My Galaxy s5 often fails to find the available network (error message that network unavailable) even when there are a full set or bars or when I am on a strong wi-fi (I use t-mobile wi-fi calling) even after I had just used the phone for a call or text. A phone restart always fixes this but it is very annoying. It can happen a couple of times a day or not for a day or 2. what's up?
After flashing CF-ROOT, TWRP and XtreStoLite (both De and Odexed versions just to be sure)
I am unable to connect to the network. I flashed the modem and bootloader attached on that post (#3) to go back to stock, but still no dice.
Also, maybe unrelated, my touch X-Axis is inverse, which seems to indicate I accidentally flashed the Edge version. So I redownloaded everything and double checked the models, still no dice. The Inverted Screen Fix Can't be run since a message about not being registered on the network shows up.
My father purchased a new Galaxy S6 and it's working flawlessly except for when the S6 is paired (bluetooth) with his car (VW Golf).
When the S6 is paired with the car it can't make any call at all, it says "Not registered on network" but there is no problem making a call from the car integrated control.
Looking at the phone signal status with an app like "Network Signal Info" reports no signal at all (but there is full signal in the status bar), and the car dashboard shows full signal bar.
Now since the car can't handle all the phone contacts (in my father's car case his contact list stops at the M) and since calling a contact with the car control is really clunky, the solution would be to search and call the contact directly from the phone and then talk with the car 's hands free kit but sadly doing this the phone reports "Not registered on network".
I've tried looking under bluetooth setting but nothing seems to solve it (i hate touchwiz btw)
How can I ignore a wifi network? i did some reading and i found sites that say you long press the wifi network you want to ignore and an option will popup to ignore it. I do no get that option when i long press a wifi network. i'm suing a S6 Active.
i just installed Jelly bean before 5 mins, after i rebooted my phone i put my PIN code and phone start well, but then i see this "sim network unlock pin"how can i fix it? i was using Icream sandwich before.do i need to install again ICS to fix it?
My wife just came back from overseas and now her phone will not detect our wireless network, just says it's "out of range", yet my phone connects fine. I have checked all the settings which are ok, reset the phone and the router to no avail.
My SGSII is not connected to 3G network. I am using Aircel connection, Hyderabad India. My sim card is getting into 3G network when I put it into any other 3G phone.
IMEI can be seen, everything is fine, when plugged in my orange sim card it just said "mobile network not available". The signal strength is fine and can be seen. I tried an O2 sim card, a talktalk (vodafone) sim card and they both worked fine. both of my 2 orange sim cards didn't work on this phone, but they worked fine on my other 2 phones. latest update, just flashed orange stock rom KJ4, got the same problem.tried manually connect to orange, got notice that "unable to connect, try later".
some more detail:every time when I flashed a new rom, always a notice saying "can't access to "/system/csc/ORA/system/". Tried *#272*imei#, there was no optional CSC available.
I have tried reinstalling the frimware and all that did was lose my apps. Tried doing a different firmware and tried rooting all the same results. The phone is definitely unlocked and unblocked as while I was searching google I came across one of those secret codes to show the status of the locks and all 4 of the categories were unlocked. I have tried a batterry pull and tried cleaning the Sim card. Also just in case this helps when I g into Settings>Call>Additional Settings it says 'Network Or Sim card error'. However the Sim card is perfectly fine.
I'm having some really annoying issue with my phone, when I select the Network Mode to GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) it is working perfectly fine but as soon as I change to LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto connect) I lost 75% of my signal.
Of course without activating LTE I cannot access the 4G Network which is a bit annoying.
I also tried to flash the latest modem for my phone g920i but it didn't solve the problem.
I have mobile connection to my network buy suddenly it goes away and says no network. Why does that happen. I have searched the internet factory reset it everything. My phone is free of lock
I have a S6 edge and trying to find out where is the network mode can be found. Far is I know, it should be under the "mobile network" menu, but is not there. All I have under the "mobile networks" menu is: Mobil data, International Data Roaming, Access Point Names and Network operators. None of these including the "network mode".
If I try to find it in the search, it takes me straight to where is should be, but again, is not there.
This is a strange one, last night I picked up my phone and had no data signal at all but a fairly strong phone signal, I assumed it was ee, they've been appalling lately, I turned my phone off and on, toggled flight mode on and off and it made no difference, I went into the network menu and I noticed that the mobile data was turned off, I turned it back on and all was well again. Just now I picked my phone up again and my mobile data was switched off and my phone was disconnected from the network altogether, how is this possible?
The "no network" thing has been going on for a couple of months. I go out somewhere and go to make a call and it says no network is available. I see no bars, but am in a place that always has bars. So I have to turn the phone off and restart it, then I have bars. The phone IS set up to use my wifi at home, when available, but always switched seamlessly, and I never had any problems receiving calls when I go out, or this "no network available" thing.
