HTC :: Alternative Java Midlet Manager?
my Dash can only run one java app at a time. Is there another midlet manager that can run one in the front and put others into suspended mode?

so i am trying to install apps to my u700.i tried the secret unlock codes (i.e. starting *#9998.) but they all return "unknown command" errors and still dont allow me to install java midlets directly on the phone.the other method to install is to "download" them via wap. from others, it seems that if i simply copy both jad and jar files to a webserver and browse to them on the phone, it will install.NOT FOR ME! it simply opens and displays the jad file! how do i get this to start the download! all i want in the entire world is to install 1 app!

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Alternative To Media Manager?
I just got a storm a few weeks ago. I don't know how I ever lived without it!But now as I get ready for my vacation, I installed the BB Desktop Manager on my MSI Wind. Unfortunately, the display setting required by Roxio Media Manager is difficult (to say the least) on the tiny MSI Wind screen. After opening the Media Manager, icons show up for the BB device memory and the BB memory card in "My Computer". I can easily drag/drop to manage my media if I can see the devices. Is there any way to get those icons in "My Computer" without using Roxio Media Manager?

Does anyone know of a proper alternative to Sony Ericsson's horrendous Media Manager software?I mainly use it to manage podcasts on my phone, but it being the worst piece of software ever written I'm wondering if there is a replacement that can subscribe to podcasts and load them to the phone.Media Manager usually crashes at least once and only detects the phone every other time before I manage to do the sync. LG :: Keybo Java Loader Possible To Run Java Programs From Java App?
I am able to install java apps on my phone (LG9100 Keybo) using BitPim. This phone uses Brew, so I can replace one of the included apps (Music player or Navigator) with whatever java app I want to use. This works perfectly, but it only allows me to put on two apps. I could modify the content info file, but this is a pain when adding/removing programs. Has anyone ever seen a java app loader program for a phone that lets you run other java apps from within it? I have found lots of file explorer apps, but nothing that actually lets you open a jar or jad file. The file explorers let a person edit, compress, copy, move, etc files, but not actually open them.What I'd really like to be able to do is install a java app loader on the phone, then put games, apps, etc on the sd card, and load them using the app. I just can't find a java app loader anywhere.Has anyone seen one, know if they exist or know if it's possible?

I just bought a brand new htc s621 with WM6 from rogers and I want to know how to enable java in it because everytime i go into hotmail.com or facebook.com i cant access anything because it says i need to enable java. can someone please let me know how i can enable this to be able to use ie like a normal browser or at least so i can log into hotmail or facebook.

HTC :: Way To Obtain Java For Touch Pro
I need help getting java for my touch pro. We currently just rolled over to a new time system at work thats internet based. And as a supervisor I can edit and update everyones time sheets from my laptop. But when I went to the website on my phone it said that I needed "Java Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_19-b02)". So thats the question, is there a way to obtain this java for the touch pro cause if so it would make life ALOT easier. And also on this phone I don't see the "E" that my mogul had that was for java.

HTC :: Mogul Java Apps Locking Up Phone?
So i have a sprint mogul, and i've been experiencing some issues w/ my phone. There are times where it won't come out of standby and none of the buttons work and i end up having to soft reset.I think i've come to the conclusion that it seems to happen whenever i have a java based application open and i let the phone go into standby for a few minutes (like 10 or more.)Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it really the java apps causing it? Is there a fix?For now, i'm just making sure i close java all together before putting/letting the phone go into standby

Can anyone give be a good program besides Outlook that I can use to enter and sync my contacts with? I really don't like the way I am forced to use Outlook with my Wm6. I don't care if its a free or paid application as long as it's stable.I have searched for over 2hrs and can't find anything that has a desktop application to do this.

I have tested a few HTC Comm Managers(new black theme. Kaiser style) and low and behold non of them have the wifi working right. I cannot enable/disable it from the comm manager. Anybody find a real working one that does this? Even some that were claimed to be "FIXED" didn't work... Anyone have a dump of the original also? (stock WM6)

Rename each copy to match the filenames in /tpa/preset/system/java/sec (or extsec depending on firmware), and overwrite them on the phone.The explanation:Papresetsystemjavasec or papresetsystemjavaextsec on cingular firmware phones.seemingly randomly-named files such as: j3f2912a7b4c8969dc39464c57232a13d5f89994f j21f8296058e8b6b5f9caff08829a4099d1caa6dd Each file is a bitmask representing the phones settings for java security. I did not bother determining what each bit does, just which bit allows full permissions. So, open the file in a hex editor, you should see for example:03030303030303030302020202020202020202020202020202 0202020203030303 Make it: 05050505050505050505050505050505050505050505050505 0505050505050505 And you're done! Permissions still show as not configurable on the phone, and also information will show untrusted, but it works great. Survives a master reset, as well.I'll be integrating it into my cingular firmware (shameless plug) here.

For a long time AT&T nee Cingular has locked me out of their MEdia (AT&T) Mall, and prevented me from running desirable apps by signing them with a "secret" certificate only available on their branded phones.Well, thanks to a2uploader and the recent acquisition of a locked AT&T phone I have been able to snag these Preferred and Trusted Java signing root certificates. As well as the entire AT&T customization package, which gives me a good template to play with my own if I so desire. (As an aside, I can also now download from the AT&T Mall using a Firefox add-on which allows me to spoof a particular supported phone's User-Agent string.)I digress. When I sent these certificates to my unlocked K850i it places them in the Trusted Cert store rather than the Java Cert store and the apps still have problems running and fail to install using the signed JAD. I have not tried it, but I assume my K790a will behave the same way.Now, the XML which defines the AT&T customizations references the certificates as well as the proper store location for them. Is this my only way to force a cert into the Java store? This also leads into how can I install client certificates?

Anyone know how to do it? It sure doesn't do it for me automatically. It only has the original songs i had on the card from when I first used the program. Now the new files won't update and show up in the library. i tried everything from soft resetting, to pulling out the card and back in. i even updated it in WMP. Nothing...

Is there currently an alternative for iBlank on the i4?I assume its not working properly because of Winterboard.all blanks are still slightly visible ( even with No Icon Shadows enabled ).My current wallpaper is quite dark so its not the end of the world but would be nice to get it perfect.

I just found this and it seems pretty cool. you can use this to sync your iPhone/iPod and not worry about updating your device. you get a 15 day trial but it will cost $24.99 to purchase. it seems you can do alot more with this and its easier than iTunes.
