IPhone :: 3G Battery Went Completely Dead And Now Wont Charge
Feb 22, 2009
So last night i noticed my battery went down real quick and eventually went to the dead battery screen so i plugged it in and i got the lighting bolt and left it to charge over night. So now i wake up and its still there so i switched chargers and still the same thing. Im assuming my battery is shot and ive only had the 3G for 2 weeks now, also im jail broken and it will not sync w my mac so i cant do a restore. Basically my question is am i doin something wrong and if not im guess in my warranty is void because of the j/b? I really pissed cause i had no intensions of getin a 3G but my OG fell outa my pocket and the screen shattered(the touch screen still works and its for sale )
My phone is completely dead and it won't charge. Thought it was the cable so I went and bought a new one. Still isn't charging. I've tried cleaning out the port, still nothing... I charged it the other day and it worked fine. Until it died, now it shows that lightning thing and the red battery flashing...
I tried to restore my phone while it was at 1%, and it just completely died. I haven't been able to charge it since 7:30pm, and now it's 3am, and it still hasn't come back on. It's plugged into the charger and it just comes up with the battery charging symbol thing? I don't know how to explain it, but I'm guessing my phone is completely dead now.
The strangest thing just happened to my phone. I use my iPhone a lot ... A LOT. So I purchased a car charger so that everytime I'm in the car (which is very often) I can put it on the charger so it can have some juice. If I'm not mistaken, there's no way to "over charge" the battery, so I assume that this is okay.
Anyhow, I went out tonight. I charged my phone in the car whenever possible. When I got home, my battery was basically at 100% ... the icon was completely full. I look at my phone a few minutes later, and the "low battery warning" prompt came up. So I rebooted my phone to see what was up. The battery was at 100% again ... then a few minutes later, the "low battery prompt" came up. Now it's sitting on the charger completely in the red, as if I haven't charged it all day. What's going on?
i have had my x10 for just over a year now and it has completely died, i cannot get it to charge atall. i have tried everythin, the red light flashes, then just stops. have taked the battery out and then popped it back in
My K800i is suddenly dead for no reason. It worked when I changed to my new K610i, but when I tried to switch it on again an hour later it was dead. Wont turn on, wont charge. The diode blinks when I connect a charger, data cable or try to turn it on. this is the only life sign.
My iphone 4 has suddenly stopped charging for some reason. I've had no signs of battery problems at all before this.
I've read that some people have managed to fix this problem by doing a hard reset, but my battery was dead before I tried charging it so I can't do this. (when I try I get the connect to power image) I've checked the phone for any signs of lint etc, and cant see anything obvious.
I've tried multiple cables and adapters and the usb slot on my macbook and none of these get any response at all. When I plug into a speaker dock I have got, I get the connect to power supply image on the screen.
The phone is 2 years old (almost to the day) seems they have made it last the exact length of my contract Was wanting to hold off upgrading till the next iphone comes out
My battery goes completely dead but ONLY after i switch it off for the night. It seems to drain away but is perfectly OK during the day. I bought a new (Blackberry) battery and it does the same thing. Is there ac software fix for this or is my phone (bought from a reputable used hone store) just useless?I was also told that the little dot just inside the phone by the charger is supposed o be gold in colour and of it has turned blue then it means that the phone has water damage?
Just wondering if I can charge my Storm 9530 if the battery is NOT fully dead or near dead...Does it lessen the battery life? With my Palm Treo I could dock it every night and it would not shorten the battery life. Is it ok to dock my Storm every night in bedside mode or will the constant charging hurt the battery life?
So my phones battery is acting a little strange. I'll turn it off at night with a full charge. And wake up to it in the morning to a completely drained battery.. Flashing the charge battery thing. This is the second time it has happened so I am getting a little worries.
Any ideas why it is doing it? Btw when I say turn off I do mean holding the sleep button for ten seconds and slsong to turn off. I am jailbroken
Obtained my Droid3 two weeks ago and I'm now finding that it will not charge.Long story short: I did not charge my device for 2 days straight, upon complete epletion of the battery's power I hooked it upto the wall charger and noticed that the screen turned on with the droid symbol and subsequently the charging icon. I left it to charge, and after a while when it was upto 15% I attempted to turn it on by pressing the power button (without holding it down), which caused the screen to go black and ceased the charging.ow whenever I try to charge the device via the wall charger, the white charging LED (between the microUSB and miniHDMI inputs) turns on occasionally and remains there for an hour, after which it goes off again. When I try to charge via the computer the same thing happens, except after 45min or so of charging, the device repeatedly connects and disconnects from the computer USB (the usb connection and disconnection sounds ping repeatedly until I unplug the device). This also happens when I try and turn on the device while charging via USB.
