IPhone :: Magnified Opening Screen, Phone Locked
I have been helping a friend set up a new iPhone 3GS. All went well but opened the phone to find the opening keypad screen magnified and locked. He was unable to unlock the phone because all the digits were not visible. I ran him though (by phone) on resetting the phone but it opened again in the same way. I then told him to restore from iTunes but, unfortunately, it is still like this. I have had three iPhones but have never encountered this problem and wondered if there is an easy solution. I suspect we have no choice but to reinstall the OS and start again.

My screen got magnified and now i can only only see a part of the actual screen. This just happened out of the blue. Tried switching off, tried the hard reset, tried syncing back to itunes (no issues with syncing), but can't get rid of the magnified screen. Information: iphone Windows XP

I hit my home button on my phone, and all of a sudden, the screen appears, but now the screen seems to be magnified. Meaning, all fonts, apps icons, everything, is blown up to about five to 10 times its normal size. I tried rebooting, I tried a restore, I tired turning on and off nothing works. IPhone :: During A Call, Screen Was Magnified
During a call, the screen was magnified many times over. Still is after I hard booted, tried the restore, hard booted again. No change. I only see 2 large icons at the bottom, the power off slide is two pages wide at the top as is the cancel slide at the bottom. Can receive call though loud & clear but can't get through any other function. This is far too sudden and unusual for a phone that has been working perfectly for a year. IPhone :: Screen Goes Blank After 2 Rings When Phone Is Locked
This might seem like a dumb question if this is how the phone is designed to work, but when I'm using the phone, and the screen is on, the answer/caller id screen stays on the entire time the phone is ringing (as I would definitely expect). However when the phone is locked, the slide to answer/caller id screen goes blank after 2 rings, but the phone continues to ring the final 3 rings (my ringtone is 'Old Phone'). So the only way to see who is calling or answer the phone if I don't get to it by the second ring, when the phone is locked, is to click the home button. So if that is how it is, then I suppose its just a minor annoyance, but if there is an option to change it, or if my phone isn't correctly handling incoming calls, I would appreciate finding that out. Information: iMac 3.06Ghz, uMacBook 2.4Ghz, iPhone 3G S 3.0 Mac OS X (10.5.7) 500GB Hard Disk, NVIDIA 8800GS, 4GB RAM

Samsung :: Locked Screen Can Interact With Phone
I have a Samsung Sync that i pulled out of the drawer today, i had plans to unlock it and use it on T-Mobile. When i pulled it out (with at&t sim still inside) the phone just keeps freezing at startup and restarting. It gets stuck in a continuous loop.When i put my T-Mobile sim in the phone, it will stay at the "Locked" screen and i can interact with the phone, but when i take the sim out and restart with no sim, it reboots the same as when the at&t sim is in the phone.

BB Bold :: 9900 Screen Won't Turn Off When Phone Is Locked?
I have had my Bold 9900 for less than 3 months and in the last week I have experienced the following issue: The screen stays lit up constantly, which is making the battery run out very quickly. When I press the lock button the screen turns off for about 5 seconds, then lights up again, and stays lit. I can't see anything in the Options menu that will fix it. As I say, the problem has only been occurring in the last week.

BB Bold 9700 :: Changing Locked Screen Setting On Phone
Does anyone know how to change the default setting for the locked screen? Right now when I press key lock, my wallpaper shows for a few seconds, but then it switches to the big clock. How to I get it to stay on my wallpaper and not show the clock? I just upgraded from My curve 8300 to the Bold 9700 and the only thing I hate about it is the big clock that shows up when I lock the screen.

Nokia :: 5800 Xm Screen Doesn't React When Unlock Phone After It Has Been Locked For A While
I'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button. All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working. It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?

Screen unlock pattern failed 20 times, phone is now locked pending google username and password, which I have enter hundreds of times with no success, I know the username and password is correct as I can log in via PC and view latest downloads on my phone etc. Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update" Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.

Just starting having this problem today.Texting with one person using iMessage (iphone to iphone) and every time they respond to my text, it doesn't appear on the open screen conversation.it appears as a new message from them. I'm having to text them and then close my conversation and then reopen the text message to see what they said. It's like having 20 people text you at the same time. Info: iPhone 4, iOS 5.1

A large number of the applications on my 16 GB iPhone 3G have begun to crash when I try to open them. At first I thought it was just those that used the camera, but now, although the photo ones are among the major offenders, there are others too. I have almost filled my apps quota but never had this issue before. I think I may have had one or two problematic apps over the past 9 months, but nothing like the number that are now refusing to open. Attempting to open these apps will show the app's opening screen and then just bring me back to the home screen.I'm not aware of having made any changes that might have caused the problem. I tried to remember the most recent apps I added and tried deleting them but it didn't help. I've shut down and restarted a few times and done a total reboot once or twice, but without success. Whenever I try to load an apps they just flash open for a few seconds and the screen returns to the apps page the app was on. This does not happen for the apps that came with the phone. Just the 30 or so that i've got from the app store.

My phone will be sitting there locked and the screen will randomly light up every couple of minutes or so and I cannot for the life of my figure out why? I never had this with my 3G and I'm pretty stumped. Any ideas? I have an iPhone 3G with version 3 of the OS. The phone is paired with a pair of Motorola H9-SD bluetooth headphones. While the screen is unlocked music playback is excellent. However, as soon as the screen locks itself the music playback suffers from terrible stutter. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Any suggestions how to fix?
