IPhone :: Auto Prefix Dialing / "1+area Code+number"
Is there a way to have the iPhone automatically add the Prefix 1 to all my contacts. I live in the city of Chicago and starting this Saturday we have to start using 11 digit dialing due to too many phone numbers and area codes in the city. even if you live in an area code you still have to dial 1 to place a local call.
I am trying to avoid editing all my phone contacts as I have way too many. I will need this to access all phone numbers, even out of state.
any ideas? Does International assist do this for US based phone calls?

IPhone :: How International Dialing Prefix
I have my contacts on my phone all stored with an international dialing prefix... when someone from within the country phones me, it doesn't recognise who it is because the call comes to the phone without the international dialing prefix, "(xx) xxx xxxx". When I receive an SMS however, it DOES come with the international dialing prefix, "+xx (xx) xxx xxxx".
So, there is no win win situation here, as I can't have the numbers on my phone stored using both the + prefix and without it just to make sure the phone recognises it in the PHONE application as well as the TEXT/SMS application?
I think this really is a rather ridiculous fault for such an incredible phone.I have posted two other questions on this forum for which I haven't really gotten a solution either, which is a bit discouraging cause I sit down and think about how to explain the problem properly but at the same time wonder whether it's actually going to help anything... so I considered not writing anything about this at all, but realized that where this problem is the most irritating is when you receive a missed call, because I don't know who it is from!

BB Curve 83xx :: Bugged Device - Unable To Load Contacts From Sim Card / Area Code Add 3 More Digital Before Calling Number
I bought this phone unlocked from AT&T on ebay. The first problem that happened was that it didn't load my contacts from my SIM card. I went through the setup wizard and everything and even after I would go back and try to get it to load again but no luck. I tried removing battery and sim card but still nothing, so I had to add all contacts manually which took forever. Is that a bad sign?
Second problem was that when I put a 1 before the area code (ex: 1-780-123-1234) and then went to dial the number on my contact list it would add 3 more numbers and make it like 863-780-123-1234 which I found very weird. I have since deleted all 1's at the beginning of my phone numbers on all my contact list and there doesn't seem to be a problem with it now. I know friends that have transferred to blackberry and have the 1 at the beginning though.. Again, should this be happening?
My third problem I just encountered was when I was going to give Rogers a call to change to a data plan. I dialed their usual number with and without the 1 and it said my call could not be complete. But when I put *611 and then 888-etc it finally dialed the number. I remember on my old phone I didn't have to do this.

BB Tour 9630 :: Prompts For Country Code When Dialing Any Number
One of my users has had this issue on her phone for almost a year now. It happened on her original and replacement Storms, they then swapped her to a Tour. Since then, we've had the same issue, through multiple Tours.The most recent replacement Tour was received last week, and this time I did not allow her to synch her contacts and information back to the new phone- she had to manually input everything.Now she has the same problem again. On a brand new device, from the box. This problem comes and goes, though it can always be fixed with a battery pull for a random amount of time till it feels like it wants to do it again.I have been through every possible bit of troubleshooting you can imagine with Verizon (services books, HRT, wipe device, etc etc). They have even removed everything about her phone from their system and re-entered it.

Cseries :: Can C3 Add A Standard Prefix To Each Number Dialed
We have a number of company Series 40 Nokia phones, such as thje C3, which we'd like to integrate with our company's PBX. We'd like to define a standard prefix (say 1111) which would be added to the beginning of each number dialed (be it from Contacts or a manually entered number). E.g. I choose to call "Mark" from my Contacts on the C3 whose stored cell number is 6944333333; the actual number that will be called will be 11116944333333.

BB Curve 8300 :: Voice Dialing And Area Codes
Does anyone know how I get voice dialing to allow me to include the area code when I ask it to call a phone number? It currently only allows me to specify 7 digits instead of 10. I have set up my area code via the Call Log options and the number of digits for National numbers is set to 10.
If you cannot configure it to allow 10 digits, is there any way to configure it to automatically include a default area code when you specify a phone number by saying the digits?

Nokia :: 5530 Area Code / Cell Info On Home Screen?
My last experience of Nokias was when they were black and white :-) But back then you could persuade them to show the Area Code on the home screen underneath the network operator name. (This is in the UK. In other countries other location info / ID info from the cell could be shown.)My previous SE phones also do this. But I can't find a way of making the area code appear on the 5530 desktop?

