I am using an iphone4s but the phone only syncs when I install an update on my itunes. Without a fresh update of itunes, I cannot see the device in the itunes panel. Could there be a software conflict or settings?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently updated iTunes. The update went smoothly, but immediately after the update iTunes no longer shows my iPhone4. The diagnostics show that everything is okay with exception of the no iPhone connected error. I've run through all of the Apple helps but nothing has fixed the problem. The same problem occurs on other user profiles on the same computer. The computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Windows 7 shows the iPhone and I can access it as a camera or drive. I've re-installed the phone USB driver but still no go. I can plug my phone into another computer and the sync works fine.

I have tried syncing my phone to my computer before but it deleted any song and playlist that wasn't in the iTunes on my computer. I sometimes will buy a song on my phone and I don't want to have to look up every song I have bought on my phone to go through and download it on my computer. Itunes keeps locking up and giving me the error message "itunes was unable to load sync services" if I wait it will start working until I plug in my Iphone then it locks up for a while, once it starts working I try to sync my phone and that just keeps running ALL DAY! never finishes. This just started after the last Itunes update. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Itunes several times. Is it a Vista problem with Itunes? Should I upgrade to 7? Is there a fix? I purchase infinity blade 2 app for my iPhone 4 and do lots of in app purchase up to USD 38.73. Now I try iCloud backup for my new iPhone 4S 64GB Black unit but the iCloud backup is workless because it's says no backup available and ask me to use it as a new iPhone. Then I try iTunes Backup. It backup every single photo, apps, and device settings. But it doesn't sync my infinity blade 2 app. I try app sync up to ten times but the results are same and that is infinity blade 2 app failed to install. Now I'm so worried and sad because I scare I will loss all infinity blade 2 data and my in app purchase up to USD 38.73 it's a huge waste.
