BB Pearl 8100 :: How To Synchronize Phone To Desktop?
how do you do that? when i try it says the application is not connected to server, does that mean i need internt service or can i use the LAN on my computer?

BB Pearl 8100 :: PC / Desktop Manager Wont Recognize My Phone
So I tried downloading some software a month ago, not sure as to which was the right one, and it made it almost through the download when it said something went wrong and couldn't finish. Ever since then my comp won't recognize my blackberry and the desktop manager won't either. This means no recharging through my comp, sync etc.This wasn't a huge problem, I figured I would call and ask someone how to fix it. The big problem is over the last few weeks, buttons seem to have a mind of there own. I think it is mainly the ball since it will press itself all the time, sending multiple calls to the last person, hitting mute and unmute a thousand times while I am in the middle of the call. I need help, how can I fix the problem if it is a software problem when I can't even hook it up to my computer!Hopefully someone knows, since my phone is unusable right now and I need it daily for work.

BB Pearl 8100 :: Desktop Manager Attempt To Sync With Phone
I have Desktop Manager 4.70.37 installed. When I attempt to sync with my Pearl 8130 (which is recognized, I've been able to install 2 programs and backup the phone), I receive the following popup message: "[Synchronize] The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to initially configure synchronize settings. Please ensure that you are able to connect to the Internet and try again".I AM connected to the Internet. I'm typing this on the computer to which the 8130 is attached via USB, and with Desktop Manager running. I can find nothing in Desktop manager in which to change settings or anything. The other point is, I want to sync with Outlook 2000. I read elsewhere that this may be a big problem, if not unsurmountable.The 8130 has not yet been set up with my Verizon account. I'm planning on replacing my Palm Centro with this 8130, but have no intention of doing so until I can get the Pearl operating the way I want it. If that's impossible, that's it for me and Blackberry.

BB Pearl 8100 :: Sent Mail From Desktop Not Showing On Pearl
Mail sent via bt yahoo account from BB pearl 8110 shows up ok in the device sent box and on desktop sent box. However mail sent from bt account from the desktop, does show ok on desktop sent box but not as a BB pearl sent item. Essentially BB only shows items sent from the handheld, but I want it to show items sent from desktop as well.

BB Pearl 8100 :: Unable To Sync Calendar - Calendar Options Doesn't Have Synchronize Tab
I was looking at the manual for my specific bb 8100, it say i have the capability to sync calanda, task etc wirelessly, it even shows me how to do it, the problem is when i go to the calendar options it doesn't have the syncronize tab, am i missing something? i know my wireless is turned on and i can empty my deleted files folder from my phone, but for the life of me i can't get my calenda on my bb, even when using the desktop manager...

so i had DM downloaded adn everything but then my sister deleted it for some reason (stupid sisters! lol) anyways now everytime i go to download it again, it completely downloads onto my desktop but the .exe wont open and it says that it is only a part.. i dont understand why it wont download properly?

BB Pearl 8100 :: I Need A Desktop Manager Disk
I have a new custom built computer (no Brand name) moving in with me this weekend. I don't have the Disk to download Desktop manager for my 8100 (latest edition) . I do have a link provided by T-Mobil. I do however have a disk for the 8320 Curve, can I use this for the Pearl ? I would like to get a replacement disk. I seem to have options and I would like some suggestions. Current PC is out of order, using my work PC right now.
Also: how do I add a photo to my account?

I am unable to get the Desktop Manager Software to recognize the bluetooth connection to my BB. I cannot manage my media (music, etc) from my home PC because Roxio requires mass storage to be turned on, yet the settings on my phone do not allow me to change the mass storage setting (I assume this is imposed by my employer because I am using the BB for work).On my work PC, I was given a version of Desktop Manager that does not include Roxio. Instead, the manage media option within desktop manager provides a simple tool to move files between PC and BB. Tested and functioning well on my work PC.At home, Desktop Manager launches Roxio to manage media (and Roxio requrie mass storage = on). Is there a non-Roxio option for my home PC?

