My wife has a bold and there is an icon that shows up when she is on a call and I have searched and searched for what it means, but I can't seem to find it. It is in the upper right and is a pretty good sized rectangle with a series of what look like diamonds diagonally across it. She says it has not always been there. Any idea what it means?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900.† I keep getting a very small green icon with a number next to it on the left side of the time on the home page.† The only way I can get rid of it is to power the phone off and then when I power it up, the icon is gone.† When I receive what ever comes with the icon, the red notification light flashes.† I can not find anyway to click on the icon or what it relates to in my menu.† Any suggestions?
I have an original BB9000 Bold from T-mobile Netherlands. Everything still OEM, nothing not original. Tonight I'm on internet thru Wifi.Suddenly the device freezes and the small clock icon appears (not movin' though). After a few minutes waiting if the device will get itself out of this condition i decide to pull the battery. Wait a little and put it back in. Red led lights up, goes out and the screen lights up, with the clock, moving this time. Screen dies again and red led lights up again. Goes out again and screen lights up with that little clock again. Dies again, red led. .Screen. Led. Screen. Led. Screen. Led. Etc, etc.
I have an icon which is the number 1, next to what looks like a blue speech bubble with 4 white dots in it, and a red star at the top right. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is and how I can get rid of it?
Just got a storm 9500, read everything i can about it but a icon has appeared that I canít find anywhere and its bugging me. It looks like a small blue peach bubble on the top of the screen just under the date and a number next to it, i get that itís not the new message icon, it seems to be a counter of some kind I think, I cleared all the messages i can find but itís still there! Any help would be appreciated!
I have an icon near the top of my home screen next to where the new text and email icons appear. I've never seen it before. It is an arrow pointing down to the left inside of a circle with the tiniest little red new message alert on it. Can someone tell me what this is?
I've had multiple bb's In my time and I've had my bold for about a month (at&t) and on my home screen there's mini, yellow browser icon w/ a " 1 " in front of it likes its telling me I have one browser message? Can anyone give me a hand w/ this, I've been thinking about it for days now
Can someone tell me what a little blue icon at the top of my desktop means looks like the blackberry logo within a cartoon dialog with a little yellow dot.†It's kind of like when I have an app that needs an update but this one is blue.†I've looked in the appworld to see if anything is notifying me and found nothing.†Had a few updates last week and took care of them but the little blue icon never left. Have had the Bold for over a year and have never seen this.
I have an unusual icon appeared on my homescreen for the first time, and I don't know how to clear it.† My email icon, which is a transparent envelope, now has a small orange envelope inside it.† I have no emails waiting, in fact I have cleared the inbox to be sure.†I have consulted the icons PDF doc on the BB site but that doesn't list it. I have tried a re-boot.
A new icon appeared on my screen today. It looks like a roll of film with a "2" preceding it. I have searched every manual & support but no mention of this. Anyone know what this icon represents? How do I access the content it is notifying me of? It looks like this: 0__0 Message Edited by scottw2 on 03-18-2009 12:45 PM
The other day i noticed there is a weird little icon showing up on my home screen right beside where my message icon is, it looks like a little yellow circle or sphere with a white coloured grid over it, if anyone could please tell me what the heck it is get back to me!
I've had this icon on my blackberry for a while and I donít know what it means, brought it into my service provider tech support (Rogers) and no one there knew what it meant either. Anyone here know? its the icon on the top left beside the profile option
There is a golden pouch (maybe an envelope with a strap around the bottom) that appeared at the bottom of the email icon. Can't find it anywhere in the documentation and can't figure out what it is when I select the email envelope it does not indicate anything different.†
I have an unknown Indicator icon on my home screen, I thought it was for the blackberry app world updates but everything is current there. It looks like a circle with a downward arrow in it pointing to the left. It also has a red asterisk. There also is the number three beside it.
was wondering if anyone has had or knows what the following indicator is?it only happens when i am placing a call and on it.†it shows up just next to the volume indicator. Its a larger rectangle with 5 diamonds going diagonally across it.
I have the 9530 Storm. and I'm hoping someone on CB can tell me what the rectangle box with the 5 stars in it that appears on the screen just below the volume scale. when you have an active call in progress is for? I can't figure out what that symbol is for.
I just bought the Blackberry Bold, and I suddently have this symbol on the front screen of a yellow slanted envelope, that has a small red box in the top right corner with a white star inside. Beside this, is the number 3. I know it isn't messages, because I checked my messages and I only have 2, which I have opened.
I have a Pearl 8130 and there is this icon when I am talking to someone that I don't know what it means. It is a rectangle, cut diagonally by what looks like little white stars. The top half is black, the bottom half is blue. What is this icon for?
