IPhone :: PdaNet Does Not Stay Connected
Anyone else have issues with PdaNet not staying connected via USB? I have the latest registered PdaNet 1.53 and have set the desktop program to auto connect. Once I plug the phone in via the USB cable it connects fine but then drops the connection about 10 seconds later.

I work in a place where there is zero AT&T reception, but WiFi coverage in 100% of the area. I just read that iOS4 will allow WiFi to stay connected even when the device is in standby,, IS THIS TRUE?!And if so, could I just get a skype landline number, stay connected to WiFi, and use my iPhone 4 at work through Skype?

I have 2 iphone 4 both have the same problem. they wont reconnect to the wifi router even thought the icon on the phone shows that it is connected. I check the router info, it shows that about 1 min of wifi inactivity, the iphone drops connection and wont reconnect. I have to turn the wifi off then on to get connected again. looks like the same issue Jobs had on the keynote stage. Information: iphon4 Mac OS X (10.6.4)

1) Since I have upgraded my Iphone 3G from 2.1.1 OS to 3.0 OS, my WiFi connection won't stay connected. I have to keep re-entering my WEP or Password code for my WiFi connection. This happens everytime after the phone goes into sleep mode. 2) Since I have upgraded to 3.0 OS, the phone won't stay connected to my Exchange Server for downloading email from corporate server. Have to re-enter Password every time in order to down load email. Any one else having these problems since upgrading IPhone 3G to 3.0 OS? Information: Dell Windows XP Pro

I have an older iPhone (8gb) and for some reason whenever I plug it into the usb port on my computer it will not stay connected whatsoever. Itunes freaks out, it'll come up for a little bit and then just as soon as it appeared, 'Josh's iPhone' disappears. When I say "won't stay connected" I mean you'll hear the "new usb device" sound over and over again continuously and the iPhone goes crazy too. Like it's connected, disconnecting, connecting, disconnecting, etc.. The error I get during all this madness is "itunes could not connect iPhone because it received an invalid response from the device."I've used this ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1286 ) link to no avail (yet.) I am about to restart my computer right now. If it works after that I'll just simply delete this post. But anyway it's in a usb 2.0, it's plugged directly into the computer, etc etc

LG :: Vx8700 Not Stay Connected To Bluetooth
can someone let me know if they have the same prob. my cell will connect with my jabra but then it will drop it after a little while. i even tried a motorola bluetooth and the same thing happens. i took it to verizon and they said it needed a software update so they swapped out phones and still the same prob.the only way it will stay connected during a call is if i call the person and then after talking to them turn on the bluetooth

I am using a nokia 2760 phone windows xp and ivt 2.6.0.8 and nokia pc suite 7.1.26.0 the phone will connect just fine as soon as the computer is turned on and I can work with it for a minute or two some times as long as 5 minutes but then it will disconnect and the only way you can reconnect the phone is to restart the computer please help

LG :: GBU221 Bluetooth BTDiag Will Not Stay Connected
I have a Iogear GBU221 USB bluetooth adapter, and an LG VX8700 phone and an LG VX9900 (Env) phone.I am familiar with how to use bitpim and the virtual serial/com port on the BT adapter, however...I can't get the BTDiag to stay connected.On the 8700, I can transfer one song/file/picture at a time IF I'm quick enough, but then the BTDiag connection drops at about 30-45 seconds and I have to reconnect and do each transfer one at a time. So at least this phone works somewhat. However I would like to not have to do the whole dance around the pole and do transfers one file at a time. Ringtones and pictures aren't that big of a deal as far as sending, but when receiving, it won't stay long enough to do a full receive, not even one folder at a time. However...the 9900 (Env) won't even stay connected long enough to send not even one file/ringtone, etc...let alone receive anything to the computer cause it has to pull the whole folder contents from the phone to complete the transfer. But anyway...I connect the BTDiag...jump over to Bitpim like dancing on hot coals and start to send a ringtone and just as it gets close to the end of the transfer it hangs and then a popup dialog comes up that says (can't remember the whole error verbatim) something about it can't manipulate the file system on the phone, and voila...the BTDiag then disconnects. I contacted Iogear about this problem, and they said that I "probably" have to connect the phone via usb cable and let the computer recognize it that way, and then proceed with the bluetooth method. Well that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of...why would I buy the cable if I have the bluetooth dongle, or vice versa. And furthermore...why would the phone have the BTDiag service on it if they didn't intend or want you to use it.So is there some kind of fix to this issue, or am I simply missing something here??

