I'm trying to put the Messages icon into the dock of the iphone. The problem is I can't find where the icon is to move it. I've looked in all my folders on all my pages, and can't find it. Right now the only way I can launch the app is by doing a search for "messages". But, that doesn't tell me where the icon is, it just launches the app. What can I do here?

Yes I am looking in "All Contacts" and not a group. And as you can imagine, those contacts don't sync to my iPad or Macbook Pro. The only thing that syncs my contacts on my phone is iCloud with my Apple ID that I use for store purchases. I have an @me from my mobileme days but the contacts sync is turned off for that. I've seen boards on other sites with people that have the same issue but I have yet to find any solutions. Any ideas?

Just getting used to new xperia z3 phone. Whilst in the middle of texting a contact of mine, i received notifications that new sms messages had arrived (I had previously emailed friends to text me their numbers). After I finished the text I was working on, I then went into the messaging folder to open and read my new messages but couldn't find any new messages? Not sure what happened but I was definitely notified that I had received 7 new SMS messages.

purchased a Bold 9700 on Vodafone and have found 2 little things that are bugging me because I can't find out what one of them is, or why the other happens!
1) I have a strange icon that I can't find a description of appearing next to 2 messages. It looked like a little phone symbol. It appears next to 2 of my conversations, in my SMS/MMS inbox and on he Blackberry Messenger inbox (as the conversations are via the PIN service). I have other conversations in my Blackberry Messenger inbox that appear with a little bubble with the blackberry logo inside, and messages in my SMS/MMS inbox that appear with the normal white speech bubble at the side. However, no matter what I do, these 2 conversations remain with the little Phone symbol next to them.....

I backed up my text messages to my SIM card in an attempt to make a text file from some text messages.
is this possible? if so, where would i find these messages?
My iPhone 4 was stolen in a bar in Boston last weekend, together with my jacket. I had Find My iPhone installed on it, but the phone has not come online since I lost it. I am just visiting the US; I bought the phone unlocked in Belgium and it had a UK simcard in it at the time of theft. Is there anything I can do to stop the thief from using it with his sim card? I have done some research and have found that I could ask my provider to blacklist the IMEI number. But what's the point of doing that in Belgium as it got stolen in the US and is probably still here... Can't I report my serial number to Apple and will that then stop the thief from using the phone when he syncs with iTunes?

When I send messages to an ordinary cell phone, they sometimes go through as photo messages even though I have not touched the camera icon next to the text window. When I intentionally send a photo message, my phone asks me if I want to take a new photo or use one from my camera roll. My sister uses an Android phone but when she receives a message from our sister-in-law who has an iPhone, it arrives broken down into multiple shorter messages. Apparently the same thing happened when our late brother would send a message to my sister from his iPhone. I don't use text messaging (in fact I have it totally disabled on my iPhone), so I've never experienced this.as to why this happens? My sister says it doesn't happen with messages sent from non-iOS phones.

About a week ago, my iPhone 5S started acting very strange. Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.