My Blackberry Bold shows the small letters CM over the battery icon when the charger is connected but it will not charge. I've tried removing the battery putting it back in, I've tried 3 chargers, but the battery just continued to drain until it finally went into red. I've been "googling" all day and cannot find any reference to what I'm seeing.
whats the difference between the 3G fluctuating between big and small? Is it like EDGE and edge or it something different on the new 3G handsets? I thought the BB logo was what meant it was connected to the BB network. Any input? Im running the new 9700 OS that was released today and 3G seems better but I noticed its changing alot.
I've searched the forums and found all sorts of useful information on clearing voicemail icons from the front screen, but cannot find out what the tiny globe icon is how to get rid of it how it got created in the first place. Just to be clear - at the top of my screen where all the other notification icons come in (facebook, email etc.) there is a figure "1" followed by what looks like a small yellow globe. It's like the browser icon in the menu. Damned if I know what it refers to or how to get rid of the bloody thing.
On my Homescreen Instead of 3G/GPRS/EDGE it gives me edge/3g/gprs Which means that BIS isnt activated on my account.I cannot access my Email or Browser because the BIS is not activated,I called my Carrier "Etisalat" Customer support nearly 20 times, And Everytime they Ask me to remove the battery and re-plug! Last time i checked they told me that in their systems it appeared my blackberry's BIS was indeed activated, But on my BB it was still edge, So I think the problem might be from the BB/Sim Card.I have been having this problem 2 months now and I would really appreciate your help.FYI i have tried all these steps(but didn't work):
All at once, I am getting a small clock face that pops up with the hands of the clock turning. When it pops up, I cannot do anything until it disappears. It has slowed me down tremendously and has just started doing this after have had my Bold for over four months. What does it mean and how do I get rid of it?
I have been into options in the browser on my Bold to increase the font size when I am on a web page, but it makes no difference what I set it as - it is always teeny tiny font wherever I go. I can read it, and the z button works wonders, but why is it so small? I mean, really small, like 4 pt.Can I not set it up differently? And what is that browser option for if it doesn't affect the size of the font I see?
I've checked other posts & not found this one described. It sits to the right of the yellow envelope showing incoming emails.†It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty. No RIM messages either. No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.
iv looked on all the help pages but cany seem to find what this item is, it appeard last night after trying to send a message, it looks like a red†clock on a white background does this mean message watiing? as i dont seem to beable to send any out but im reciving fine should i contact my network?
Alright, I've had this 9700 since the first week it's came out and I have never seen this icon before. It is a solid blue chat bubble (not the bbm chat bubble blue but a lighter one) I have no idea what this is, i have gone to my messages, my sms and deleted everything, this thing just popped up today. I have tried a battery pull among other things and have no idea what this is. Once again, it is a solid blue chat bubble (no white dots or red or anything near it) and the number is to the right of the blue icon.
I've got this icon that I don't recall seeing when I originally purchased my phone. When dialing a number, there's a rectangle with diagonal stars(?) from left to right. This symbol is left of the speaker and volume icons.Does anyone know what this represents?
When I am on a call, and I am not using speaker phone, there is a small icon that appears next to the volume guage. It is a small box, one half is black, the other half is blue, there is a while line diagonally through the middle. I am using a Verizon 8330, with the strock zen theme, .138 OS. Any ideas?
New Blackberry owner here, and I have a question: I have the 8330 (Sprint) and there is an icon, right under the time, that looks like a bullseye and what looks like a small volume icon. But the icon does not change when I push the volume buttons on the side. The manual does not have this icon listed.
This is not the Bluetooth icon, but is right next to it if I have Bluetooth on. Also, I keep trying to download Yahoo messenger, and it says my session has expired. Any idea how to remedy this?
I upgraded my BB curve to the Bold 2 days ago and didn't have this problem until then. When making a call from my BB Bold to a LAN line that doesn't accept blocked calls I get this message, "the number you are calling doesn't accept unidentified calls, blah...blah...blah...please enter your 10 digit number. After I enter my 10 digit number I am connected. On LAN lines that accepts blocked calls my number shows up but my name is Unknown. Before I attempted to call AT&T for help I made sure that the "Restrict My Identity" under the general options in the phone option was set properly. It was. So I called AT&T for help. They had me check that option again and even had me do a master reboot. Still nothing. They told me that it was probably with the phone and to return it. At the store we took my sim card out and put in a new bold and still the same message. So they gave me a new sim card and guess what...same message. I even had the sales rep call my LAN line phone from his BB Bold and he got the same message. The weird thing is, if I take my sim card and put it back in my curve, I am able to make calls to LAN lines and my identity isn't blocked. This makes me believe that there is a problem with the Bold.I'll go in another direction...*82 allows you unblock your number if you are calling from a private number. When I dial *82 and then my LAN line number I still get the same message.Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have advice for me? Every time I call my home number I don't want to enter in my 10 digit number.