BB Pearl 8100 :: Running Desktop Manager But Stuck?
I am trying to run the Desktop Manager but I am stuck already. I dowloaded the Manager from RIM and that's about as far as I've gotten. I saw where I need to enable mass storage on my phone. How do I do that? I couldn't find much on it. Once I do that will a window pop up in my computer or do I need to go through my computer and open it as a new drive? Do I need to convert files that I want to download to my phone? ie..mp3's and such? I guess what I really need is a step-by-step for idiots guide to running Desktop Manager. If this matters I am running XP Pro on my home computer and my Peal 8100 is running OS v 4.2.067.

My wife received a text message from RIM stating that the firmware on her 8110 Red Pearl was in need of an upgrade to address problems in the 911 call location - (or something like that, the exact text is not available now.We downloaded the latest recommended Desktop Manager as per ATT's site - version 4.6 as well as the 8110's firmware v4.5, and installed both downloads to her laptop (XP with SP3 and fully patched). We proceeded to start Desktop Manager, plug connect the Pearl bought last June, which has worked perfectly. The desktop manager synched with outlook express and did a backup of all data.We saw the status that all applications and software was being erased.The new firmware began loading when we received a one line message similar to:Could not connect to device multi stage load failure.Google searches provided little help. Some indicated faluty USB connections but I think it's more related to the behavior that follows:The device now behaves identically to the posting by 'kaylus' earlier. Red light flashes on for aboug 3 seconds, off for 2-3 seconds.Resetting the battery did not help. Using the Alt-shift-delete sequence did not help,
When the battery is reconnected and the phone is turned on, the red message light flashes and no keys nor display lights up.ATT's support indicates that the phone's state non recoverable. Thank God for the insurance plan this time.When the light flashes and the phone is connected, the USB device indicator triggers on and off conicndent with the lights lfashing.With the battery out and the phone connected to the laptop, the light flashes in the same 3 secs on and 3 off pattern.

I've had my Pearl 8130 for about 3 months now, and everything was working fine until last week. Now, when I try to try to sync with my Outlook, the Desktop Manager gets to "Reading from MS Outlook Calendar," then I get a message that DM has encountered a problem and needs to close. No data goes through either way. When I view the Error Report I get the following message: Error Signature Event Type : BEX P1 : DesktopMgr.exe P2 : 220.127.116.11 P3 : 473889e9P4 : MsOutlookConnector.fil P5 : 18.104.22.168 P6 : 46ba4cec P7 : 0003835d P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000 when I look at the Error Report contents, its says:

BB Pearl 8100 :: How To Backup 2 Different Phones With Desktop Manager?
My wife and I each have a Blackberry phone. One is an 8100 the other is an 8200. I cannot figure out how to backup them both up on the same PC with Windows Vista. The Desktop Manager software does not seem to allow two different phones. I also have tried to install two different versions of Desktop Manager in different directories without success. How can I back them both up?

I just upgraded to DM 4.5 and every time I try to synchronize I get an error message:"The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to initially configure synchronization settings. I found no place to configure proxy settings in DM 4.5 and it appears to not be using the IE settings. How do I fix this problem?

The blackberry desktop manager version is 22.214.171.124 ,in the option of the synchronize ,I notice the choice synchronize moved messages of deleted messages between my computer an my device and the computer wins,when I delete the message which also be in my handheld from the outlook and synchronize the messages ,the message in my handheld is not been deleted,why?what can I do to make It work?

BB Pearl 8100 :: Reconciling - No Longer Recognizing When Read / Delete Email On Desktop
I recently changed from using my BB Pearl for work emails (OUtlook) to now using it only for personal Hotmail.For a few days it was fine reconciling, then 2 days ago it suddenly stopped.
I'm getting new emails through, but it's no longer recognising on the BB when i've read/deleted email on my desktop.I don't understand why this worked then suddenly didn't?
Have checked BIS and re-entered password etc.... email reconciliation settings on the BB look correct...
Can anyone help? it's so frustrating!Also why can't i download BB messenger from my BB? I get an error saying it does not meet system requirements needed to support BBM for software versions 4.0 and 4.1....
