HTC :: TyTn Ll Cannot Connect To Wireless Network At Home
Nov 21, 2007
I just got my TyTn ll and for the life of me I cannot connect to my wireless network at home. I have an open authetication WEP and even when I enter the network key that we use on our laptops it won't get connected. it sees all the available network including ours, but it won't connect.
So i fear i may be doing something silly or missing a step, but when i connect to my home wireless network, then do to the home screen or the menu (to use the facebook app, or ovi store in the menu) my phone connects via the gprs network and connection to my wlan is lost.If i use the option to browse the web, once connecting to a network i can access the ovi store over wlan.o am i missing a step? or am i not able to use apps (facebook/ovi) over wlan?
i recently bought a new wireless router, and i am unable to connect to it with my iphone.but when i had my old wireless router my iphone would connect to it instantly.i dunno if theres something in the router setting that i have to change or on the iphone.
I'm moderately technically inept and having troubles. I figure this has to do with wi-fi?I have a very large data transfer I'm trying to do and I'd like to connect to my own wireless network off my home/wireless internet. Is this possible??
I've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, and recently my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless network at home, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, and connection speed even displays the signal strength, but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I have tried restarting the BB, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem though.
Has anyone else had or heard of this issue before? And are there any solutions?
I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
I just picked up an Omnia i910 and got the WiFi to connect to my wireless network at home just fine. However, I cannot do anything with it? What am I missing here? I can open Opera and can't go anywhere. I can open up IE and still can't browse anything. Anyone have a suggestion? The Omnia is definitely connected properly to my network on a Netgear router.
Recently both our iPhones keep losing our home WiFi network connection. It makes us enter the password and stays connected for a little while but then loses it again. This issue just started about a day ago. The router is brand new so I have a hard time believing it is the problem. It is a Linksys WRT160N and replaced a Linksys WRT54G that we had for 5 years. Anyone else having WiFi issues?
My iPhone 4s will not connect to my home wireless network. The phone recognizes the network, but after i put in the password, the grey loading circle just spins endlessly on my chosen network without connecting. I've tried restting the network setting, restting the router, and checking for updates.
I know there are some threads on here with an issue like this but check it out:Last week my iPhone 3G stopped connecting to my wireless network. Since then I have changed the WPA Key and even removed it completely so that there is no password and it still does not connect. I tried my wife's iPhone at the same time and that connected no problem - even on another network my iPhone refuses to connect to a wireless network. Do I need to get it replaced?
I am new to this blackberry smartphone and have brought a new BB curve 9300 with BSNL connection. I am unable to connect to my wireless network my phone displays my network but does not connect at all says " Failed to associate with the network". I have tried all possible way
I have an iPhone 3G here that I can't connect to my wireless network no matter what I do. I even did a full restore on it. I tried turning all my wireless security off.. Still can't connect. I have 2 other iPhones here that will connect no problem. I also tried taking the problem phone to another friends house and can't connect to his network either.
As the title says; my Nokia 5800 stopped saving my home network's wireless access point. I have to type in my password every time, and it's a long password. And some apps don't tell me what access point I'm using so I need to know my home network is set as my default at all times to prevent a lot of data to be transferred at a cost. What happens is I search the WLAN, it's found, I put the password, and nothing happens. It just stops doing anything. If I log in directly from an app, like, the web browser, it will connect fine and everything, but the AP won't be saved, and when I disconnect it, I'll have to put the password again next time.I want to find a way to fix this by avoiding a hard reset, please. Any ideas? I tried restarting the phone several times and taking out the battery and placing it back; nothing worked. Help please :x

I'm in a US university and i'm trying to set up my E65 to connect to their wireless network in order to contact my family in belgium through VOIP. unfortunately, I'm unable to connect to the network. I have had my BB Bold for one week. The battery fully ran out and now after recharging it keeps crashing. When it comes back on line it asks to be reconnected to the Wireless network but then crashes straight away. I've tried factory restore and software update but it hasn't helped.
I was wondering if it's possible to connect to a wireless PAP network with the s621/s620/Dash? The university's wireless connection just changed to 802.1x PAP authentication, but I can't choose PAP, only "PEAP", "Smart Card or Certificate".I have to be able to log in with a username and password too.You can go to wireless.concordia.ca to see how to connect using windows or mac osx.Windows uses an installer, but osx has to be done manualy, maybe the latter can help?
How exactly do I configure my iPhone 3G w/OS 2.2.1 to connect to my corporate wireless network using PEAP?Here is the meat of the setup instructions for connecting wirelessly, but how do you do this on the iPhone?
1. We will configure the mycorporate SSID; the same instruction applies for the myguest.
2. From the Wireless Network tab, as in the SSID screen shot, click on Add.
3. From the Authentication tab, choose PEAP.
4. Click Properties.
5. In the Protected EAP Properties window, make sure the boxes beside Validate Server Certificate, Connect to these servers, and Secure Server Certification Authority (under Trusted Root Certification Authorities) are checked.
6. Click the OK button for each window until you exit the Wireless Network Properties window.
7. The mycorporate network is available.
8. When the Valid Server Certificate is shown, click OK to accept the server certificate.
For some unknown reason my Blackberry refuses to connect to my home Wifi. The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there. The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.
I've been trying to get my phone to connect to my existing home Internet connection, which is wireless. I gave this thought because my husband's IPhone connects to our home network so easily. How do I get my C901 to do this? Or is it not possible?
When I tried to set up the My Presence section within the phone I entered in my username, password and then it asked me for server information so I entered in what I thought was the right info, but now it keeps giving me a network error failure message.
I just got a replacement iphone 4s and am having trouble connecting to my home network. When I type in my password it says it cannot connect to the network. Before I got my replacement, my previous 4s was able to connect to the same network.
Yesterday I had to restore my phone. After the process was complete I turned on my wifi, clicked my home network and entered in the WEP password, and it repeatedly tells me the password is incorrect.I have triple checked the password, and the correct insertion of the password multiple times, and I am at a loss as to where to go from here. It is very frustrating. If anyone can help shine any light on some troubleshooting methods,
