IPhone :: PDANet Dropping Downloads
im on OS 3.0 with PDANet version 1.53 on a 3GS. I've been looking for an answer with no luck. Does anyone know what's going on that I can't download anything for more than a few seconds? This goes for Youtube as well.

IPhone :: PdaNet Does Not Stay Connected
Anyone else have issues with PdaNet not staying connected via USB? I have the latest registered PdaNet 1.53 and have set the desktop program to auto connect. Once I plug the phone in via the USB cable it connects fine but then drops the connection about 10 seconds later.

I had pdanet which works wonderful but the trial has ended and now I only have access to http websites. My stupid college uses https so I cant get onto it. If i delete and reinstall it, will it still limit me? If so, what is the easiest, best running alternative to pdanet that allows access to https.

Samsung :: Using PdaNet With A BlackJack
I just got my BlackJack today, so I'm still googling and searching HoFo for what I can and can't do with it. Someone at another forum suggested I use PdaNet instead of the built in internet sharing program, as I've only got the $40 PDA Personal Max plan instead of the $70 PDA Personal Max plan with tethering. I downloaded and installed PdaNet, but I'm getting an error of "Modem error, PdaNet might not support your phone (err=1072). I tried searching HoFo for "BlackJack PdaNet" and did the same with Google, but I'm really coming to a dead end. Does PdaNet simply not support the BlackJack, or do I have to mess with some settings to get it to work properly?

I have a M510 and was considering getting a modem and mobile broadband service, but someone said I might be able to tether it and use PDA net. I looked through all 9 pages and did some searches here and on google and didn't see anything in this forum talking about it, so I hope this is the right place to ask.Anyway, is this doable? Does anyone have experience with it? I've seen some other posts on other forums where people say it can be done, but no posts where someone has actually done it with comprehensive instructions.Also, if it is doable, my phone didn't come with a data cable so I need to buy one. I've seen some for sale that include software and others that don't. Does PDAnet have all the functionality I'd need, or should I aim to buy a cable that comes with some software/drivers?Lastly, what's this I'm reading about Sprint catching people doing this, PAM, and stuff about disabling NAI? What's all this about?

HTC :: Internet Sharing Vs PDAnet For Windows Mobile
Does anybody have any thoughts as to whether PDAnet is better at connecting with the internet via GPRS/EDGE/3G than the Internet Sharing program that comes with Windows Mobile 6? I currently have an unlocked HTC TyTnII (aka ATT Tilt) and use the ATT network. My prior phone was a Palm Treo and I used PDAnet for Palm extensively (when I didn't have available a WiFi hot spot or ethernet connection) as a wireless modem for my laptop with good success. I have been able to connect using the TyTNII with Internet Sharing (although I found it slow; but that could be because ATT coverage wasn't good where I used it). I'm not concerned with data costs (or software costs) because I have a robust data plan. However, I am concerned with performance and ease of use. I'd appreciate any opinions of people who have used/tried both.

IPhone :: 3G Dropping Out Since 5.6
Since carrier update 5.6 I will have my 3G for a few hours then it'll go to Edge. I have to turn on Airplane mode and then turn it off to reset the network. Then it'll work for a few more hours then leave again. Anyone in the PA/NJ area also having this problem or is it just my cell tower?

Is there an official app from the appstore that would allow me to download and save a movie streamed on my iPhone and be able to watch it later without the need to stream it again? Basically I am looking for something that does the same thing to a certain extent as safari plug-in download on JB iPhones.

IPhone :: Intermittent Wifi Dropping In And Out?
I have been noticing that even when I am in a wifi area (home and work), the iphone drops my wifi connection and use 3g. I went into Settings and see that it's connected to the wifi, but it display 3g and uses 3g (surfing the net is a lot slower). And it does this intermittently. Is this normal? or should I take it back to Apple Store? The only problem that I see is if I bring it to store, I might not be able to show it to them because the nature of this problem. It seems like every since I have jailbreak and unlocked my phone with blackra1n. I have been having major problems with dropping signal. I can be on the phone with full 3G and then all of a sudden I will have No Service, it does that while I am on the phone and when I am not.

A while ago, i jailbroke iPhone 3G on 3.1.2 for the first few weeks it was working fine. Now it seems as my phone app is screwed up. I live in the country and my signal isn't the best. But it was never like this.This is what's happening - -phone will drop all signal and drop the call when talking. - i will call someone and it will sit forever and never ring for me, i call people and they can hear me for like 2 seconds then we cant hear each other. - People sometimes can get threw to me when calling. I've rebooted the phone, turned on/off 3G, and tryed the phone in diff. areas with no luck.I have these apps installed - Winterboard. Lockinfo. OpenSSH. Sbsettings. Categories. Cycorder. Five Icon dock. and a few others.

So what is Apple doing about that? My wife consistently drops calls on her iPhone 4 in a case at home where she never dropped a call in 18 months with her 3G. My 3G did this same exact thing when I got it, but software 2.2 or 2.2.1 or whichever fixed the problem perfectly.Now my 3GS drops ALL the time from the location that my 3G NEVER used to. I put both in field test and the signal strength is exactly the same from the same tower.

So this is interesting, it was brought up many times that people were very impressed that the iPhone Video camera held a rock steady 30fps. Welll i guess that is true until you shoot something in very low light as demonstrated here:Click for full resolution As you can see in Quicktime and Premiere the low light video's drop to 24fps, I guess to compensate.Still very impressive video from the camera, just thought it would be an interesting find.

Ever since I got the 2.0.2 update for my my 3G iPhone, I have had more calls get dropped and a worse signal (more static). It seems like my phone keeps switching between 3G and the Edge Network every couple hundred yards when moving or every 5 minutes when stationary. Is anyone else having this problem? I am in Los Angeles and my iphone has been dropping calls like crazy! (At least 3 or 4 times a day). Are others experiencing this issue? My iphone is jailbroken so maybe that has something to do with it.... It is really annoying though.

What is this non-sense!? Battery has been fine up until this morning. I unplugged the phone from the charger around 7:30am, it is now 12:09pm and I'm at 19% battery.Going to try and calibrate it and see what happens. Usage 3H 44M Standby 5H 6M Location Services Off Push On Brightness 33% 3G On Been listening to music for about four hours.
