HTC :: Activating Vogue On Verizon
I have friend who loves Verizon (no accounting for taste ). He is also in love with the HTC Vogue. If I can manage to obtain one are there any available routes out there to activate non-Verizon equipment on Verizon? The Vogue is obviously the CDMA version of the Touch.

HTC :: Verizon XV6175 Crackling Sound
A four-month old HTC XV6175 is crackling loudly on the user's end, but the sound isn't audible to anyone else on the line. Problem is intermittent, doesn't seem connected to either calling or receiving. Anyone had this problem or should we just ask for a replacement?

HTC :: Touch Diamond On Verizon CDMA?
I understand that Sprint's network is a CDMA network and Verizon's is too. The HTC Touch Diamond is coming to Sprint, but I am pretty sure that you can put a Sprint CDMA phone would work with Verizon. A couple years I was really into the designs of Sony Ericsson Phones and I went to go ask Verizon if I bought the phone from their website, then would I be able to use it on the Verizon network? The employee told me that it would work as long as it was a CDMA phone. Unfortunately, the one I wanted at the time was not, but the HTC Touch Diamond is a CDMA Phone. That should mean that it would work on Verizon's Network..Most likely, somebody will figure out how to hack it onto the network like when they did the iPhone to get on T-Mobile.

HTC :: Best Way To Lockout Data On Verizon TP2?
Sorry if this has been discussed in length already but I'm pretty new to this device and the board.I just got a Verizon TouchPro 2 from them on their MTM plan as I intend to switch it to PPC as soon as I'm sure the phone is working properly. My question is, I've herd that it is possible without to much trouble to, hack I guess is the best word to say, the OS or the device to keep the device from making any kind of a data connection not matter what. So can anyone give me any advice on this or point me in the right direction. As well if there are different ways of doing this I would prefer a way that I might be able to switch that back and fourth without to much trouble. In other words, if I really needed it, I could change a setting and maybe re-power it and be able to use the data, then set it back again to no data after.

HTC :: SMT5800 Verizon Bluetooth Tether
I was able to modify the dun.verizon whatever in the phone to get it to work with a usb cable tethered. now I would like to be able to use the bluetooth on the phone to tether. I can see that the phone has some audio gateway on it and can pair the phone with the laptop, but no modem/com port options show up. I tried adding a registry value and some files to the windows folder to make it show up per a thread on here but it doesnt work with WM6 standard apparently. has anyone been able to get it to work? for usb tethered mode you have to enable it on the phone by running the modemlink app, I tried running this while searching on the bluetooth but that didnt help.

HTC :: Looking For No Compromise Case For Verizon TP2
I finally splurged and bought myself a "no compromise" smart phone and now need a "no compromise" kind of case.So far these two are the best I have found:This case looks to be very finely made. It provides cover for most of the phone and appears to hold the phone just by the pressure of the case while still allowing you to slide it open. The thing that concerns me is the speaker and mic are both covered. I'm not sure well they will perform with leather in front of them. http://www.cases.com/pf453.htm This case isn't quite as refined looking but is certainly attractive. It provides adequate coverage and does not block the speaker or mic. Unfortunately, the case uses a strip of plastic that overlays half the keyboard. I love the feel of the keypad and don't want plastic over it. They could have at least covered the entire keypad for a consistent feel. http://www.cases.com/pahtctp2st.htm.Should I just bite the bullet and settle on one or does someone have a better recommendation?Btw, I do not want a skin or anything of the sort. I only want a case that provides similar functionality of those I posted.

HTC :: Flashing / Unlocking PPC6800 To Verizon?
A friend of mine has an Altell PPC6800 and she's now on verizon, she loves that phone and she's upset with the phone Verizon gave her a bit ago and still carries her 6800 even though it's non-functional. Do you have any advice on getting an Altell PPC6800 working on Verizon? She has called Verizon and had a bunch of rude representatives tell her it's not possible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's the exact same phone hardware. To my knowledge Verizon also changed their policy to accept third party phones on their service sometime in 2008.

HTC :: Taking XV6800 From Alltel To Verizon
I need some troubleshooting. The phone was previously used on Alltel and I want it to work on Verizon.Steps I've Taken: 1)Used the utility from HTC's support software downloads to remove the Alltel rom and replace it with Verizon's rom 2) Installed MR1 and MR2 from PCD's website 3) I tried numerous PRL's for verizon including the one on my current verizon phone The today screen still says "ALLTEL Extended" next to the phone symbol.Trying to activate the phone online I get:"The phone associated with the ESN/MEID you entered cannot be activated."Attempting to activate over the phone, Im told their system tells them the phone is on Alltel's network.I've seen people on this forum get their HTC PPC6800 to work, what am I missing/doing wrong?

HTC :: Activating An Alltel Touch Pro On Verizon
Quick question guys, I am planning on picking up a Touch Pro very soon, and I am currently on Verizon. Problem is I, like many others hate what Verizon did with their version of the phone.Question is, since Verizon and Alltel have now merged, I should be able to buy an Alltel Touch Pro on eBay and activate it on Verizon without too much of a problem correct? Please let me know what you think, any help is much appreciated. If this has been discussed elsewhere, I apologize. I'm currently at work, and Searching is only giving me a PHP error.

HTC :: How To Backup Verizon Xv6900 Phone Information?
I've had a xv6900 for about two weeks now.Nice phone and I've done alot of playing around with software found on the internet; games, apps, GPS, etc. Unfortunately, something inadvertantly messed up the bluetooth functionality of the phone and had to do a hard reset to get it back. I then had to go into a Verizon store so they could re-activate the phone as it would no longer allow me to dial in/out after the hard reset. Backing up my contact and calendar information with activesync is easy enough but obviously the stuff needed to make the phone "work" is not backed up by activesync and is lost after a hard reset. My question is, is there a way to backup and restore the phone activation information so I can avoid having to go into a Verizon store whenever I have to do a hard reset?

HTC :: Verizon Touch Pro2 No EMS Support?
I just got my Verizon Touch Pro2 and I'm trying to find out if it supports EMS (messages over 160 characters within the Verizon network). Reading the specs on the phone it should support it, but large messages are still split and large ones sent to my phone are not allowed to go at all.Has anyone gotten EMS to work on this phone? If not, is this a feature that might work when the WM 6.5 upgrade comes out?
