Iphone 6+ 60+ gigs of memory; Just updated the software to version 8.1.1; Just restored the software and then the back up from iCloud; The auto focus suddenly stopped working. On Saturday, the pictures and videos were perfect. On Sunday everything is blurry.Â
I first discovered that the camera is locked on fixed focus about a week ago when I tried to take a picture of a barcode. The camera takes good pictures as long at the subject is atleast 2' away. This camera actually does not auto focus or focus at all (do some tests yourself). The irony is that there is a "macro" mode under the scenes setting but that does not help either. I called Motorola and they seem to be aware that their phone which is advertised as having auto focus does not actually focus. They have no estimate on a fix for this problem.
I got a problem with the N8's camera. It seems that the auto-focus does not work at all. This issue applies for videos and still pictures. It did work however once. But somehow not anymore and i did not change anything related to settings and neither did i update/install any software.I already had to reset the phone to factory defaults once since the "keylock button" refused to lock my phone when i slided it. This works now, but then again, the camera appears to be broken.
Ok i just bought the bold, forked out the full price to have the phone that hopefully has everything i need. The pictures look great and seem to adjust under bad lighting, great camera but when i installed barcode scanner program and tried it i realized the auto focus is not working and from what iam reading, even it it worked you have to use the right convence key, makes upclose pic hard to take. I tried pulling the battery, lowered quality setting "whats the point in that?", set auto focus to "normal" and "upclose" but still the camera's not focusing. I tried all this through the barcode program and just using the camera, someone please help, everything else seems to be working great.
how to check whether the auto-focus of Torch 9800 is working, as sometimes during the auto mode also pictures are not clear, they come a bit blurr. How do I test whether the camera is working absolutly fine?
I just got a new Z3, and the auto focus on the main camera isn't working. I can hear a click when I open the app, or when I switch from the front camera to the rear one - is that a normal sound? I changed the camera settings, cleared the app data, tried using Google Camera, and even reset the phone. Is there anything else I should try? Is my camera defective?
My 1020 photos are appalling at the moment. They are just unfocused. Took photos of my daughter seeing Santa yesterday, no time to fiddle with settings. Ended up with awful out of focus shots, friends Iphone pics were fab. So fed up, I nearly missed the pics altogether because of the loading screen.
I purchased my Photon at the end of September, and for the most part it has been the greatest phone I have ever used. That is, until my camera stopped working correctly! I launch the camera app, and the screen switches to landscape and the camera initializes, but it will not focus!! I have to tap the screen very hard and rapidly for it to force focus, and any situation other than bright daylight will not focus at all. The phone does not even make that little clicking noise that I think it made when going into camera mode, which I believe meant that the shutter is activating (right??).
This happened once before to me, and I took the phone to a Sprint store. The rep simply toggled the image resolution from 3mp to 5mp and back, and it worked. I then left the store feeling like a dope.....until the next week when it started happening again. Now, I've tried everything to get the camera to work again, but nothing.
The autofocus of my Milestone 2 is no longer working. It's not often that I take pictures with my mobile, so I can't say if this is related with the GB-Update or not.
The camera on my Droid 2 doesn't autofocus anymore. For the first couple months, I was taking crystal clear pictures without any problems, then one day the camera refused to autofocus and now all my pictures turn out blurry. I can say without a doubt that the lens does not need cleaning because if I take an extreme closeup (just a few inches from the subject) the pictures are clear. Any further than a few inches, the pics come out blurry. Holding the shutter button down a little only causes a red box to come up, not green. Using the touch screen shutter button doesn't make a difference. I tried factory resetting my phone and this didn't solve the issue.
After i upgraded to FroYo, my camera no longer does the auto focus. The image will be blurred. When i press the soft key on the cam screen, it starts focussing and get a clear picture. Also there is a delay bet image capture and flash.
For some reason today when i opened up my camera to take a few shots it had problem auto focusing on items close to me, as you know when you tap the screen to focus on a point in the screen you get the circle and a small beep to let you know it's focusing ok, it seemed to have problems getting to this point and there was an audible high pitched buzzing or clicking sound coming from the lens itself and the screen image would not come into focus
the phone has not been dropped or roughly handled so i am 100% sure it's not an issue caused by being knocked, i have tried a reset and a reboot but the issue still remains, also i have done no recent updates and there are none showing so that's not the issue either
My N82 while taking pictures focuses properly in macro mode. (Green rectangular box). Other than macro mode I can see only red rectangular box (indicating improper focus?) and the photo seems to be blurred. Macro mode photos seems to be good. Even if I put camera settings to 'Auto' I am getting red rectangular box most of the times instead of green. Software or hardware fault?
