BB Bold 9000 :: Separate Notifiers On Email Accounts
Sep 11, 2009
I moved from a BlackBerry Curbe to a BlackBerry Bold recently, and am having trouble setting up separate notifiers/tones for each email account. Works fine for sms texts etx and anything else on the phone. However, when I establish a specific notifier tone for one email account, it automatically changes the other email account notifier tones to the same one !! Is there something I'm missing, or is this normal for the Bold ? I find it useful to have separate sounds/notifiers for each email account and rather liked that feature !
I have 4 individual email accounts on my blackberry bold 9650, all 4 accounts show up under one email Icon on the phone, they used to be under separate icons, before I changed batteries. How can I get three mails under separate icons.
I'm a new BB user. Only got the 8330 for work, but I am impressed on how solid this is compared to the iPhone I have at home. And can we say, "configurable"? I'm wondering how to set up two distinct email accounts on the device. Work set up the standard BES account, but I also set up a separate Google Email account through BIS. Yet, all messages that come in to the Google Account show up both in the message list of my work (BES) account and in the Google account. How do I get it so that Google Email stays on the Google email option and work (BES)-enabled email stays there? I want to be able to go into each email option from the main menu and see only the messages I have set up in that account. Further, can I make the Google account IMAP-enabled to sync on the BB?
I've been searching all over the various forums and Google for the last two days and can't find an answer (other than the wrong answer) to this issue. I just came over to BB (Tour) from three Palm devices in a row so I really hope there is a solution. I have several POP3 email accounts that I can forward to my email@example.com account and they push just fine. The problem is that it only seems possible to define one reply-to email address using BIS that would apply to all of the pushed accounts. This is such a basic and obvious limitation, I have to believe that I'm missing something.
When I reply to a pushed email, I want the reply to appear to come from the account that forwarded/pushed the email to me. How can this be set up? Is the only solution to use a POP email client on the BB? If so, which one is good?
I'm a new user and only have one of my email accounts being "pushed" to my BB Curve 8330; my Yahoo. If I were to want to add a Hotmail account, or another account, would this all be pushed into the SAME folder and all be together, or does it create an icon for each email address? I'd like to get them all pushed to my phone, however, I don't want them all bunched together into one icon, or folder. Can someone tell me how this works? I don't want to screw something up by trying it without knowing how it's going to work.
I have two accounts set up on the BB curve. One is the primary business mail using the company's own BB server, the second is a personal account from cox communications. The curve lists two accounts, the private account keeps all the personal emails in it, but all my personal emails are included in the business or main account. Is there a way to keep them separate?
How do I separate the various different email accounts and text messages. At present the blackberry combines everything under messages. The only solution that I have read about is getting a theme that separates various accounts...but have not been able to locate such a theme.
Does any one know of a fix for separating various email account and text?
I set up my yahoo email account on my blackberry and thank goodness there is a separate folder for that. Additionally there is the general inbox that shows all email (from yahoo and my work email). However, I don't have a folder that shows my work email only...HOW DO I SET UP A SEPARATE FOLDER FOR THAT?
I checked the move, hide, etc. and there are no icons hidden.
I just got my BB 8330 Curve from Sprint, and set configured three eMail accounts. The problem is that the accounts all share a single Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, etc. This is extremely confusing since one of the accounts is for work, one is personal, and one is for my family. Can someone please point me to information on how to re-do my BIS configuration so that each eMail account is separated from the others, and each has its own set of folders?
I have two separate email accounts that use the same outgoing server -- mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com. I can seemingly use only one to send emails (receiving mail is not a problem), because whichever user name and password I input under the outgoing mail server settings automatically transfers to the other account's settings, rendering one useless for sending mail.
I have a Bold 9000. It's a business handset and we are on a BES. I have added my personal Yahoo email to it and I now have 2 mail icons - one for Messages and the other for Yahoo. When I get an email on my yahoo email address it also appears in my main messages email box as well. I want to keep the 2 sets of emails separate so that it is 100% clear what is business and what is personal (Yahoo).I know it must be possible to keep them in separate mailboxes but cannot for the life of me work out how.
I received both my personal email and enterprise email on my Blackberry. Currently the messages icon is a combination of the 2 accounts, while I have an independent icon for the internet email account. How can I create an icon that will only contain my enterprise email account?
