I am not really thrilled with iTunes.Can someone suggest an alternative to package for managing music and podcasts on an iPhone.

Nokia :: 5800 Ordering In Podcasts Within Music Player - Podcasts
Within the music player on a 5800XM, how can I control the ordering of podcasts when using the Podcasts->By Title search option with the music player...? What this currently does is orders these is the newest first order, where as if you a listening to a radio drama (like me, who listens to the Archers approx twice a week) you want these to be in the oldest first order!

I just found this and it seems pretty cool. you can use this to sync your iPhone/iPod and not worry about updating your device. you get a 15 day trial but it will cost $24.99 to purchase. it seems you can do alot more with this and its easier than iTunes.

IPhone :: Video Podcasts In 4 / IOS 4 - Podcasts Playlist Just Skips Video Podcasts And Automatically Goes To Next Audio Podcast
I download lots of podcasts, audio and video, and I have them all put in an intelligent playlist named "new episodes" which I synchronise with my iPhone. This way I could listen to all new podcasts from different sources in a row, without having to keep fiddling with the device to move from one list to another. Up to now this worked perfectly. I keep the iPod app in the background, which was possible even before iOS 4, and listen to the wit and wisdom of the world. That meant I listened to video podcasts as audio only, of course, but that was ok, because most were talk shows anyway; I could perfectly follow without having to watch. The iPhone 4 or the iOS 4 broke this system. Now my podcasts playlist just skips video podcasts and automatically goes to the next audio podcast. There is no way you could get the **** thing to play that video podcast except by going to the iPod app and manually selecting it from the list. I don't know if this is a bug or a new "feature", but it is annoying. I hope it is a bug, I find that easier to accept than the idea that Apple just decided you shouldn't listen to video podcasts they way you want to listen them. IPhone :: ITunes 8 / Error Transferring Podcasts
When I was prompted to install iTunes 8, I downloaded and installed.During the installation, an error box popped up saying that the iPod service wouldn't be installed.Of course, once installed, the iPhone is no longer recognized by iTunes,although it's picked up fine by Windows as a "camera".Wanting to transfer my latest podcasts to my iPhone, I installed iTunes 8 it to my work computer and had the same issue.It says that the iPod service is running, but iTunes won't recognize it. And of course, iTunes won't let me roll back to an older version. I've been searching for a resolution to this issue. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling, and no luck. I've found other mentions of this issue, but there never seems to be a resolution for it. Information: Dell Windows Vista

IPhone :: 3G - ITunes Syncing Played Podcasts
I use iTunes to subscribe to a number of podcasts and have selected some of them for syncing to my iPhone 3G. I selected the option to sync unplayed episodes. But all the episodes are syn. This takes up quite a bit of storage space. Is anyone else seeing this problem? I have seen reports of the played flags not being replicated from the iPhone back to iTunes, but this occurs for episodes the iTunes shows as having been played.

IPhone :: Podcasts On Phone Not Showing On In ITunes
I have a ton of podcasts on my iPhone, and they all play just fine. However, when I plug my iPhone into my Macbook Pro and I look in the Podcasts list in the iPhone section, there's nothing there whatsoever. Which means I'm not able to delete them. Is there any way of remedying this without having to restore the whole phone? Information: iPhone 3GS iOS 4

IPhone :: UnSynchable Podcasts - How To FORCE Podcasts To Synch Into Phone
I subscribe to a number of podcasts which update regularly. I manually synch new ones into my phone (by d&d in itunes). http://This is not relevant -- the problem that I'm about to describe happens whether I'm manually or auto-synching. I've tried both. Just this week I started rcving podcasts that refuse to synch to my phone. I've tried unsubscribing and then resubscribing, and re-donwloading these podcasts, which are under several subscriptions. It also not ALL my podcasts. None of them would synch initially, then I did the unsubscribe/resub/redown and SOME of them then would synch up, but some still will not. It seems like that iPhone believes that these have already been listened to, and refuses to re-import them. Any suggestions on how to FORCE podcasts to synch into the iPhone? I'm on the latest iTunes (I just updated it to try to fix this problem -- no love.) Information: MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.2) 16Gig iPhone 3G latest iTunes (just updated -- 8.x?)

IPhone :: Home Sharing Shows Music - Podcasts - Videos But Not Applications
I've been successful in sharing music, etc. with my husband. We can both see everything besides applications. I only see 4 of his and he can't see any of mine. I know that we each have quite a few different apps so they should show when I choose "Items not in my library", and they don't show up when I choose "All Items". We are both authorized on both computers and both have iTunes set to "Share entire library".

Nokia :: N97 Music Player - Alternative
Is there a better / alternative music player available anywhere for the N97? The default player is poor in my opinion - the player I had on my 2 year old Sony W960 was way ahead of this Nokia product. Simple things like being able to hide artists associated with compilations seems to be missing.

Im a proud new owner of the 5310 Nokia phone. I just need some advice ( no luck on google). I want to be able to plug my phone into my Macbook and have it sync my music. I don't want to manually add to the phone all the recent music I have downloaded. Any suggestions? which software should I use?

The Nokia Music Player that came with my E52 is not good, are there any (free!) alternatives? How about an iTunes for S60.I have problems with m4a files, and podcasts not being added (or not visible) to Music library (even if the file is there, and I can play it from the folder).

im new here but i've had quite a few SE to my name, mainly Walkman Phones.Now i got my W995 just yesterday and been trying to use the useless MediaGo to transfer music to my phone.Everything works fine until i try to send every song i have on my pc, thats when MediaGo craps itself and starts adding and removing songs or at least it seems.So im wondering if theres any other program i can use for it apart from media manager.Also when i rip my cd's into MediaGo and then to the phone it doesnt work, when i try to play them it just says failed.Been getting quite annoyed at it

Nokia :: 5730 Searching For Music And Podcasts
I got a new, shiny Nokia 5730 XM two days ago and there have been no other problems with it other than the Music Player. Everytime i go on the music player, it automatically searches for Music and Podcasts. It searches for so long (10 mins) that I go and hit the red 'end call' button to end the app with it still in the background. And when I go back to the music player, it freezes.

I am once again looking to my fellow crackberry members to help me with a question. I have looked online and here, and am not finding a clear definate answer. I am wondering what program if any (if a program is needed) will play podcasts from my iTunes library on my storm, and for that matter my fiance's new Tour. What I am wondering is if I can download the podcast through iTunes and then transfer it to my Storm, and the Tour and listen to them.

I have downloaded some music from iTunes on my iPhone but when i sync my iPhone it is not adding this downloaded music to my main iTunes library (on the laptop). If i select to sync the music it says that it will remove the music from my iPhone and replace with what is in the library (laptop). I had no choice but to wipe out my hard drive since my computer ewnt away for repair. I just assumed that the computer would puick up my playlists from my iphone. However its not the case. i was afraid to sync my phone because i would loose my purchases. i did find out all i add to do to get the applications and purchased items was to transfer purchased items from the phone. However, how do i get my music from the iphone to the itunes library. also, i'm afraid to sync because it wants to give me an update to the 2.2.1 version which i'm positive i had updated to my phone when i got it so wont it effect my phone to put this software or update on again? also one last question. if i sync will it get rid of my contacts and calenders?