Then recently, it's started hanging up all the time. I tap something and have to wait several seconds for a response, Very annoying. I updated the system several days ago, and it said there was an update available today, so I updated today, but still a problem.
The network mode on my Samsung galaxy S5 device is always set at GSM only. When I try to change it to WCDMA only or GSM/WCDMA (auto mode) it changes back to GSM only. The area I am has 3G network and most devices I see have H but mine always shows as E no matter what I do. When browsing it takes a long time for pages to open because its always at E.
I have factory reset the device but still facing the same problem.
I bought a Galaxy S5 from Argos very recently since I needed a sim free phone, it was a gift for my brother who was moving abroad. However, he has since informed me that the phone is locked and is not accepting the local sims. Now I feel this may have been my fault because I've heard you need to use a couple UK sims before going abroad which I never did. Anyway, I wanted to grab an unlock code for him to use but all the websites ask what network the phone is locked to, which he can't find since it was originally unlocked from Argos.
So in summary, I need to somehow find out if the phone is locked to a network even though the phone was bought unlocked. Pretty confusing, I know.
After new update, my phone doesn't seem to have a mobile network. I tried calling at&t we did some troubleshooting, they recommended a back up and restore to undo any updates but that didn't work. I have a galaxy s5... I can't go on the Internet or social media unless on WiFi. If I receive picture messages it won't let me download them/view them even on wifi....
I always had a strange problem in my S5 with the wifi manager. He keeps crashing when i turn it on. Example: i turn the wifi on by the the notification panel and press the WiFi icon to see the possible networks, but i cant scroll down because the wifi manager crashs, and i have to wait until it "uncrash" to select the network, and it crashs again when start to browse for other networks...It's annoying, but now i'm having other problem with the wifi. I have updated my S5 to lolipop yesterday, and i noticed another problem with the wifi. The first problem still exists, but now, when i turn on the wifi it takes something like 30 ~ 40 seconds to turn on.
I just rooted and unlocked a SG2 that was on the 3 network. I ran Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock after rooting using ODIN etc - I put in the unlock code and it said unlock successful. After putting in my Orange SIM and switching on, I am getting the network error symbol and am unable to make calls. (Interestingly, I do get the Orange SIM Plus app icon on the phones desktop. Also, the phone still boots with the 3 logo - was expecting this to have disappeared completely!).
suddenly my Samsung Galaxy S2 can't access the wireless network. It has worked before but now it seems to be hanging when searching for wi-fi units in the network. I can access Kies via usb-cable.
I have signal and I can make calls/send texts but the o2 icon on my main home page has disappeared, it's really irritating me lol!
My mate was mucking about with my phone earlier and changed the wallpaper to a pic from facebook so I'm thinking it maybe has something to do with that... I've been through the settings and can't find anything... been in the widgets to try and get it back cause I remember on my old samsung you could put it on the screen as a widget... but no luck!
I've turned it on and off but no luck, and I don't want to have to resort to restoring it to the factory settings cause I don't want to lose everything..
I mainly use my Galaxy S II to access my WLAN and rarely use the phone for telephone calls. Yet my pre-paid credit is constantly being eaten up?
I think the phone is set up to automatically select the best network. Normally this will be my WLAN,but I suppose,if I am in an area of the house with poor WLAN coverage, the mobile network is automatically selected?
So it shows up on the upper most left of the lock screen and it seems to be blocking my notification icon for new message(hoverchat, if it matters). using s6(also if it matters)
So on my s3 I was able to wireless print to my hp that is on my home network.
When I used to print I think there was a samsung print server and a google print server. I think the google one is what worked.
However on the s6 there is only a samsung one. I did download the hp print app from the play store. When I go to print something it shows my printer however nothing comes out or of it is supposed to I cancel it after five minutes. The printer is on line and does work with a lap top.
My S6 Edge is failing to recognise the Sim card. (aim works perfectly in another handset). I've gone into the settings menu to look at the network settings, but 'mobile networks' is now missing from the menu.
This is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.
I recently got my S5 and my data connectivity has stopped working after I took a flight. I had enabled flight mode on and turned it off when I landed. I'm still in the same country. Before this, I used to only be able to connect to H+ but I'm positive that my data was set to enable 4G LTE. My SIM card works on my old S3 and 4G LTE is being used. I'm not sure what's going on, I've tried resetting my phone a bunch of times and playing with the settings.
When I connect my bluetooth headset and try a google command such as "navigate to Staples, Hudson NY" I get a message via the headset stating that I have limited network access and can only use the calling feature. However If I am connected via my wifi it performs that command without any problem as well as any other such a text so and so.
If I turn the headset off and turn off the wifi connection and speak the navigate command directly to the phone it will do so without any problem.
I am at a loss as to why the google commands only work if I'm connected to my wifi while using my headset?
