IPhone :: PC Data Lost / Itunes Not Allowing To Sync Music And Pics Back To PC From Phone
I had to replace a hard drive and reinstall Vista. I lost everything I had on that hard drive, but luckily most all my music and pictures are on my iPhone. I figured I'd just sync and get them back on my computer again but it seems iTunes won't let me? I get this message that everything will be deleted on my phone and synced with everything on my computer (which is nothing at the moment). Does this mean it won't copy everything back on to my computer? How can I sync so everything will transfer? This is an easy process on my N95 8gig, so I thought it would be the same with the iPhone.

I got the 2.0.2 last night and installed it this morning. I get the screen in itunes that lets you restore from your back up. I on my 3rd restore so far, and when it finishes each time, it never goes on to the screen to let me sync, so I can put my music and video back on.

Wife and I recently got iPhones, and wanted a calendar that we both could sync with.. So we set up a joint google account, and got both of our phones set up to receive contacts and the calendar from google, but not the other way around.. Our calendars are already fully set up on our phone, so we want to upload the data from our phones to our google account.. This seems to be impossible.. Since iTunes will not let me set up my iphone to sync calendars with google.. Only microsoft outlook, which windows 7 doesn't come with.. I know this is a very specific question, but if anyone else has run into this, or can even point me in the right direction that wold be a blessing..
IPhone :: Jailbroken / Itunes Not Allowing Drag And Drop Music From Library To Phone
After waiting for some time, I finally decided to jailbreak my 1.1.2 OTB. It went perfectly fine and I also updated my iTunes to the newest version so when I plugged my phone into the computer, iTunes opened up just as it does for my iPod, and detected the phone. The problem is that it's not letting me drag and drop music from my library onto the iPhone. When I drag over the iPhone icon, it gives me a circle with a bar through it. Any ideas as to why? Any help would be much appreciated.

Motorola Motoactv :: Music Sync Failing - Data Lost
I just tried syncing music to my MotoACTV. It was going along fine, and then I got an error along the lines of "There is a network failure on drive F:. The data is lost." I have done a factory reset, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the motocast software. When I try to sync, it goes through the "Analyzing files" stage and then gets to "Syncing Music to Device" and freezes. I have tried syncing several different playlists, and nothing works.

I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

I owned a Nokia 6300 last year, but after a few months it crashed whilst receiving some pics via bluetooth. When I tried to turn it on I got the blue flash at the side, the vibration, the Nokia hands, then the black and white flashing screen. I took this back to where it was brought, and they gave me a new one, but was still unhappy as I'd lost all my pics. A year late and the same has happened again. I dont know what to do as there are pics of my son which If I lost would be heartbroken. Why the hell can't the phone cope with simple file transfers?

I recently lost or someone stole my phone. I didn't do the mobile Me for some reason and now I'm stuck in a predicament. I was wondering since I have the serial number and everything for the phone if apple could track and see if someone plugs it into their computer to sync to itunes and make it seem to be theres. Also, would MobileMe be able to find the phone, say if I did have it, even if they eject the sim card and replace it with theres? I plan on checking my statements to see if they called someone with my phone number and try and trace it back.

My phone doesn't sync songs purchased on the wifi store back to my iTunes library. It should be automatic but isn't. I've tried the transfer button but it finds nothing. I have one iTunes account only and the purchases do show. A purchased playlist is created on my phone but there is no purchased on iPhone playlist on the library. I have an external hard drive where my library is based I then have an alias on my emac and on my iBook so I can access the same library. Everything has the latest updates. I went to a genius bar and they switced my phone, still doesn't work.so: its either my account or my iTunes library.

Im in Thailand and I was having trouble with my message settings at the "recieve at" had my number and ERROR next to it, so I was told to go to the hotel computer, download itunes, sign into my apple ID then restore and backup to reset the phone, however when I did this, it erased everything on my phone and replaced it with someone call "panu" and it was in german, so I gather this was probably the peron before me using this computer, however it was signed into my apple ID so why did it do that and how do I get it back? also my icloud wasnt turned on and theres no data saved there? I had a hard drive failure on my iMac. So I lost everything...well, didnt LOSE everything....I had things backed up but my iPhone sync was unfortunately not one of those things (where is it backed up anyway?)
Ive purchased many apps since the app store opened. But obviously I didnt always keep them on my phone. I'd sync regularly so most of what I purchased or got free was in the applications tab when I plugged in my iPhone.
Now - there is nothing there except what was on my iPhone at the time I synced when I got my computer back with the new hard drive in it.
So I'm curious....how can I get every App that I downloaded back into that sync area so I can "check" which ones I'd like synced at any given time? Is there a way to just say "download every App Ive ever bought into iTunes"?
I used to switch it up - and have it only "sync selected apps" .... I want to make sure at least the ones I paid for are downloaded. So many apps, I dont remember the name of all of them...I know I can go into my purchase history and look at every invoice individually and go redownload.

iTunes (version 9.2.0.61) opened a pop up letting me know there is a new software version for my phone. I clicked the button to upgrade, the process began but soon after mentioned "there are paid for applications on the phone which have not been synced to iTunes". You should sync these prior to downloading the new software. (The application of course doesn't just give you a button to do it so instead I go into iTunes click on the icon for my phone once its attached, then go to the applications tab and synced the applications.) However, after the "sync" some of my applications are not on my Phone anymore, but are listed in iTunes. (I realize now that there is a drop down in the "File" menu of iTunes which I think I should have used that says "Transfer Purchases from iPhone", right?)Well, that may be true. However, to move the applications from iTunes, I tried unchecking the box in iTunes that says "Sync Apps" in the "Apps" tab. This deleted the applications AND THE DATA from my phone. I had important data in two key applications.SO, my question I believe is:I noticed that during the process in the iTunes notification bar at the top during the sync process it said "Backing up my iPhone". Therefore, is there a way to retrieve the data that was in the applications and get them back onto my iPhone? Information: Windows 7

I synced my phone to the new iOS 4 software today and I lost all of my contacts, my text messages, and my notes. However, I kept all of the pictures that are on my phone and not on my computer. During the sync I had an error pop up and it made me restart the sync. I haven't actually backed up my phone for over a year. I don't have mobile me, and I don't keep my all of my contacts in an email application. What's weird is I kept my favorites list for my contacts; well I kept their numbers but lost the names.Is there some hidden cache or something that still has my contacts on it? I also have tried using a backup, because when I click on it, it shows the sync from when I updated my phone to iOS 4.