Normally after 45min of charging from the computer the device will turn on, with the Droid logo appearing and system activated. Now it will not turn on at all.I have tried removing the battery from the device for at least a min and then recharging, I've also tried removing and re-inserting the battery while the Droid3 is connected to the charger to no avail. To replicate the situation, I've left the battery without charging for a period of 48 hours, and then tried to charge it again via wall charger; same problem: the white LED turned on for about an hour and then went out. The device did not turn on this time. My suspiscions are on the battery..The phone is a great piece of hardware and I've grown to love it, yet I had honestly no idea it would be susceptible to such trivial conditions 3 weeks out of the box. I've ordered an extended battery just in case
This is a new battery and has the same problem that I was experiencing before purchasing the new battery. If I remove the battery and reboot the system, it will show a full to a 3/4 charge--but only for a minute or two, then it shows that the battery is dead again.
Hey guys, I don't know what to do. My Iphone is completely dead. I tried everything. It will not turn on at all. I even tried to put in restore mode, nutting the screen stays completely black. Is the phone bricked or something, it's just laying there motionless. The battery was full charged, it was on the cradle actually. Plugged it in the pc nutting. I even used a different usb cable from apple.
I was using my I phone 4 and it went completely dead, couldnt turn on or off completely black screen, lost the call. Hooked it back up to itunes when i got to work and obviously does not show up in itunes. This happened once before and it just rectified itself. But nothing is happening.
It happens quite often when I call, the receiver can hear me but I can't hear him/her and also sometimes the other way around(!). When I recall ..., most of the time the problem is over. Normally when I plug in the headset, it doesn't work at all ... whatever I try! With plugged in headset the iPhone keeps operating via the built in speakers and I can switch between handsfree and normal (the headset remains completely dead). Only after a complete restore the headset works one or two phone calls and then fails permanent. The connector is clean and can be completely plugged in.
My iphone 'died' and won't charge now - black screen is all I get. I don't even remember the battery being low, I just looked at my phone and it was dead. Anyone have this problem? The phone is only a few months old.
my phone was looping after I tried to change the wap setting with pageplus after I placed it on download mode and connected with lgnpst it died and it will not turn on. it will not charge the computer will not even detected it when connected. Is actually dead. anyone that can help please post any information. my warranty just expired so im out $400.00.
my iphone 5s died to the point where it turned off so i went to charge it and the only thing it did was show the sign to connect your charger. i thought my charger was broken so i went and bought a new one and when i went to plug the new one in my phone doesnt do anything and the screen stays completely black.
My N97's touchscreen stopped working completely a few days ago as I watched it gradually got less responsive throughout this week. First it would stop working for a minute and be fine for the rest of the day, and then it would suddenly stop working much more frequently and now it doesn't work AT ALL. The phone is WORTHLESS if the touch screen doesn't work, because there's no back button on the keypad and you can never select "No" if a question is asked. This is frustrating ecspecially since the phone is only 3 weeks old and I've taken good care of it. What's the matter here? What can I do? I removed the battery, restored to factory settings, did hard resets, updated the firmware...nothing is fixing the touchscreen!
I received my phone on the day of release and its been workign since. It went off last night after I forgot to charge it and now its completely dead. I have tried all the usual tricks and tips, reset etc... nothing is working. Vodafone are being a nightmare to try and deal with.
In my desparation to fix my blank screen issue (see http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1351726 if you're interested in reading), I tried reflashing my phone using the Alltel Monster file. After reflashing didn't work, I stupidly pulled out the cable during mid-flash when the screen briefly worked (which didn't fix things).
Now my phone isn't even recognized when I plug it into the USB port. The keypad lights up, but that's it. All the guides to 'unbrick your phone' (Mr Bucket101's Unbrick Kit, etc) seem to start with 'flash your phone with x...' flash/flex but I can't get to that point.
I have had my 9900 for a couple months now and just a couple of days ago it started freezing up, I had to remove the battery every time it would freeze. So one day it froze took out the battery put it back in and never turned on. No lights nothing I even tired a new battery completely dead. So I was told my motherboard could be gone and said to return it to rim because of the one year warranty.
so what happened was, I got my phone in the mail, I use it for a few hours with occasional texting and my friend calls me, and when I answer, the phone dies. I turn the phone on again to see the battery is dead and it dies again, and before it had 85% battery life left apparently. Now the phone is completely dead, when the charger is plugged in, the red light is on and solid (not flashing or anything), when it is plugged in the computer it is on and solid again, except the computer doesn't see its plugged in.
As the title describe very the issue, I have a plain dead Bold, no power, no red lights, no signs of anything, with battery or without it, connected to my PC or the wall charger the situation remains the same.
HI my 4 S doesn't take the charge any longer, and sometimes when I turn it off and plug it, it takes a little bit of charge but doesn't hold it long, and the phone get super hot. What should I do to fix that problem, I have donwload all the last version and the phone is only a few months old.
today my X10 black running on android 2.1 firmware suddenly dead. I was on a call and suddenly the touchscreen is not responding at all. I can not get it to silde to unlock or what so ever. I've tried take out the battery to turn it off and switch it back on. I've also tired to connect it with my computer with the sony software to repair it. But none of those work. The touch screen seems to respond once after i touch it thirty or forthy times. But still i have no way to silde to unlock the phone. Is that means my phone is brick or just the touch screen is broken
Completely dead, I plugged the charger in, but no response, - battery is ok as I tried it in another phone , tried various combinations of buttons( volume up/ down/ home button/ power on) but again dead.
