BB Storm 9500 :: SSL Error When Redirect To HTTPS
We have the new Stroms in house and users are complaing that the can't get to HTTPS logon screens. They were able to get to the site on their 8830's
Errors;
- The server returned the following error: "Access denied: Insecure SSL Request"
- Unable to connect using the current security settings. Please contact your service provider
- You MDS has been configured to deny SSL request to servers that have certificates which are untrusted or expired.
I attempted to resolve this by doing the following;
- Options / Security Options / TLS
- Changed 'Allow HTTPS Redirections' = YES (didn't work)
- changed from 'Proxy' to 'Handheld' (didn't work but I get a different error message)
**The selected server returned an error when attempthing to fulfill you request.

I can't believe how difficult this is, but, I would like to hear from someone that has done this successfully! (If it's even possible)I have my external email server settings. (We have internal email server domains and external email server domains.) The internal one works with outlook on our internal workstations and over secure VPN. The External server name is for external devices such as Blackberry's. Other employees have been able to setup their black berry curves with the external facing email server.It is server.companyname.com and requires a nonstandard network port to be specified and requires SSL encryption at login.When I go to provide the settings, I got one message saying: "This POP server is not supported as it does not have sufficient capabilities. Please try different POP server." Which is ridiculous because it works just fine with older models of blackberries just fine at work. If I specify server.companyname.comortnumber it tells me: "Cannot connect to email server or invalid server name".One of my coworkers that has a company supplied blackberry Curve, showed me his blackberry site and it's different. It asks for server name, email server type (IMAP), It asks for Port: Timeout: and has a checkbox for SSL or not.Why doesn't the STORM have this capability? And if it does, how is it accessed?

BB Storm 9500 :: Intellisync Connector Specific Error / Internal Error #4238
I got my Blackberry storm phone approximately 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly. I was able to Back-up my files and Synchronize my Contacts from the Windows Address Book. I had 68 Contacts in it and today I added 5 more to make it 73. I went to synch the phone and right as it was about to synch the contacts, I got a "Intellisync Connector Specific Error" message. I then checked the logs and on the bottom of the log, it says "Internal Error #4238". I deleted and re-installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager, and reset my computer and phone several times. I also wne to the Advanced section and deleted the contacts from the phone and tried re-installing them and it only installed 44 of them and got the same "Intellisync Connector Specific Error" message.

BB Storm 9500 :: Error 523 & Error 200
I recently ought a BB Storm2 9550 for couple of days it was working well but i got some connection problem so I was told to change the software which i did successfuly but there was still sone problem in browsing the internet. then again I was downloading the software but in between my laptop went into hibernation mode by the time I could recover it. the Device showed error 523 then again i tried to reconnect it but in vain. the Desktop Manager couldnt detect it. and I took the battery out and then tried to restart but it gave error 200. Now it is not starting nor is getting connected to Desktop manager. I need some experts to help me out here there are not many people who can help me with the device.

BB Storm 9500 :: 9500 (not 9530) GPS Error When Out Of Network Range
When I am out of range of a GSM network GPS stops working, even if I have SOS only, that is the phone is currently connected/talking to the network of another carrier GPS will work, yet when there is no signal at all, there is no GPS, this has been the case in all OS versions I've tested from .78 (which came with the phone), .83, .85 and .87. I didn't test with .88 and haven't had a chance to test with .90 yet, but I doubt it would have been addressed, this is really annoying when going geocaching in national parks and you need to take a 8310 just so you have a working GPS. Does anyone know if this bug is known, I tried searching these forums and didn't see any similar issues stand out, or is this a bug with my phone and should it be replaced?

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: No Circuit / No Channel Error Code On Unlocked Storm
I have a BB storm 9530 that is currently unlocked. It is a verizon wireless phone, but I am currently using it on the t mobile network. I had upgraded the phone's os system to the official 5.0.0.328 os that was released by verizon online the phone was much faster and responsive, but I could not make any phone calls. I was recieving the "no circuit/no channel" error code. Can you please instruct me on what to do. I would like to find an os that will work on the T mobile network. I am sick and tired of using os v4.7.0.75 (platform 4.0.0.94)

i am new in here but i am using a bb for more then 5 years and i have most of the bb models.which i enjoy,but few days ago i encounter a problem which seems like i cant fix...and usually i am good at it.can anybody please help me out here? i have this message on top of my 9500 screen "Service Required" and the phone don't have connection any more no calls no data..no network at all .

