Samsung :: Blackjack - Alternative Browsers?
A couple of the sites I'm trying to access (especially forums) are no-workie for me on my BJ.  If this were a desktop problem I would try different browsers to troubleshoot the problem.  I haven't found a version of FireFox for the BJ though. So my question is, what other browsers (besides IE) are available on the BJ and what kind of luck have people had with them? Has anyone found a version of FireFox for the BJ?

Nokia 5800 :: List Of Alternative Web Browsers?
Does anyone have a list of alternative web browsers for the 5800xm. I'm fed up with it crashing every 5 minutes. I've tried Opera Mini, and whilst it's stable, and really pretty. Some pages just don't display correctly. Trying to watch BBC TV Simulcast with Opera, and it doesn't recognise something possibly the country.

BB Bold 9000 :: How To Set Browsers On Phone
Just signed up with the unlimited data plan to experience the much talked about 3G network. Anyways, I used to run my browser on Hotspot wifi and it was pretty fast. When I switched over to internet or media net things seemed to slow down and got stuck at times loading pages. My question is, how do you set your option to make these browsers run faster. Sometimes I'm out of the wifi area and have no choice but to access the data network. It can be a pain with the speed and all. Maybe I'm not setting up my browsers correctly. I'm also running opera mini and it seems not to work without the wifi being turned on.

BB Bold 9000 :: Best Alternative To BB Alert
:First off I searched the forum and found nothing on this app..So let me begin..I’ve read a lot of complains with bbalerts not working correct on our Bolds ..Whether the sms led didn’t work or email led...ect..ECT.. I was looking for a app to purchase since I had a 20% discount in mobi hand and I came across (BerryBuzz) first off its half the price of bbalerts and it has the same features minus the pop alert and logging of alerts..Its top feature is that everything is separated meaning..You can set your blackberry email to red and your Gmail to blue ..It has a lot of options for different settings...I purchased it this morning and has been working flawlessly..I tested it with Peekawho, Message Peek, and Aerize..(It worked Fine)..Hope the people complaining about bbalerts will pick this app up from the store..

BB Bold 9000 :: Why Does Bold Have Multiple Browsers?
I've read the user manual, but I'm still wondering why the Bold has Internet / Hotspot / Planet 3 (I'm on 3 Australia) browsers.The manual give situations for each one, but surely one would be enough. Apart from being unable to change the homepage for the Planey 3 browser I can't see any difference.Also, what is the use of the broswer identification option (IE, Firefox etc.). I couldn't find this in the manual.

BB Bold 9000 :: Email Account Alternative To Gmail Tip-GMX
I really like a lot about gmail but when I was looking for a new email account to put on my Bold, I wasn't too excited about having an address with numbers at the end, being that there aren't many gmail accounts left where you can use just your name. Most of the Euros on the board likely already know about this but, there is a German free email provider called GMX that is now venturing into North America. GMX - Free E-Mail - Webmail & POP3, IMAP..Its still in beta but not a bad set up, at all, especially to use as a BlackBerry only account. You get 5 gigs of storage, 1 gig of file storage. The SPAM filtering is probably only 2nd to Gmail's. You can create 10 email addresses with them that all send to the same main email address, and you can set it up to read all your other email addresses (yahoo, gmail, etc.) through a separate folder in the pc interface.

When you set up your gmx email address in the BIS, it automatically configures in in IMAP. My emails are pushing to my device in about 10 seconds or less. What's really great is that all emails sent from your BB get saved in the pc version's "Sent" folder, without setting up any filters. Totally automatic.
Best of all, IMO, is that I was able to get the first letter of my first name and my full last name as the address, with both the gmx.com and gmx.us suffix, no extra letters or numbers. Compared to Yahoo! or aol.com, I find the gmx suffix a bit more business-like. There is no calendar or contact sync with BB, so I'm still using Google sync for that, but all in all not a bad choice. I have no affiliation with them. Just passing along a tip.

BB Bold 9000 :: Why Cant Rim Develop A Bold 9xxx With The Body Of Bold 9000
Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.

Samsung :: Blackjack - Browsers
I don't like IE.  I don't use it on my PC (unless I have to) and feel the same about IE on the Blackjack. I've used Opera for quite a while, but my install suddenly expired (I don't remember getting a trial version, but I know I didn't pay for it either). I was pretty happy with Opera, but it looks like the latest version goes for $60.  That's a lot for a mobile browser. I wish there were a Firefox for WM5, but I don't think there is. So what other browsers are out there?  What do you like about yours?  What (if anytyhing) did you pay for it?

Samsung :: Mythic - Browsers
Why are there two different web browsers on the Mythic? One has the easy shortcut to access it the other you have to go through menus to get to it. The one you have to search for seems a little better than the main one in the one thing it does automatically is switch to landscape mode when you turn the phone sideways.

BB Pearl 8110/20/30 :: Do I Really Need Two Browsers?
I have over 15 apps and about 10 themes now and every time I say "that is it....Not gonna grab another app...I have enough" I end up finding something else that I need to have! LOL But I am looking for other ways to keep my memory ok. I can stay at 15 most of the time but would like to stay there. I don't mind doing a quick pull occassionally but I don't think that should become a way of life for me!!! I have the BB browser and MediaNet (ATT) browser right now. I was wondering....do I really NEED to keep both? I tend to use the BB one almost always. Any ideas why I would need 2? If not I am probably going to try and get rid of one if it's even possible I don't know. But I was basically just thinking for my memory sake to get rid of one since it's barely ever used. What to you all think?

BB Bold 9000 :: After Seeing Pictures Of The Bold 9700 / Like The Original Bold 9000
I have to say that, after seeing pictures of the Bold 9700, I like the original Bold 9000 better. I admit that I am basing this strictly on pictures and not on physically comparing the two devices, but I don't like the look of the Onyx as much as I love the look of the Bold 9000. Does anyone else feel this way?

Samsung :: Ace Does Not Support Flash / Javascript In Any Browsers
I am a bit picky about how well my phones operate but the Samsung Ace has been a bit of a disappointment. I received it yesterday and have been playing with it constantly ever since. However, a few things I do not enjoy at all.Firstly, it does not support Flash/ JavaScript in any browsers I've tried (IE/Opera/Minimo). Secondly, it's horribly unresponsive, sluggish and slow compared to a cheaper phone like the M520 - this probably has to with 1) the Intel processor and 2) Windows being poorly optimized.

But it's annoying and unbearable; I've used the M520 and love the speed that everything responds with but the ACE is a terrible disappointment in that field. Otherwise, the quality is quite good but unfortunately the issues I'm having are not exactly of small proportions to me so I'd like to know if anyone has suggestions. I can get the Motorola Q9c probably by returning my current ACE for full refund and just buying the Q9c separately for something like $150. Any suggestions or comments because I wouldn't mind better performance as that is my main issue; the keypad is nice though.

BB Pearl 8100 :: Multiple Media Mall Browsers
How in the heck do I get rid of those stupid media mall browsers? I had them on my old OS and was able to get rid of them by deleting them out of the service books.I upgraded my OS about two months ago, but haven't had a problem with them. Then, today on a whim, I uploaded the new version of facebook. Now, I've got like 5 or 6 media mall browsers and a stupid yellow pages thing.I've gone into service books and deleted them, multiple times. I've done a battery pull.I've come close to throwing the damned thing across the room. I don't want those stupid media mall browsers on my phone! Hiding them isn't a solution for me either, as I do actually show my apps once in a while, and it slows the process down considerably.
