IPhone :: Can Silence Tone For Outgoing SMS?
I got an iPhone 3G about 10 months ago and recently had it replaced due to some issues. Some of the same issues were continuing to occur so I had my phone looked at again by a genius at the apple store; he advised me to restore my phone and set it up as a new phone rather than from a backup. Until now when I sent a text message there was no tone but now there is, I've tried finding something in settings to prevent this because the swooshing noise is very annoying but can't find anything. If anybody knows how to turn off this tone it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out.

switch does not unsilence it and when i go into ringtones to play a ringtone it will play a ringtone but when i get a txt or call it vibrates? also when i use the switch to unsilence the bell dont come up? Info: iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.7, its actually iOS 4.2.6

IPhone :: Why Won't The 4s Silence
I just bought my iPhone 4S, it is fresh out of the box but my ring/silence switch will not silence the phone. I still hear the ring tones and the text tones when I flip it either way. Is my phone broken already? Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1

IPhone :: 3GS - Music Track Skipping And Playing Silence
Some music tracks play sections of silence, others are skipping randomly like a scratched record. This happens when playing on the built-in speakers or on headphones. Tracks affected can be either CD imports or iTunes purchases. I have the latest iTunes update, I have iOS4, I have re-synched, restored the phone multiple times, checked my hard drive... What can be the cause of this? I am prepared to do whatever it takes to solve the problem but I have run out of ideas. The Genii Apple Store have no idea what's causing it. iPhone is proving not to be viable as a music player. I now have to carry my old iPod in addition to my iPhone if I want music. Information: 3GS iOS 4 Windows Vista

BB Bold 9700 :: Bug In Alerts - Different Tone Then Customized Alert Or Tone Plays
Has anyone else found that despite setting the alerts, that sometimes a different tone comes out of the 9700? I thought I was doing something wrong, but I don't think so. My phone randomly plays me an assortment "crickets", "sanguines", and "relaxed soars" me for no apparent reason even though I have a selected tone for my "normal" and have not selected cusomized ringtones or alerts for those incoming messages.

BB Bold 9000 :: Ring Tone List Keeps Showing Up Growing When Add A Custom Tone For A Contact
So below is what my ring tone list looks like in about the upper third of it... The two songs that appear to have their names shortened are Brown Eyed Girl and Yellow Submarine. I've double checked in media mode that these are renamed to exactly what they should be called and I can still see them with their correct file names down the list some. But for some reason this list keeps showing up and GROWING! It seems like every time I go to my profiles to change a ring tone or add a custom tone for a contact this list gets bigger. All of my ring tones are stored on my SD.

Nokia :: E71 Camera Tone - A Tone Frenzy Phone
First I find out I can't turn off the annoyingly loud welcome tone playing the nokia tune,now I find out that I can't turn off the camera tone, so everytime I use the camera I get a massivle loud camera noise, it's great (not) I can select camera tone 1 through 4 all loud and very "hey - check me out using a camera" all the other nokia phones I've had you can turn the camera noises off, but this phone is really starting to get on my nerves with the ammount of sound that can't be turned off and play at loud volumes. Am I missing something or can you not turn the camera tones off ?

This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email. And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.

HTC :: Sprint Mogul How To Silence?
I searched through here and the user guide for the answer to this question, so I figure I'm blind or stupid or a combination of the two.How do I make it so the phone is silent when any type of alert starts like a phone call, text, e-mail...etc?? I don't WANT it to vibrate either. I need perfect silence. The only thing I could think of doing is turning off the radio to the phone but then I wont know if I miss a call unless a voicemail is left.

Samsung Glaxay S II :: Way To Actually Silence It
Since my first post seemed to disappear, I am posting this a second time. I can silence my phone, turn the volume down, and select vibrate. I still get voice announcements loud and clear. How do I turn it off? Sometimes it is not desirable to hear "ONE NEW EMAIL" in church or at the office. No matter what preference I select to silence the phone, these voice alerts come through.

LG :: Env3 Vibrate More In Silence Mode?
My old phone used to vibrate 3 times when I recieved a text and it was in silence mode, the Env3 only once. I need to silence my phone at work, but am allowed to communicate via text with my wife and kids, but always miss the texts since the Env3 only vibrates one time. Any way to change it?
