I just purchase an iPhone 4s and it seems like some dirt has accumulated in the ear piece. I was wondering if I could use the edge of a paper or a toothpick to pry some of the bits out of it. I just wanted to make sure that the metal backing was durable enough to withstand me prodding at it without getting damaged.
This isn't the most critical issue on the Internet but I've tried just about everything on the market by way of inside the ear earbud holders (i.e. Breppies, foam covers, Lobies, etc). So far everything has been a waste of money. I can't get the things to stay in my ears. And I'm not just talking about running during a workout...they won't even stay in my ears while strolling down the street with the dog!. The closest thing so far has been adapters that clip on to the earbuds with a little plastic piece that accepts a little silicone cap that came in several sizes (see below). I tried them all, from small to large, and nothing works.
Info: iPhone 3GS, iOS 5, Main syncing computer is MacBook
I got an iPhone 3G yesterday (Saturday) and it seems like the left earbud speaker on the included set of headphones does not work.Has anyone else had this problem? I know it's a problem with the headphones, and not the iPhone itself because I've tried two other headphones (from an ipod) and they play in stereo.I've got an appointment at the Genius Bar tomorrow afternoon... hopefully they'll just be able to give me working set!
I dock my Razr HD (JB 4.1.2) to my genuine Motorola car dock, my music will automatically route to the car speakers, which is what I want but for incoming and outgoing calls the audio goes to the phones external speaker by default. I can touch the speaker button that then routes the audio to the car speakers but how do I make call audio route to the car speakers by default and not the phones external speaker?
A member on a racing site I read did some testing last weekend with his iPhone in his racecar and found that it works much better than any radio he has tried so far. The phone is used to communicate with his pit crew while he is on track. He just taped the earbuds to his hears so the helmet wouldn't rip them off and stuffed the phone in his fire suit. The only problem he has is that if the call gets dropped he can't answer the incoming call with his gloves on and can't reach the earbud button due to his head and neck restraint.
Does anyone know a way to add a big external button to the earbuds? I was thinking something easy enough to hit with driving gloves on that he could plug his earbuds into then plug into his phone. Any ideas? I've tried Googling for any info on how the earbud button actually works but can't seem to find anything.
When I use my earbuds OR an alternative headphone, even with the volume indicator so low that there are NO bars showing, the volume is loud enough as to be uncomfortable--I have to pull the earbud loose from my ears or the headphones away from my ears. I do admittedly have very good hearing, but this still seems excessive. (It is possible to have NO sound but the first step up after no sound is fairly dramatic.)
Is there some other master volume control that I am unaware of? Would it help to get another set of earbuds with more sensitive volume controls than the ones that came with the phone? I am mostly using Pandora, although I have occasionally used the media player.
I've looked everywhere for replacement silicone earbud covers. I called BB, I called bbrepairshop.com. I refuse to buy an entire new headset and mic for $29.95. Where can I buy black rubber covers? (foam ones itch)
I today got a iPhone white 3gs 16gb model on orange contract.I did not really notice till just now as i really did not use the speakers much. just synced some music over to it.At the bottom of the phone there is 2 speaker grills right?
only one seems to work, i tried each one zeroing them out by holding my finger over each speaker to test and one does not even work. Are there both speakers....or is there only one speaker anyway? it sounds really muffled at a certain volume
i recently erased my iphone 3gs to factory settings (due to some issues), and i restored/upgraded to OS4.It has the old bootrom. How do i jailbreak this thing now? From what i read, 3gs models can be jailbroken if they have already been jailbroken from a previous version. Is this correct?
I got my first BB on Monday..Wednesday i had to exchange because the screen went crazy. Today as i went to listen to music from my Storm, the audio only came out the right earbud. And after one song...basically stop.. no audio....
I Never owned a white iphone, How hard is it to keep it clean under normal use?Folks that have owned white iphones in the past, How hard is it to keep it clean under normal use? Would you get it in white again?
Why can I not clean up my iPhone?I have a songs and movies that I no longer want to carry with me. To delete them I have to somehow remember what I want gone, go to iTunes delete them and resync. Then there are apps Calculator, Stocks, Notes, Weather.Apple thinks they are great and was me to keep them, no way at all to delete them. Even though I purchased apps that do much more when I scroll through the apps I need to see the useless Apples' Apps.
