IPhone :: Camera Shutter Not Opening After Updated To IOS 5.1
Apr 13, 2012
I own an iPhone 3GS and ever since I updated to iOS 5.1 I have been unable to access my camera, I can successfully view my photo's but not able to take new ones. I have tried fully restoring and resetting and the problem has remained the same.
the rear camera works fine, but when i select the front camera the shutter remains closed and never opens.
if i open the front camera frst, the rear doesnt open till i restart it i have restored, set up as new iphone and updated the sftware, but the front camera shutter doesnt open and remains closed, i have read online of others having this problem and some suggest changing the camera, which i got someone to do, yet the same fault remains
I am using iphone 3g with ios 4.2.1. When I open my camera the shutter dosen't open. I have tried from other camera app (Camera Plus). It say "AVFoundationErrorDomain error -11800." I have restored it three times. But the problem is still not solved.
I updated to iOS 5.1 on iphone 4s - when I try to open my camera from aps, it opens to a closed shutter and does not unlock. I've tried to reboot, restart everything, but camera will not work.
A month or so back my iPhone camera had something half blocking the lens. I was just wondering, is this the camera shutter? Or does the iPhone even have a shutter?
is there an app that lets you use the iPhone 4's volume button as a shutter button for the camera? I remember I had an app like this when my iPhone - was jaillbroken
two days ago i tried to launch my camera.app and the shutter wouldnt open. i tried hard resetting my iphone and resetting it from the settings>general>reset but it didnt help. i tried using an application from the appstore(camera+) but the screen was always black. today i updated to 5.1 and im still not able to get the shutter open.
i have tried everything as advised over the net. it seems that the last option for me it go to an apple store. but then again, i have been seeing this iphone 4 glitch topics as old as 2010. is mac doing something about it? iphone 4s is my first non sony ericsson phone (been using se since 2005) and with the product pull outs i have chosen iphone over samsung s2 and this is what i get. as much as possible i don't want to have my phone replaced. i bought my 4s last feb 19 and i can't believe this is happening!
has anyone been experiencing problems with their camera on the iphone 4s running ios 5.1? if you have and have found a solution, excluding having to send it back "home"
I have a IPhone 3G 8GB Black and the cmera wont work it gets stuck at the shutter i keep tapping on it doesnt work and athe speacker wont work and the IPhone displayes this message all the time "this accessory is not optimized for this iphone" i am sure it didnt get wet or some thing because i love my apple products and i dont expose them to harmful things.
My camera is not working, it just shows the shutter. I restored the phone to original and it did not help. I closed the app and did a soft and hard reset. What do I do?
I bought the US version of the iPhone 6 in Dubai (facetime isnt available in the local version), is that the reason why my camera shutter won't turn off at all? I tried resetting, mute, earphones in. Nothing.
Today my back facing camera stopped working. When I open the app the screen stays black and the shutter doesn't open. The front facing camera is working though. I've tried resetting the phone to factory settings. What else can I do?