Samsung :: Redirect Call To Headphones
I didn't like the stock headset that I got with my Nokia, and preferred to use my ordinary favorite headphones with it. I used it all day for listening to music and radio. When making voice calls, I used my headphones for listening, and held the phone in front of me, talking into the built in microphone of the Nokia. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S expecting to use it the same way (I don't like the headset - it's uncomfortable too), but discovered that it simply cannot execute this simple task. Apple and Nokia have done it for years, but the Samsung forces me to either disconnect my headphones and hold the phone against my ear when answering calls, or use some Samsung headset (not an option). Is it HW or SW issue? Should I expect, that this will be fixed in some future update? Is there any app to help me get around this issue or am I going to have to find myself another phone? HTC and SE doesn't have this issue.

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Newbie Storm Connection Error
I just traded in my Pearl for a Storm and getting used to it. When I plugged my Pearl into my laptop via the USB cable, it asked me if I wanted to turn on Mass storage mode and then it would show up as a drive in My Computer. Why isn't my Storm doing that when I connect it? I installed everything, rebooted, etc. How do I transfer data to the storm?

I am on a VZW 8830 (v4.2.2.196) / BES...Whenever I access the website -- www sigalert com or www sigalert com/w)I get the following error: Exceeded maximum redirect attempts to server: Sigalert.com - Personalized Traffic Reports I am able to access other sites just fine.There is no IT policy restrictions set in place.

BB Bold 9000 :: Adding Outlook Email Address With Redirect Software On Computer
Trying to add my Outlook work email address (we do not have enterprise software). I have the redirect software on my computer. Can sync calendar, no problem. Tyring to add address, get the little email in my outlook, but it just keeps retrying and doesn't finish the process. At least once, I recived a message that an error ocurred. Any suggestions? I can add the email as a personal email, but would rather have it redirected.

When trying to set up synch settings with Outlook 2002 calendar get the following message Function Open Msg Store failed. I can sync with yahoo calendar but not outlook.Have never used Outlok previously so I am not sure if it just a problem with Outlook or the Blackberry as well.Also,installed desktop manager and ticked redirector in error so now getting the RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2 email messages.Reinstalled destkop manager but this hasnt stopped the emails.Any help would be appreciated

BB Storm 9500 :: Sync Error Outlook XP DM 4.7.0.25?
I have read many many posts already about the warning 0x3b21. I am running Windows XP pro, with Outlook XP (2002). I have: reset the blackberry to default, changed user profiles, changed PST files, reinstalled office and updated, reinstalled blackberry desktop. I cant get this thing to sync for anything. I am using DM 4.7.0.25. When I go to sync, then choose to configure sync, i click the button, it comes up does its thing, then it goes to "setting up default configuration" and then it comes up with that error. I have now spent many hours. I use BIS for my email, but i want to sync the calendar and contacts.

BB Storm 9500 :: Error With Connecting To BIS?
I bought Verizon Storm 2 9550 in February in Malaysia. My service provider is DiGi. Today, DiGi informed me that their system is unable to work with Verizon phones. Another service provider, Maxis doesn't have this problem. Please advise or I will have to purchase a new Storm 2 9520 to stay with DiGi.

I have a 9530 storm and have two JVM codes and i dont know what they mean.....if anyone can help i would really appreciate it!! the code reads- a system-JVM:INFO....I need to know what it means so i can possibly fix the problem. Also my phone doesnt read my memory card, any thoughts, its not the card because it works in other phones.

BB Storm 9500 :: Error Message On Every Reboot
Every time after rebooting my storm the following message appears on the screen: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException".i suspect because of this error my incoming and outgoing calls are not being saved in the call log... i do the following steps: Phone --> Call Log --> hit the menu key --> Options --> Call Logging --> select All Calls to show them in Message List...when i'm trying to access Phone Call Logs from the messages folder, the same error message appears.
