I have just been given a Blackberry curve to use for work at my new job (the company provided it). The company email is already set up and my husband (I'm technologically challenged) set up my personal email as a separate icon. The problem is that whenever I click my company email icon, both my company and personal email messages show up (intermingled). Is there a way to separate them so I only see the emails I'm asking for?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn september I bought an 8330 curve. It worked great, and other than a few small things (not comfirming bbm contacts) it worked awesome, solid, never unstable. The screen started to have bubbles on the inside of it, so I took it in on warranty, and was given a new one AFTER I was sent home to make a backup. I get the new phone, came directly home and reloaded the backup. The next day, it started randomly rebooting. Even if it was just sitting there.
Sunday it shut off and when it tried to restart it just went to JVM error 102. If you reset it or did a hard reset it would always go to JVM error 102 when it tried to boot. I was out of town, and use my phone for work, so I was tickled pink, since its supposedly brand new.
Monday night they give me a new one AGAIN because nobody at the store can seem to fix it or figure it out. I go home, reload my data, wich is now a week old, and within a few hours it randomly starts rebooting agian. Then it wouldnt start, just flash the red LED, wich it did regardless of how many times I tried a hard restart. Eventualy this morning after 8 hours of flashing the red LED, I did a hard restart and it work.
I don't download apps. I use the phone, text, email, and I email pictures to my boss. Its the main reason i have a BB, so I dont get killed on MMS message charges, I just have unlimited email and I send the pics on email. The odd time I browse. And I don't do any of the things ppl talk about on crackberry where they are farting around doing things they arent supposed to and thier phone crashes. Any idea why my "new" curves keep doing this? 3rd one in 5 months, and 2 of them in the last week.
Apps? The ones that come on the phone from the factory. I live in terror that any thing else will brick my curve. I even talk nice to it.
I have multiple email addresses on my phone (Work, School (2), and Gmail). I have set my work email as the default under default services under advanced options. If I am in messages and I use the menu to compose a new email, the correct default email (work) is used.
However, if I am browsing my files, like a picture, and I use the menu to select send as email, it will attach it to a new email but it will be my Gmail address, not my default work address as the from address.
I have double checked and my work email is set as the default. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is not a battery pull problem either... It has been this was since I got the phone, and on my replacement as well. I reboot the phone often so its not the standard do a battery pull answer.
I recieved my 9650 this morning.I setup 2 email addresses (that actually were moved from my curve to my bold), and all of my emails are dumping into ONE folder i hate it. I liked on my curve how I had 2 distinct seperate email icons (boxes) that had work and personal.How do I setup my phone to have multiple icons for my multiple email accounts?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have contact list with records for a lot of people (300+), each with several phone numbers each, home, mobile & work, etc, .I can't seem to find a way to have the iPhone announce the name & number or name & type (home,mobile,work) of the caller from the contact list, my old cell phone could do that easily.
At the moment what I've been doing as a work around for a few (important) people is to create a custom ringtone for that caller & that phone number. Since it also seems there's no way to attach a different ringtones to each number in a single contact record I've had to create multiple contact records for each person, each with a different name/number combination such as "John Doe Work", "John Doe Home" or John Doe Mobile" then assign to it the custom ringtone I created for that name/number.
I need to this so that if I receive a call while I'm driving (or whatever) that I can't answer right then for some reason (often happens), the ringtone I created for that name & number helpfully lets me know who & where their calling from. It's very important to know where someone is calling from, if someone's calling from home then I know I've got some time, but if their calling from work then I need to get back to them quickly.
having to make multiple contacts & ringtones for a every person with multiple numbers is a extraordinary waste of time. My old cell phone could do this with no problem but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with my new iphone.

I've got a Curve 9360, running 7.1 with T-Mobile service. Whenever I receive a text message that's been sent to multiple recipients, I can't see anyone else on the recipient list, so unless I can figure it out from the message, I have no idea it's been sent to more than just me.
No problems originating and sending a text to multiple people, though, it's just when I receive texts. Additionally, if I respond to a multiple-recipient text, I'm pretty sure it's only going to the sender. Very frustrating, especially since with my old Curve 8320, I had no problems knowing when I was on a mass text, and could reply to all if I wanted. No such luck here.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Curve 8330 with Verizon. I have v4.5.0.175 of the BB software.I have five email accounts setup on the BB. All are working OK. One of the five has a calendar associated with it. It’s a Gmail account with a Google Calendar. None of the other four email accounts has any type of calendar associated with it but apparently my BB thinks all of them do.
I use Google’s sync application to sync my BB with my Google Calendar. That works OK most of the time. However, occasionally things get flakey. Events on my Google Calendar show up on my BB as if they were from another calendar - a calendar associated with one of my other email addresses. But no such other calendars actually exist.
When I go into calendar options on my BB it lists five different calendars - one for each of my email addresses. When I go into Select Calendar on my BB it also lists the same five calendars. Again, only one calendar actually exists. So, how do I tell my BB that four of my five email addresses have no calendar (and never have)? How can I delete those four imaginary calendars from my BB so that nothing can possibly go to them?
I have a curve 8530 and bbm 5.0.057. my friends can send voice notes to multiple contacts at one time but I dont have the option in my bbm menu.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOnly now are they not syncing up with my computer view of my email account. I tried disabiling and reenabiling the settings with no luck. I also keep getting the same few emails multiple times- like 12 times, each with a half hour in between. I thought this was a security issue with my email account so I changed my password, but no such luck. I attempted to find a way to contact Gmail and Blackberry directly, thinking it might be a problem on their ends, but I failed at finding a way to communicate with a Gmail or a Blackberry rep directly.

For instance, I will get as many as five or six copies of the exact same message within a few minutes of each other. The people who are texting me are only sending the message once, so I assumed the problem was on my end. I reset the phone about three times per week, but the problem does not improve or get worse. My existing email accounts were initially copied from a previos Blackberry (Bold 9000), but when I attempt to add an additional one, the only option I get is "Create a new email address' (the Blackberry one).
My service provider confirms to me that this is not due to them.The problem was there with OS7.0 and remains with 7.1.

I went from a 7290 to a 8320 and when I went to use the 8320 it stared throughting multiple Uncaught Excaption: ApplicationRegistery.waitfor and Java.Lang.Error. The phone does not like to talk to the computer throuht the usb hook-up link to sync. This Phone is not going to be used for internet access through my Cellular service, wich is AT@T. The Phone was bought unlocked because I use the office features and I want to use the WI/Fi.The Phone was origionally a TMobile.The opperating System on the phone is : v4.5.0.37 Platform 2.7.0.55 The origonal Desktop softwear used was version 4.6 I believe, I now have Version 5.0 installed. I do not hve the origional software disk for the phone. I have gone through several blogs and found some problem that were close but wanted to make sure I didnt blast the phone. I would like to get this phone to function correctly so I can keep my work straight.
