IPhone :: 4s Will Not Allow Me To Send A Text To More Than 10 Contacts
Apr 23, 2012
I have just upgraded from a 3gs and used to regularly send a single text to 16 people. Now when I try and do this I hit "send" and nothing happens. When I compose a new message I can only add 10 recipients and then no more. I've downloaded the app Groups and can send a group text from there, but when anyone replies to my text it gets sent to everyone in the group. I just want to text 16 or so people and have them reply to me only. I organise a weekly game of football. There's no need for everyone's texts to go to everyone. It appears that the technology has gone backwards.
I am trying to send a mass text to my daughters softball team. It appears the phone won't let me add more than 10 contacts. On my 3GS it allowed me to set the whole team up. I have looked on line for an answer and only saw options for syncing it with my computer. Would like to do this with hooking to my computer.
I did send someone I know a text (one) yet as confirmed on my bill a text was sent from my phone to that number as well as seven other people that I do not their names or numbers at the exact same time to the minute. I found this out when a bunch of strangers started calling my phone asking for me by name... How could this have been sent to the other seven people? Did the one person HAVE to forward it to them? (I know he knows at least one of the receipts) Is there a way for someone to hack into my or their phone?
I'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
Why when I try to send a text to canada while vacationing in Greece, do I always get a message send failure message, but I can still receive messages from Canada.
So my N79 is refusing to let me send text messages on the grounds that "Text Message: Not enough memory to perform operation. Please delete some data first". So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory. Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..
My iPhone 4S will not send or receive text messages. I have tried resetting it as well as restoring it. The message sends almost fully and then states "Message Send Failure." Also, my iPhone will states "The connection to the server failed" when I try going online; however, I am connected to my wifi.
My iphone will not let me send text messages but i can do everything else from calling to reciving as well as accessing the internet. I am able to use another sim card in the phone and it work's perfectly. i do not know what else i can do, i have called apple and my service provider, i have reset my network settings and restored it on the ipod.

I am exchanging some messages with friends and family that live in Europe. The problem is, occassionaly, the iPhone will give up as sending as an iMessage and then send as a text. As a result, I am being charged for sending an international message, when I would rather just write an email or skype (if iMessage wasnt going to do its job). Is there anyway to set strictly iMessage to certain contacts?
When I went into iTunes last night, it wanted me to update to iOS 5.1.1. I performed the update, and I now can't send text messages. It also installed Cloud.
