I have recently tried to clean up my computer (regular pc, not mac) and in that attempt I moved all my music files to an external drive and then deleted the entire "music" folder from my computer. This somehow resulted in the "itunes library" disappearing and somehow I ended up with no music at all! I now have no music files - but the music still remains on my iPhone (I have not synchronized it in fear of losing all my music)Is there any way to "copy" the files from my iPhone to my computer and thereby be able to add/remove some songs. At the moment I cannot add new music to my iPhone because if I synchronize everything ells will disappear. What have I done wrong and do I have any options other than keep it as it is (and never update my music) or synchronize it and lose all my music (1500 songs).
May I know whether it is possible to transfer my songs out of my iPhone music library to my computer or my new iTunes? The music files which i lost were mostly on soft copy. Is it also possible to sync my iPhone to a new empty iTunes without losing my music files?
My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.
I've been looking for help with this for weeks now and i can't find a bit of it anywhere. I wanted to put music on my phone so i went out and bought a micro sd card and tried to load music onto it using a usb to connect to my phone. I've tried literally just about everything. I switched over to USB Mass Storage mode and created a music folder and etc, etc,. But even after i put a couple of songs on the thing my phone still says there's nothing there. I also tried doing the Nokia Ovi Suite thing and apparently my phone model isn't compatible with it. I'm completely surprised by the lack of support from the manufacturing website.
The hard drive in my old computer is totally fried, and my iphone is the only place my music is backed up. Is there a way to get my music from my iphone to my new computer?
How do I transfer my music from my computer to my iphone 4? the music is in a folder on my computer and i cant figure out how to transfer it to my phone, I connected my phone to my computer and nothing happened. They told me at the store I would be able to do this.
using iTunes, you can only use one computer to sync things such as music. The computer that I was previously using with syncing died on me and now that I am on a new one it says that I have to erase everything on my iPhone just to put one mixtape on it which is complete BS. So I ask you Apple, iTunes support, or whoever, why?
I am trying to upload music from a second computer onto my iphone. It worked for the first computer, but is not letting me put music from the second computer. How do i get it to work?
I have always synced my iphone to my husband's PC since that has always been our music storage machine, but would like to sync to my macbook. I've set up itunes Match on both machines and downloaded our music to my mac - mostly itunes purchased or uploaded from CD. I hit sync and agreed to have it wipe the contents from the other computer and sync with my mac. When I do, it only copies about 100 of 1000 songs, saying it couldn't copy the others. It referred me back to itunes to find out the issue, but I couldn't find any explanation in my itunes for the problem. (The missing songs show up greyed out in the playlists on my phone). When I'm trying to set up playlists for the fitness classes.
I want to add music to my iphone4 from a computer that is not on my home network without losing the music that is already on the phone. When I try sto sync the existing music wil be wiped. I live in two countries and want to be able to add music stored on both computers.
So u have an iphone 4 and the most recent iOS. Except for the problem is if I buy music on my phone, I can't make the music go on my computer (mac book pro)
I recently lost my computer to a harddisk failure. Now when I plug my iPhone to my new computer, all the songs are greyed out in iTunes and i'm not allowed to play them. As all my music was on my now broken computer I no longer have the music, so I can't just add it again. The music is still on my iPhone so is there some way I can get around this issue and let iTunes play my music again or maybe a way of transfering the music from my iPhone to my computer without using iTunes?
I have heaps of music from my old work computer on my phone. I want to sync to my computer at home now. How can I do this without losing the music and other data???
