HTC :: Internet Sharing Vs PDAnet For Windows Mobile
Does anybody have any thoughts as to whether PDAnet is better at connecting with the internet via GPRS/EDGE/3G than the Internet Sharing program that comes with Windows Mobile 6? I currently have an unlocked HTC TyTnII (aka ATT Tilt) and use the ATT network. My prior phone was a Palm Treo and I used PDAnet for Palm extensively (when I didn't have available a WiFi hot spot or ethernet connection) as a wireless modem for my laptop with good success. I have been able to connect using the TyTNII with Internet Sharing (although I found it slow; but that could be because ATT coverage wasn't good where I used it). I'm not concerned with data costs (or software costs) because I have a robust data plan. However, I am concerned with performance and ease of use. I'd appreciate any opinions of people who have used/tried both.

Does anyone have the correct W2K driver for internet sharing/USB tethering from the 8525? I've done this on my WinXP machines, which automatically installs the drivers and works great.BTW, this is for the ATT 8525 internet sharing method, not the old Cingular tethering method.

HTC :: Is Windows Mobile 6.1 For Touch Available?
I'm looking for WM 6.1 for my Touch. Now, it either doesn't exist or I can't find it. Yeah, I'm noobish since I play with ROMs really rarely.I also can't find anything useful on HTCs website. So, if it's available - where can I get it and, assuming it's for the Touch, it shouldn't break TouchFlo, right?

I have a Samsung Omnia i900 and can’t find the Internet or MMS settings for AT&T anywhere. It runs windows mobile 6.1 so not sure if it is the same as other 6.1 devices. The places that it appears that I have to set things are as follows: My Internet 1)Name- 2)Number- 3)Check box for this network connects to the internet 4)Check box for this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet 5)Proxy server- 6)There is an Advanced button that has HTTP, WAP, Secure WAP, and Socks types. For each type it ask for the Server, Server Port Number, Username, Password, and Domain. MMS Options 1)Profile Name (don’t think this matters) 2)MMSC- 3)Data Connections (I think you select the My Internet profile that would be created for AT&T) 4)Gateway- dropdown options are WAP 1.0, WAP 2.0, or NONE 5)IP Address- 6)Port- Also, before you say that MMS/Internet settings are available everywhere please understand that I have tried for about a week now and can not find ALL of these settings. I have been able to get the internet to work but no luck at all on the MMS. I actually own a chain of AT&T stores and have spent countless hours with tech support and browsing on the internet and no matter how I transpose the settings that I am able to find I can't get everything to work.

HTC :: Official Windows Mobile 6 Out For TyTn
So, I saw a news release today that it is finally out. I've been waiting for this for 2 months. I have a branded HTC TyTn, unlocked with WM5.I went to the European site. Registered my phone with the S/N under the battery, signed up to the Club, logged into the club, and then new menu entries appeared on the left side of the screen, for software updates. Magic.Pretty exciting....so far. I click on the "Phone Software Updates link , and they don't work. Instead, it asks me to select a phone. I can select a phone, but that logs me out and removes the menu items. So I select the phone, log back in, click "Software Updates", and it asks me to select a phone again. You can't get the update, unless it doesn't work with Firefox perhaps. Anyone else actually try to get the download?

I have a HTC Mogul with Windows Mobile 6.1 and since I updated the phone Internet Sharing won't work, so I did some research and people have said if I use a registry editor and delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/COMM/EXTENSION it will work but I cannot find one that will let me delete this string..I have tried Mobile Registry Editor 1.1 CeRegistryEditor

HTC :: Reinstall Windows Mobile On Ppc6800
I hope someone can point me in right direction. I have an US Cellular HTC PPC6800 and lately the device is really slow. Sometimes i cant answer the call because it takes longer for the phone to switch to dialer screen than 5-6 rings. It takes me over 45 seconds to read a text message. Something went wrong when i installed a program and cant revert back now. I don't know which program it was ( i installed many) and now, even after uninstalling every single program i could, phone is still slow. Can I just reinstall windows or will i have to flash it? Seems there isn't a lot of info about flashing USCC phone. I'm no stranger to flashing, I flashed my RAZR many times, but this phone just doesn't carry as much info on net as RAZR. Please let me know if there is some kind of write-up about flashing because as of now.. this phone is pretty much useless

I want to first start off by saying i'm a newbie so forgive me.I searched and could not find anything on this problem i'm having.I just received my ATT&T Tilt yesterday and was playing with it so i decided to download the blackberry software. I downloaded it to my micro sd card and it asked something like before installing bb software we must delete old bb software press ok to continue and i pressed the ok button and ever since i haven't been able to use my phone becuse it's stuck on the windos mobile screen. The screen right before you get to your desktop.

I recently bought my HTC P4000 (aka tytn i think and 6800 and mogul depending on your provider) and i was wondering if anyone knew of any drawing / graphics software that is compatible with WM6? I tried alot of pocket pc software and it doesn't seem to work (get an error message). I tried searching on here as well and couldn't find anything pertaining to WM6. I have a htc 621, I downloaded the file for windows mobile 6.1, and when I try to install it, everything runs fine. Until it gets to a point in the installation, when on the desktop it states I cannot find the device. Eventhough activesync has found it?
