I gave my iphone to be updated to a 'friend' and now I am having problems in general, like lock downs during dialing and conversations.
I wanna do the best I can to first revert back the phone to original, possibly with its baseband, and then take the phone firmware to jailbreak, unlock use it.
its actually working with a different GSM in overseas, so I am assuming it is Unlocked however I am not sure if its Jailbroken,
my dream, mission is to get it back to best iphone 2g jailbroken baseband/firmware, that I would need your suggestions in terms of the best possible version
second I would need somehow what to do from scratch to take this phone all the way back from 3.1.3 to that suggested version.
really here to learn and understand your suggestions, be aware that I haven't yet connected my iphone to any itunes. I am worried something bad is gonna happen if I do something like that without knowing the extend of it.
My iphone has stopped identifying modem firmware and IME number and has stopped identifying my SIM. It keeps on saying searching even if the SIM is inserted. Since I live in Nepal the authorized reseller said that it should be exchanged in the place where there is an apple store . And my 1 year warranty has also not finished. So what should i do now there is no apple store in my country.
I accidently updated to modem firm ware 04.12.01 and know my gevey sim is not working ?, I accidentally updated to modem firm ware 04.12.01 and know my gevey sim is not working?
I have a Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I just switch to Rogers! Would it be *better if I flash the rogers firmware on the phone, or leave it with the bell firmware? The rogers one is .351 and the bell one is .423 ...I guess I was wondering if the rogers would be better since i'm on the Rogers network
I've flashed my X10 mini(E10a) with a E10i firmware, and I've tried to get back with the E10a but the PC Companion says that its not possible to update, and SEUS says that I have the newer version.-
So i just bought an iPhone 3G at the store and would like to use it with a different carrier, it has firmware 3.1.3 on it and i have iTunes 9.1 on my mac, I've been looking all over for an answer but everyone just seems to be talking about the iPhone 3GS or the iPad. i really don't wanna break it or do anything before I'm sure it'll work. I've had a jailbroken iPhone (first generation) before and unlocked it many times, but as it broke a few months ago I'm totally not up to date now.
I've searched the downloads for iphone 4 firmware upgrades. Anyone have info on where to download the latest firmware, and if it's generally as easy as a software upgrade.
I have a 3GS firmware version 3.1 (7C144) that I want to update to firmware version 3.1.2. Is this possible? I don't want to update to 3.1.3 because I want to be able to keep my unlock. The only reason I would like to update is because there are a few apps that require 3.1.2 to work. Should I just leave it and say forget it for now? Or is it possible to update just to 3.1.2?
I have an iPhone 3G which is currently jailbroken using QuickPWN. My firmware is version 2.2.1 with Modem Firmware 02.30.03.
Without the more recent 3.x.x firmware I cannot use some of the newer Apps which require this update. With all of the banter about preserving baseband and future unlock & jailbreaking what is the best way to update my firmware and re-jailbreak the phone?
I got 3 Gs with firmware 3.0.1 , for some reason it went in to recovery mode ,and i m trying to restore to 3.0.1 or 3.1.2 but in both cases it gave me error 3194.
I have 3.01 on my 3G now. I can't use most (or any that I've tried) jailbreaking software because most if not all are for 3.1.2. I have 3.1.2 IPSW downloaded, but when I go to update the firmware in itunes, it only allows me to upgrade to 4.0.1.
