BB Curve :: Can't Install Hebrew Language On It
May 26, 2012I got from the US Curve 8520 that has been used in At&t I am from Israel and I have Orange Israel Sim card (partner company) I only have English language installed on my device and I know there's Hebrew support for this phone. I searched the web for solution and installed the latest desktop application ( I have both Mac and windows machines and I installed both) I also downloaded the right multilingual file for the desktop, when I go to application I don't have the option to install new language.

Aug 9, 2011I took my phone into sprint it wouldn't send pictures on text don't ask me why. they did a re-install on it. and now I can't get pandora to work. it downloads but isn't in my downloads folder. I downloaded it like 5 times and no icon. I did a search and found something in the same folder as my sprint navigation is downloaded but no way to get it to work there. Facebook does work. I tried blackberry app world and don't know where that went either. I don't know. WTF did they do. last time it just installed and worked.

It gives me another installing progress bar that reaches half way through then says "Unable to connect to the Internet, check your settings" although I have a BB internet connection that's always on. Aug 5, 2010I have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.

May 11, 2010Im 8900 owner, and im using Hebrew language and running 4.6.1.199 OS.When i got the BB (running Hebrew) the keyboard shortcuts ("R" to reply, "T" for top, etc) worked well, and after a while its just stopped to work.
I tried battery pull, doesnt help.With English the shortcuts works fine, but sometimes after reboot it stop working and then im changeing the language to another>then back to English again and the shortcuts back. (it doesnt work for Hebrew).Anyone can think about something i can do to make the shortcuts work on Hebrew again?

Feb 20, 2010Driving me crazy. I don't get an incoming call ring (most of the time) or incoming call log ever but can make calls. I can't open text message center even though my text icon shows I have texts. Can't open message center although icon shows messages. Getting screen message "Uncaught exception: java.lang.Null PointerException". This phone was working fine I don't know what happened. I have reinstalled the battery. I think I should do a back up and re install the operating system but not sure really what to do.

Jul 16, 2010I just downloaded the new OS when I plugged my phone to the computer... it sounded like a good idea to upgrade everything but I do not like how the UNlock function is only through the mute button now. I mean, if I wanted to just lock/unlock my phone that way with the push of only one button, I could use the standby (mute) button and press on it again to unlock it before. I really liked the previous version where you had to take the extra step of pushing two buttons (A and Send) to unlock it. Because I unlock my phone by accident a lot when it's in my purse and I reach for something and accidentally press the top button (mute button). Any ideas if Blackberry is planning on a new OS version soon that would restore the old locking/unlocking system? I do not necessarily want to downgrade to a previous OS version but I might have to as the "easy" one-button only unlocking option is not working for me.

Jul 27, 2010I updated my phone the other day with the v5.0.0.734 OS. It wiped out everything. I had to go back and restore my contacts, reload ringtones and apps, etc. Got everything back the way it was now.
I have three email accounts synced to it. All are active, Wi-fi on, network on. New mail isn't showing up on my handset, only from my gmail account, the hotmails aren't showing up. Used to be you could look in the folder for each email account and see what emails were there, then there was one folder that showed all of them. What am I missing?

May 10, 2010I'm gettin sick n tired of this trackball on the 8330, I recently had to fix it cause it would only go up... so onto a new Blackberry! Can anyone give me some input about the 8530? I hear the camera has no flash , is that true? How is that supposed to be an upgrade!? Anything else I should know that's different between the two, aside from the obvious?
