IPhone :: After Updated To IOS 5.1, Cant Edit Contacts Anymore
Apr 28, 2012
I have a iPhone 4, and I updated to IOS 5.1 a week ago, and after that I cant edit my contacts! I tried to install it again, twice, but it wont work! What to do?
So for some reason it won't let me add or edit contacts. I've read on different discussion you can go to iCloud and turn off contact but when I do that it takes me back to the home screen.
I have gone through the troubleshooting guide for editing contacts. The problem is when I go into contact, then select the contact, and there is no edit button nor ringtone select.
i just inherited an iphone 3. when i got it i updated the software, but after the update it wont let me add, view, or edit my contacts. i was going to restore it but it says the contacts are being synced over the air so they wont save to my computer. im afraid if i restore it i will lose all my contacts. is there any way i can stop the over the air syncing? i already turned the wifi syncing off. i just want to make sure i dont lose my contacts. they are saved to my sim card but i cant import the contacts because it also wont let me view the mail, contacts part under settings.
How can I edit my contacts? And I don't really used my phone and its automatically add a contacts and email adds.. I dont know why that happen..i just turn my phone off and this is happen..
I am not able to add any new contacts on my BB curver 8900. It started this problem since two weeks. I tried removing the battery and all but still the issues is not solved. Also i think the phone got little slow.My BB Pin is 21921334.I am struggling now with my bb. i dont wanna loose it because i am so attached to my bb.I think there are only about 300contacts saved on the phone.
can't addeditsavedelete contacts. Once I'm editing info in a contact as soon as I done it's like nothing happened. No special event I can point that caused this.Tried (by order):Turn off and on againHard resetBackup and restore using iTunesAll three didn't help resolving. GeariPhone 4 16GBOS 5.0.1 * I've also read about the switching on and off contacts sync on iCloud and other e-mail accounts such as Exchange or Gmail off for contacts sync - irrelevant in my case.
I do not have an 'edit' button in the top right hand corner when looking at my contacts list therefore am unable to update numbers or delete contacts- I re-booted my phone but that didn't work!
Everytime I edit a contact it creates a duplicate of the contact. Then when I go to delete the duplicate contact it occaisionally deletes both of them.
after updates to ios 5.1.1...i can't add or edit my contacts and also can't take a photo at my contact lists. The '+' icon is suddenly disappear from my screen.
I updated through my phone not itunes to 5.1 everything worked and is fine except it deleted all my contacts in my contact list. The weird thing is that in my txts the names are there and if you hit contacts at the top of the txt it shows all the info of the contact like id be looking at it in my contact list.

Updated my iphone last night and lost 800 of my phone numbers. How can I retrieve my lost contacts. I back up my computer with carbonite and tried to put the folder back into itunes but when I resync they did not show up.
I have updated to os 5 today. Took all the precautions beforehand pressing sync and backing up etc. After the update I have lost all my contacts and apps and how they were arranged on the home screen. Stangely, I still have all my text messages. I'm not bothered about my apps or music they can be purchased again but is there any way of getting my contacts back? I have spent 3+ hours trying many of the options that other have used after a google search but they don't work.
I updated my I Phone 4 to the os 5.1.1 but lost all of my contacts. I believe it should still be stored in my laptop Apple file but don't know how to restore. I only see the restore option to the factory settings. I have never used the I Cloud.
Updated and backed up - everything else is as it should be on my phone but the contacts are just gone. I can't even figure out where to look for them on the computer either - or did they take off to the cloud never to be seen again? Don't know what to do, this is my only contact list!