IPhone :: Jawbone 2 And Previous Number Dialing From Headset
I use ATT's VoiceDial and like it a lot. To engage it, I have to dial *08 or *121. I just talked with Jawbone Customer Support. They claim that pushing the headset button 3 times will dial the last number dialed on the 3G.
Can anyone verify this BEFORE I buy the Jawbone2 with my 3G when it arrives this week? Do any other BT headsets implement the "push a button to get the last number dialed" protocol?

IPhone :: Dialing Phone Number In Calendar Entry
I give myself reminders in my calendar to call this person or that business; however, I am surprised that when I enter the phone number in the calendar event (I happen to sync up with Google Calendar) I cannot tap on said phone number to begin a phone call. Is this truly a limitation or am I doing something wrong?

IPhone :: Crashes While Dialing Or Receiving Call From Specific Number?
This problem i've had for a while. Basically when i receive or make a call to a specific number ie (0191420****) my iPhone becomes unresponsive with the green incall bar across the top when i make the call and a complete crash when receiving it, although it logs the call as a missed call when the iPhone is restarted. I cant end the call until i restart the phone.
Originally the number was a business contact in my address book contacts, then, when i started getting the problem, I deleted the contact thinking it was corrupt. It didn't make any difference.
All my contacts are synced over mobileme and this contact was deleted over all my devices, powerbook, iPhone and iMac.
But still when i dial or receive this number and only this number the phone locks up straight away.
It started on my iPhone 3G then when i synced my new iPhone 3GS the problems continued even over a complete restore. I'm thinking its something to do with the contacts list file but don't know how to correct it with out deleting all my contacts which isn't an option.
I've searched all the forums but nothing is mentioned about this specific issue.

HTC :: Touch Won't Stop Auto Re-dialing
i have a problem with my cdma htc touch. i have rom / radio versions 3.42.50 / 3.09.66.1. Which are from the latest official bell rom release. Here is my problem; I use a mini usb to 3.5 mm stereo headphone adapter. When i play music through it though, the touch automatically brings up the dialing screen, and begins redialing the last number dialed. This happens quite often, but randomly. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?

Motorola :: V750 - Auto-Dialing At Random
Phone has recently started acting very weird. Auto dialing numbers in recently called list seemingly at random, at the same time the earpice sp[eaker isn't working and the speakerphone button won't work. If you press End, it just dial again. Sometimes it won't even poser off and the only way yo stop it is remove the battery. Hardware version is 1813, software version is CHARL1_01.30.19P, warranty date is 6-29-2011 (of course, just out of warranty). What the heck is going own? Is the software corrupted? Since it says the software is at the current level, it won't auto-update.

BB Pearl :: Auto-lookup Of Phone Numbers While Dialing?
Is there a setting somewhere that enables, while dialing, a look up of phone numbers instead of names while dialing? Like now, as I dial, it looks up and lists contact names from the address book based on the letters (that correspond to the numbers) I'm dialing. Can this be changed to look up phone numbers instead? For instance, if I dial 555 I'd like it to pull a list of phone numbers that begin with 555 (from my address book) then I could roll down and highlight the one I want to call.

Motorola :: Z6c How To Remove Plus Code Dialing?
I am using a Motorola Z6c World Edition Phone and while I am in China I use their Network Sim Card that I get from my company. The problem is that I can receive calls fine but I cannot call anyone locally. It keeps automatically adding a "plus code" (ex. +00) before the number that I am dialing then I get a chinese message that says the call cannot be completed as dialed. There is no option to turn off the plus code dialing. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows of a work around. The cost of using their network is extremely cheap, but I do not want to buy a phone there.

BB (RIM) :: 8100 Turn Off Country Code Dialing From Phonebook
my sister has a blackberry 8100 pearl originally from orange UK, she got it unlocked and it works fine but theres a problem when she dials any contact from the phonebook, it always dials +44 for the England country code before any number, i tried looking through the phone to turn it off but all i could find online was something about Smart Dial which i dont think the 8100 has. anyone have any idea how to fix this? btw the phone was only unlocked and not unbranded or flashed to any other firmware, its running 4.5 right now and its on the Fido network in toronto. all calls go through if dialed manually but when dialed through the phone book it adds the +44.