I have the Blackberry Storm 9350.I have 2 e-mail accounts on my Storm, gmail and my work Exchange/Outlook account. Both my work e-mail and my gmail email are dumping into the Messages folder and my gmail e-mail is also dumping into it's own folder.I don't want my gmail and work e-mail to both dump into the Messages folder. How do I separate them?I use the Blackberry Internet Service for gmail and I use the Desktop Re Director for my work account.
I have 2 email accounts on my 8320: one is a vpn for work and the other is gmail for personal and to take oversized files that my work server can't handle.
i have successfully set up botht of the email accounts and am receiving messages. the problem is that i am receiving personal gmail messages into my work account. i have tried deleting the gmail account and readdding it, but the same thing happens each time.
I've got a new Blackberry Torch 9800 that was issued to me by my company. Needless to say it has my company email account on it and I've also just added my personal email account to it as well. In the 3 weeks since I first got the phone I've had only the corporate email account active and have thus become dependent on the New Message notifier icon at the top of the home screen.
When I see 1 or more new messages I no longer have any idea if it is a work email or a personal one. Any way to change the notifier icon for my personal email account so at a glance I can see how many items I have for either account. I know I could just turn off the notifier function for the personal account which would remove it from that notification area, but I'd really prefer not to do that, I just want some ability to tell the two apart at a glance.
my blackberry.att.net email address has always worked, but just recently I decided to put my gmail accounts on my device.I added my secondary, lower volume account first with no problem. Then I added my main gmail account, with no problem. However, when my main account receives an email, it won't go to my device. My secondary gmail account gets email perfectly on my phone, just not my main one. They were both setup the same way, I don't see what's wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
Is there a way I can combine all the email accounts on my BlackBerry into the "Messages" icon? I successfully did this a couple weeks ago with one email account by going to its options and selecting "SMS and Email Inboxes - Combined", but since adding two additional email accounts to my phone yesterday, and even after selecting that option again, they fail to combine into my "Messages" icon..Ultimately, I'm trying to have all of my email accounts under that one icon instead of having an icon for each account cluttering up my phone.
i was wondering if i should be recieving txt messages in my "message" folder. currently i have both of my email accounts showing up in it, and facebook message, but not txts, which only go into the txt folder. (the email accounts also have their message boxes) Is this default behaviour, and is there any way of changing it to specify what to be in the message folder?
I have multiple iphones and I touches and they are all sharing contacts and music with each other. I know there is a simple way to fix this but I cant figure it out. Must we all get separate iTunes accounts and icloud accounts?
I am having a problem with my BB curve 8310. All notifiers were working for SMS & Email but I changed the theme and now they do not work at all.I went to Profiles, Advanced, and when I try to edit SMS and/or email it will not open and let me do anything. It is as though that total section is frozen/locked somehow. I can access the Phone section and can make a change in ringtone. On another theme, all SMS and Emails were working BUT the phone option was not working.
I have two iPhone mine and my sons, we both have iTunes account ID's on the same pc. so how do i keep my iPhone separate from his apps, music, podcasts, when i sync. he has different styles in music and stuff. so when i hook up my iphone and sign ito itunes i see all of his apps he has a lot more than i do. I thought that having a different log in id's meant that if i sign into itunes with my id that itunes would only show the apps and music that i have used or downloaded to itunes. but the last time i did this it had all of the apps and podcasts that my son downloaded even though it was my ID. Is there a way I can setup my device to only display my Enterprise emails separately from my personal emails? My personal emails already all have separate icons to select to view just the messages associated with those accounts respectively, but the main Mail icon displays all emails, personal and enterprise, when selected. It seems to me I found a way to do this on my Pearl a couple of years ago, so I feel like I am missing a setting somewhere.
I have 2 iPhone 4's, 1 is my personal phone, the other is my business phone, I want 2 different iCloud accounts, but both syncing to 1 computer, just so I can keep my personal and business life separate.
I am new to the 9930 (through Verizon). I used to have the older Blackberry Bold (through T-Mobile) and all I had to do was click on "Messages" on top.view the previews and then the notifiers would go away. Did this change with the 9930? Is it the new software? Will I always have to do that "Mark Prior Read" trick in order to clear them?
I just recently switched from a Bold 9000 (ATT, OS 5) to a Bold 9700 (ATT OS 5).On the Bold 9000, I had 2 separate icons for my email. One was "Desktop" (the email from the BES) and one was "Personal" (my gmail account). There was also an option in the email settings to determine which emails showed up in the "Messages" view as well and you could have personal, work or both show up there. Now I can't seem to find this option in the 9700.
