't do this all the time but when it does, my battery goes into a serious drain. I also have noticed that once in awhile, when the phone comes out of nighttime power saving, 3G don't come back and the battery drains big time.
My I Phone 5 keeps losing 3G and then loses service. The phone can be laid flat in front of me and I see it go from 3G to GPRS to No Service. I have a new sim and have had the antennae checked and also restored the software. Nothing has worked,
I have a Blackjack and data plan, I Can hook up to my xp pc but every once in a while it seems that the phone loses connection and i get waiting for network but i see i have bars if i click (disconnect) then (connect) (on the blackjack) it will find and attach (connect) right away. Everything is stock on the phone.
when I pass a zone without cell phone service, in the upper left corner of my phone, instead of the antenna with signal meter and the Edge icon I get a 3G icon which is wierd because we dont have 3G here. After that, the phone loses connection and I get no service at all. I have to shut down the phone and restarted and everyting works again.Any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?
If my MP3 Player is running while I'm downloading, the phone will crash & shut down, the GPS loses signal, I cannot install Nokia OVI Maps 3. The phone loses signal while I'm on the internet, etc. Does anyone know where I can get a change log for the Nokia Firmwares? I'm currently using v05.501 & I'm still experiencing the problems. Nokia Maps v3 doesn't want to install either?
When I turn this phone off, it loses ALL of my settings, including wallpapers, ringtones, etc. I have to go back in and redo every setting. Contacts and songs and text stay on memory, but the display options and ringtones disappear. Any idea why or how I can change this?
