BB (RIM) :: How To Disable BB Messenger
I need my data, so I can't shut off the data 'switch,' however I would like to get rid of/temporarily shut down BB Messenger. Any way to do this?

I would like to disable BB Messenger since I am going overseas and will not have the BB international package on my phone. Putting BBM on unavailable wont stop the data from being received because the hand held still gets the message, it just dosent alert you. Any ideas without uninstalling it? I don't want to loose my contacts.

BB Pearl 8110/20/30 :: Messenger - Adding Contacts Sends Me To Be Added At Own Messenger?
Another question- upgraded to 8110 last night...I'm trying to send requests to add my BB Messenger contacts, but each time I send one it send a request to my messenger. Saying that I want to be added to my own messenger, I deny and delete it each time... but I have no idea if my real contacts are getting the requests or not. I dont want to sit and call each person, as most of my messenger contacts are just people I talk to through the messenger. Plus, I've just sent the requests last night and my impatience it kicking in because they haven't accepted yet.So I'm just trying to nip it in the bud and see if they are even getting the requests.

BB 8830 WE :: Messenger History - Way To Get Messenger Conversation Logs
Okay I'll get straight to the point. This is my first time posting here; I was directed to this site by a friend. I believe my husband is having an affair via BB Messenger (well, the non-physical part), and am wondering if there is a way to get the messenger conversation logs somewhere. Carrier is Sprint, but, naturally, he is the primary on the account. Any help would be appreciated.

I was on another website (Crackberry) and there is rumor "Lucid" is coming over to blackberry. Apparently this is a universal data using messenger app; like BBM but across all carriers? Well that is not the question; however, in reading those comments - it became apparent, BBM is really awesome; yet, I am unsure why. I know it is instant messaging and what not - but why is this any better than email? I guess I don't really know what is all the hype of BBM. [please do not throw shoes].Am I missing something?

i have a brand new unlocked blackberry torch but for some reason i cannot use my bbm or any of the services associated with it. i contacted my carrier and everything that is suppose to be done is, but i still cannot use the bbm?

So there is Google talk, Yahoo messenger, and BB Messenger. It figures the one I need is for MSN messenger. Is a third party app like IM+ the only way to go? I would prefer to not use the browser based solution (MSN Live) because I prefer the way the conversations show up im my inbox (like Google talk).

So I'm betting this has already been asked a ton and I'm sorry. I live on the Telus forum here so I know what it's like to put up with the same question over and over again. My friend just got the $25/4mb plan with Rogers for data and he is mainly only using it for BB Messenger. Now, I've been messaging him a ton (and I have the $15/unlimited with telus so I've never paid attention to data usage) but how much data does BB Messenger use? Like could BB Messenger kill his 4mb VERY fast? Just doing short little text blurbs, no attachments.

I cannot get the BlackBerry Messenger to work on my Pearl 8110. I've tried repeatedly to get this thing working, but it just won't. Do I need some sort of e-mail plan or data plan to access it? I've tried adding my friend (who also has a Pearl 8110) and it won't work for her either. Help, please?

does anyone knows if there is any freeware available to use MSN messenger on E71? I've been using this on the past on my PDA's (usually free in Microsoft platforms) but now the Windows Live app that came with my E71 just worked for one month. Now it asks me for a license of 2€ per 30 days. Is this for real?
