2 days ago I bought my new cellular - E66 and been playing with it since. Here are my questions to you. Awaiting answers
1] when I'm trying to use Apps Installer to install new themes I get this:the contents of the currently selected phone cannot be shown by this application both with memory card and phone memory
2] do you have creaking noises when you use you're slider buttons?I mean it's not very loud but it's there...perhaps I will get used to it.Some people say it's 'pretty normal'...
3] any really useful freeware available for this phone...?
4] Nokia Ovi Suite or Nokia PC Suite? which one is more reliable/advisable?
5] opera 4 mini or opera 5 mini for my phone?
6] When to start charging e66?my old cell had % and I had read it was best to start recharging when the % dropped to 8-10, how about e66? One bar left or....?And when to stop?more or less when the meter stops or meter stops + 10 minutes, then unplug?
7] currently: 102.07.81 12-07-2008 RM-343 what can I gain downloading the newest soft? do you recommend it?
8] can the balloon tips in the main menu be turned off? those that popup when you choose messages - you see popup saying you've chosen... messages, when you choose gallery there's another popup..icons are self-explanatory for me, so?
9] On my old cell I could configure the picture settings to my liking, i.e. I could choose 2mpix and the desired resolution or 3mpix and the resolution. Is it possible with my e66? cause so far haven't been able to figure it out... or it's impossible, which sucks cause I want my 3mpix and, say, 800x600 or maybe it wasn't possible.. and I'm mistaken with this one lol
I used both Opera Mobile 10 beta and Opera Mini 5 beta in 5800 XM. Opera Mobile crashed very frequently requiring restart of the phone! Opera Mini is much better. I also see apparently no difference between Mini & Mobile version! So, I am now settled with Opera Mini.
I know opera mini is only for Java enabled and non-symbian phones and Opera for mobile is for all symbian and Windows enabled phones. Does opera mini provide the same services as opera for mobile? Can u surf almost every site using opera mini?
And those who are already using Opera mini could please tell me if you can disable the Small Screen Rendering?
I've heard of some problems from Opera Mini 4 users who have had to revert back to 3.1.2.With the massive influx of HTC Touch units to the market in the past month due to unlimited deals (I'm referring to Canada here mostly), how is everyone doing with mini 4. Any problems?Incidentally, should I need 3.1.2, where could I download it?
I just got my enV3 today and I went on to the opera website on my default browser, when I tried to download it my phone restarted it did this four times, did it download? is it on my phone somewhere? I cant find. it if it did download where would it be? I appreciate the help.
I have disabled "packet data" ( whatever that means?) as I was told to, to disable the phones internet connection via the network. ( if I want to go online I connect via wifi) But... now heres the thing, IF Im out & about & there is no wifi available, if I try & open Opera mini, it connects! Obviously this is thru my supposedly disabled network! How can this be? AND more importantly, how can I turn off all instances of the phone connecting in this way?Can I ask my provider ( Orange) to completely disable it at their end?
I can't use Opera mini web browser at all! It loads and finally throws up the following error:"Failed to connect to the Internet."It's frustrating coz I was (am) able to use Opera mini without any glitch on N73.
Just installed opera mini beta 5 and it is a fantastic piece of software, the onyl problem I have is it will only connect using my contract wap and not through my home wifi, I have the N97 set up for all other internet applications to always ask. Anyone know how to resolve?
I got a problem and it's very frustrating since, I can't install opera mini at all. Because, first my phone tells me: 'Opera M...' already exists. Replace version 4.01(0) with version 4.01(0). Since I don't have opera mini installed, it informs it's installed even it isn't. When I try to continue, I get: unable to install
I went personally to the Nokia store and the sales person gave me an advice like: ''You should uninstall all your apps, hard reset and then update'', also told me that there is some hidden folders, apparrently opera folder or something. I played with X-plore and deleted all my folders (memory card & phone memory). Tried again installing opera mini, nothing changed. I did this, but no sign of relief for me. I'm giving up hope, since I dislike the S60 browser..
I have bought a nokia c2-00 which is dual sim. The default Internet browser works but my provider has failed to make the opera mini work. The opera mini comes loaded under me applications. The opera mini gives the message "failed to connect to the Internet ... Contact service provider for Internet settings" . What do I do? I prefer opera mini.
I've installed opera mini 6.1 from opera mini website but it doesn't connect to the internet. I have also defined an access point but its of no use. The inbuilt browser (older version of opera without tab support) is working perfectly fine..but the newer version with tab support are more user friendly.
I downloaded and installed the new 4.5OS for my 8700 yesterday and like it OTHER than the fact that I've lost my Blackberry Browser and really dislike the Cingular Browser!I find that I lose the cursor and have to repeatedly click my wheel and hit select mode to click a link.Another thing I'm finding, too is that with Opera 4.2 when I'm browsing, I cannot switch applications or click my front button to bring up my SMS folder. Anyway to work around that, shy of having to exit out of OM?
I am having problems installing Opera mini on my Blackberry pearl 8110. I have put information about APN adress under TCP. i have downloaded Opera mini and put both files in a sparate file on my Mac. I have downloaded the latest desktop manager for mac. I attached the phone to the computer and opened desktop manager and Applications. I added the alx file and clicked installed and got no error message. But no Opera was installed on the phone. Now when I go into desktop manager and Applications. Opera Mini is in the list there, but when I check the box (to try to oress start again) it says that thare is not enough memory and that I should delete some files. I deleted GPS logger and facebook, but still the same message. Available file free is 20569300 Bytes.
Anyone else having problems using opera mini on their D900? When I launch it via Applications > Java World > Opera Mini, my phone just reboots itself and goes back to the samsung start up screen, then is normal again, but opera mini does not load.
Just wondering which browser transfer the lest data? I have a small amount of data on Rogers network atm, and need to know which will cost me the less. I try it myself today, it seem that BB browser transfer more Kb than opera mini in its mobile mode. And on opera's page it claim that it uses less data.
