Apr 27, 2015Text using laptop? I've been using an native mac app called "Verizon Messages+" to text my contacts through my computer however I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade. I ran by an app called "AirDroid" which looks pretty neat but kind of feature bloated at the same time.
I'd prefer to use a native app as opposed to going to a website and/or using a chrome plugin. This was probably one of my favorite features about iMessage, I was able to seamlessly message contacts through a clean and intuitive interface on my computer.
Galaxy S6 :: Why Aren't Receiving Texts From Anything But Hangouts App
Oct 11, 2015I currently do the majority of my texting from Google Hangouts on my computer. However on my phone, the only Android app that will actively sync these text messages (and receive new ones) is the hangouts android app. I'm trying to switch to another app while still being able to text from hangouts from my computer. Is this possible?

Apr 9, 2015For example when I receive texts that are larger than normal, it shows 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, and 5/5 sometimes more sometimes less. It's aggravating cause when you should be receiving one message, you receive several texts. And they are usually out of order so you gotta go back and forth. I am on U.S. Cellular and have a galaxy s5. My friend has a s4 on U.S. Cellular also and hers doesn't do this. I think it did this for me also on the s4 and now on the s5. Maybe I'm just missing a setting?

Jul 14, 2015starting just over a week ago my Ford Sync (not Ford Touch) stopped receiving texts from my s5. I have tried unpairing and repairing the phone and sync, I get the message to allow acess to my phone book but not for texts (even doubled check that MAP profile was on, it was). Message notification set to on also. I think my phone updated, and that's when the texts stopped working.

Jan 23, 2015I switched from an iPhone to the S5 in mid december and have had issues with getting texts. I have read a lot about it, so I shut off iMessage on my mac and even disabled my number with iMessage on Apple's site. However, I am still not receiving some texts from iPhones. If they send a text just to me i get it fine (even though they may have to click send as a text message) but I won't be able to get it in a group text. It is frustrating because I can see some texts but not all of them. This has been happening for over a month now.

Jul 3, 2012Is text messaging. If I try to send an outgoing text at the same time that one is incoming it will not send the outgoing message. It will struggle for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (or even more) and eventually time out with a 'text was not sent' error message. For someone like me who sends thousands of texts a month it's the most annoying thing ever! Other phones do not have this problem.
Also the time stamp for texts does not work if the phone is powered off. For example: I turn my phone off at midnight and someone sends me a text at 1:00 AM. I turn my phone back on at 8AM. The text arrives but does not have the correct time stamp as being sent at 1:00 AM. It will be shown as 8AM. So I have no idea what time the message was actually sent. Once again other phones I have used did not have this problem.

Jul 20, 2011I have a blackberry curve 8330. The vibrate works well, but anytime I set the phone to normal or loud, it will not ring at all. I can hear the ringtones phone in the media section quite clearly but that's all. I have tried switching ringtones, I have checked all my settings, I have taken the battery out and put it back in, the phone is not on mute. I have even downloaded my own ringtone to the phone and that doesn't work either.

That way it gives me a chance to silence it or answer it before it rings, if I am in a meeting, for example. May 24, 2011when I make a call it immediately says "call ended/closed" and when I enter *110# I get this message: Connections problems or invalid MMI-code.When I restart my phone, maybe repeting that process like 10 times then I can send/recieve calls/texts, but only for a brief moment.Before it wasn't as bad... I always got the Connection problem message after a I've made a phone call. But now it is bugging me 24/7.I have resetted my phone, I've even upgraded it. Still nothing.I have changed network operator. Still nothing.I have inserted my phone card into another phone and with that phone I have no problems.So I suspect it most be my phone's fault. I can send them, and people recieve them, but when people text me, I don't get their texts.I have put my sim card into another phone, and have been able to recieve texts perfectly.HOWEVER. I have resolved this issue once, I was reccomended to do a factory reset on my phone. I did it, and I was receiving texts again.But, after a while, I stopped receiving texts.I don't want to have to do a factory reset again and again, since reinstalling all the apps is a pain.