I have 4.5.0.77 and a number of apps are failing to stay connected. They will all connect very briefly and then cite an unexpected internal err. They all will then disconnect. The only exception to this is VNCen which throws an exception: "java.io.IOException:" Bad socket id Browser, email, gmail app, bbim all work. After researching this, and following due diligence I deleted all the service books and resent them to no avail. Then (for hardware failure) I replaced the device. Once the initial service books were in place, I tried again, and again, no success. Tried again after a wipe/hard reset. No success. I contacted VZW tech support to insure provisioning was correct. It is. They are unable to assist any further. The following is a list of the apps that are failing: VNCen 1.0 BBTran 1.5 RDM+ 3.7.7 MobileFileManager 2.5.36 AOL Instant Messenger 2.1.41 (from the blackberry site) One thing I think is important to note is that I think they all connect at least for a short period of time. For example MobileFileManager has a FTP client and it will create a connection to my FTP server, I can see it in the log. VNCen will actually display my pc desktop for a little bit before it croaks. AIM begins to tease me with my buddy list before it withers. All the apps point to some unhanded exception. i blew my upgrade option on this phone in september giving up my iphone. ever since i got the phone, i have not been able to: 1 properly connect to my blue tooth device (windows mobile BT stack problem) 2 stay connected to my pc, it will connect, start syncing, then quickly disconnect during syncing. (cannot sync, and now i cannot update to 6.5). tried everything on the device (disable display off, etc). Samsung tech will not help me because my computer is running windows 7 64bit.does anyone have or know about any work-arounds for these problems?i'm about fed up here, ready to return the phone, cancel my account and go with tmobile or verizon now since they have better devices anyhow.

I had pdanet which works wonderful but the trial has ended and now I only have access to http websites. My stupid college uses https so I cant get onto it. If i delete and reinstall it, will it still limit me? If so, what is the easiest, best running alternative to pdanet that allows access to https.

I just got my BlackJack today, so I'm still googling and searching HoFo for what I can and can't do with it. Someone at another forum suggested I use PdaNet instead of the built in internet sharing program, as I've only got the $40 PDA Personal Max plan instead of the $70 PDA Personal Max plan with tethering. I downloaded and installed PdaNet, but I'm getting an error of "Modem error, PdaNet might not support your phone (err=1072). I tried searching HoFo for "BlackJack PdaNet" and did the same with Google, but I'm really coming to a dead end. Does PdaNet simply not support the BlackJack, or do I have to mess with some settings to get it to work properly?

I have a M510 and was considering getting a modem and mobile broadband service, but someone said I might be able to tether it and use PDA net. I looked through all 9 pages and did some searches here and on google and didn't see anything in this forum talking about it, so I hope this is the right place to ask.Anyway, is this doable? Does anyone have experience with it? I've seen some other posts on other forums where people say it can be done, but no posts where someone has actually done it with comprehensive instructions.Also, if it is doable, my phone didn't come with a data cable so I need to buy one. I've seen some for sale that include software and others that don't. Does PDAnet have all the functionality I'd need, or should I aim to buy a cable that comes with some software/drivers?Lastly, what's this I'm reading about Sprint catching people doing this, PAM, and stuff about disabling NAI? What's all this about?

Does anybody have any thoughts as to whether PDAnet is better at connecting with the internet via GPRS/EDGE/3G than the Internet Sharing program that comes with Windows Mobile 6? I currently have an unlocked HTC TyTnII (aka ATT Tilt) and use the ATT network. My prior phone was a Palm Treo and I used PDAnet for Palm extensively (when I didn't have available a WiFi hot spot or ethernet connection) as a wireless modem for my laptop with good success. I have been able to connect using the TyTNII with Internet Sharing (although I found it slow; but that could be because ATT coverage wasn't good where I used it). I'm not concerned with data costs (or software costs) because I have a robust data plan. However, I am concerned with performance and ease of use. I'd appreciate any opinions of people who have used/tried both.

However, whenever I'm at my work WiFi and turn the iPhone on, a pop up comes to fill in the WiFi passowrd. However, I can not put it in because it does not stay. So I have to go to pref -> network and put it in there, then it works until I put the phone in standby mode. Waking up from standby mode the same issue starts! Any idea? BB (RIM) :: When Connected To Wifi All Other Laptops Connected To Router Gets Disconnected
So picked up my bold today and turned on wifi and it was connected to my home wireless network. It worked fine for about 5 minutes and than all of a sudden all the laptops (3 of them) which were connected to that router were disconnected from internet and from the router and than I had to reset the router and start all over again and same problem persisted. Interesting enough, I had nokia N95 before and same problem happened. Also my buddy has iphone and it works perfect, no problems when connected to the wireless router, all laptops works fine. But wifi worked awesome at work with my bold! Is there any settings on the router that I have to set or like change some channel or something like that?

In Oct. I j/b my 3G w/ Blackra1n rc1 and it's cool. My iPhone's been crazy lately, so I restored it (3.1.2) and figured I'd re-j/b it tomorrow or something.Weird thing is my battery percentage still shows up. I know that it's a setting on a regular (non-j/b) 3GS, but I know it's not an option for the 3G.

IPhone :: Can Map Stay Center On Ball?
Is there any way to setup Goggle Maps so your location (purple ball) stays in the center of the map as your drive (i.e. the map automatically scrolls)? It is a pain to keep hitting the button to center the map on your location (and a driving danger fumbling with the iphone all the time).
