My first T-mobile curve went back 1 day later. During that time it rebooted itself 50 times. Obviously defective. The second one did not reboot, but the right side button was almost impossible to push. Sent it back and got a warranty exchange. The third curve works well 95% of the time. But, a couple of times a week, it will reboot itself during a phone call. It does not do this any other time (unlike curve number 1). This is extremely annoying. I had high hopes that the new operating system would fix it, but no such luck. It still does it. Searching for "curve reboot call" on google gets a LOT of hits. So, it is clear that I am not alone in this. I have read everything that I can find on the various forums, but no one seems to have a definitive cause or cure. I have tried removing the memory card, reformatting the memory card, replacing the SIM, rebooting the device manually, obsessively checking the free memory (no problem there, I have 20 or so free), swapping the battery, etc, etc... and it still does it.

It seems to always happen in the first minute of the call. It happens while connected to EDGE and to UMA. I am not going to downgrade and/or wipe the device since there are ample messages from people who have tried this and I have yet to hear that it worked. Plus, it was doing it before the OS upgrade so I have no reason to suspect this.I called T-mobile and they claim that they have never heard of such a thing, which is doubtful. This weekend, I reformatted the memory card again. Next time it reboots, I will call and ask for curve number 4.
