I bought and used this Blackberry new in South Korea with SK Telecom, never any issues.but now im back in the US and am wanting to unlock and use it here.the only problem is that i cant find the IMEI number anywhere.when i try *#06# it comes up and says "unsupported file"and options> status shows only: signal battery file free PIN IP address now there IS a white sticker under the battery with a barcode and appears to be 15 digits long, BUT it has a few letters mixed with the numers and something tells me thats not it?
I have a Bold 9000 with AT&T service. The phone was given to me by a friend that works at AT&T about a year ago.I had noticed that AT&T was offering visual voicemail for bold users and tried to set it up. After talking with them on the phone, they advised that the IMEI # was coming up as a Pearl and that the Pearl was not compatible with the service.Any ideas on a workaround or any additional info that might help me get it set up?
I marked down the product code at the back of the phone before I send my N97 to Nokia Care Centre, but after I got back my phone, the IMEI number still the same, but product code at the back of my phone already change, is that possible? product code changed but same IMEI after send to Care Centre.
I just received 2 mails from topsony, saying they unlock all kinds of Sony Ericsson with any kind of CID, unlock via IMEI, for 25 euros. Can anybody put hands on these? It says u don't need cable, only the IMEI. It should be like an IMEI generator. http://www.topsony.com/forum/unlock_imei.php ckeck it out.
I was recently trying to unlock my brother's Curve 8310, it's locked to rogers. I found a guy to unlock it on craigslist but he couldn't find a code and the same happened with a ebay seller(with 16000 positive feedbacks) by giving them the IMEI.The ebay seller told me "The only alternative we have to unlock your phone is through our manufacturer method which will cost an additional $25 and it will take about 4-7 days before we receive your code". My brother is going overseas on Dec 9th so time is crucial. Are there any other sites which offer this service? I'm a bit nervous about paying an additional $25 outside of ebay. What if no code is available and i get yanked around dealing with the refund. I intially payed ~18 CAD via paypal.
I have a W850 which is locked to Orange. How do I get the code to unlock the phone from Orange. Is there a website where the code will be generated based on the IMEI or how do I proceed with this. I searched for it on their webpage but found none information that I could utilize.

My bold refuses to start up, the red led flashes once, then pauses and then flashes four times and repeats. Anyone have any idea what that means? I've tried the instructions on how to restore a nuked berry... But the computer wont connect to it.
I recently bought a Nokia 6630 and it doesnt work as it shows Invalid IMEI.then the question is how can I change My 6630 IMEI and if it is possible how to do this. Was this post helpful? If so, please click on the "Kudos!" star to the right.
Is there any way to change the IMEI on a CU series phone, particularly a 575? Is this done during an unlock or can it be done by itself? Do you get to pick the imei you can change to (to preserve phone model and UMTS capability)
Is it possible to change the IMEI of an iphone using ziphone? The earlier versions made it sound like it was possible, but in the read me for ver 2.4 it clearly says ZiPhone does NOT change the iPhone internal IMEI. It changes the baseband to think the imei is another one. No changes are made inside the SECZONE.Is the GSM provider still able to see the original IMEI number or not?
What a fantastic deal, I get to unlock my Bold for free. However, I sent in the info over two hours ago, no info back. Did they get overwhelmed, or is there something not straight about the deal? Anybody get theirs yet?
I just got an unlock code from ATT. My question is though, the very step is to put the other SIM card in, but there's no other SIM card I plan on using. So, do I just go through the steps with my current SIM card as if it were the foreign one I said I'd be using?
From that free cell unlock thing? The name escapes me but I remember I signed up for it and got an email, yet they never followed up and provided me with an unlock code, and it's been at least a couple weeks. Anyone else in the same position?
I am trying to unlock my phone so I can use it internationally. I called AT&T and they said they couldn't unlock it and that I need to contact the phone manufacturer. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain an unlock code from RIM?
I had to get a new bb becuase my old one messed up. With my previous plan I did not need the AT&T bb datapackage... I don't need one now. However, with the new phone, AT&T automatically added the BB dataplan. I cant get rid of it, and i dont want to get rid of the phone.
Heres what I did: I put my sim in another non-BB phone, call AT&T and deleted my dataplan. It worked. I then put my sim back into my BB, and a few mins later got a txt msg saying AT&T has added the BB data onto my phone. aaahhh! So, how do I change the IMEI number to my old non-BB phone, so that AT&T can't tell i'm using my BB?
Hypothetically if a phone was stolen from you can your carrier (tmobile) track it? they would track it via your IMEI number? can the thief change this number on the BB?anyhow i heard that the service provider can tell if a particular phone unit is being used if they got your imei number.
I am not trying to separate work emails from personal emails by server - that is clear. I just want the BlackBerry to either recognize the presets from my Outlook; or to be able to set new colours on the Bold.