I love the camera on my phone, and constantly use the focus function with the trackpad. It suddenly stopped working - and I cant figure out why. Went through all the options, did a reboot, removed the battery etc - same result. The trackpad works on the bottom menu items, but it used to be that I could use it to focus in and out (up and down).
I'm writing because I red some places that Nokia E52 has Auto Focus or in some place "Full focus", so Iám wondering is this true, because I can't find no settings to adjust it ?
the auto-updating of apps stopped working on my iPhone (4s/iOS 7.1.2). Not sure if that's a coincidence but it seems like it stopped working immediately after iOS 8 got released to developers (on June 2), as if somehow the App Store got configured differently, preventing devices running iOS 7 to auto-update apps. Auto update of apps used to happen at night here, most likely when the system has been idle and plugged in for a while, but no more. I find apps to update every morning, nothing has been done automatically.
ps: I did de-activate reboot and re-activate auto-update, no change.
I posted this elsewhere earlier today and I think it was in the wrong place. Anyway, I've had my one x about 3 weeks and now the auto rotate has stopped working. The "auto rotate" box is checked and I've tried the "G-Sensor calibration". When I try this, the levels "jiggle" and then I get a message "Calibration aborted"
I just recently fixed this same issue with my Nexus 7, but this is a whole different beast. I used Check My Android to check my accelerometers, and they are functioning just fine. I cleared my cache and then cleared/reformatted the partition. Then I did a factory reset because I was losing my mind. It's still not working. I went into the display settings to turn on the auto rotate manually and it will rotate with that screen up but not on my home screen or in any other app.
I just realize my camera won't autofocus, it's only focused on the objects that is quiet far it doesn't work with the nearest objects. Any idea what's going on with it? is it because of some photography apps? cuz i have lots of photography apps.
From the past 2 months i had been listening a buzzing sound from my device whenever i tried to use the camera and now the auto-focus feature has completely gone along with that buzzing thing. Can anybody please provide me the solution for this issue or I have to buy a new phone of some other brand.I tried flashing Stock ROM .58 and .62 both and ICS too.Tried all the third party ROMs too but its not working in any case.If it is a hardware issue what is the approx cost to get it repaired.
My 950xl is having some serious autofocus issues in low light. I half hold the camera button and the image will come into focus. I then finish the press, and as the camera tries to take the picture, the camera app tries to refocus and fails nearly every time. I have found that the only way to be certain this doesn't happen is to manually focus shot in low light. I was going to attach some samples but this website doesn't play nice with Edge - which is ridiculous since it is a Windows focused site.
today I bought a Blackberry Bold 9900. I had a bold 9700. I was very surprised for the very very bad camera. It has not the autofocus. I cannot scan barcode. I think it's an big error/problem for this phone. It costs 600 euros, it costs like and iphone 4. I cannot scan document. The next time I will buy an Iphone. BB bold 9900 0 - Iphone 1. Iphone wins!!
I seem to be having a problem with the Autofocus function. It works fine for close up pictures i.e. I press the button softly once and the camera focuses then the square goes green to say it focused, then I press again and it takes the picture fine. When I do the same for further away pictures I do the same process but the square never goes green....so the autofocus did not work. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? The camera settings are on normal for autofocus BTW.
is autofocus feature not available in bold 9900 ? , i shot many amazing pictures with blackberry torch 9800. I couldnt see same performance from camera in 9900.
no autofocus . Even in camera mode, pressing BB icon suppose to give Auofucus (as in Help), but the Autofocus option not even in menu. Camera does not autofocus at all
When I start any camera app on my Lumia 1020 the picture is blurry if I'm pointing the camera at anything over 6 inches away or so. When I push the camera button in it attempts to focus. Sometimes it will focus on distant objects the way it should, but most of the time it does not and everything stays blurry. This happened after receiving the latest update(not sure what update version). I've tried reinstalling Nokia Cam but it does not fix the problem. I haven't tried resetting to factory setting yet because I do not wish to have to redo everything on the phone.
I've had my S6 for nearly two weeks now, and I've noticed a strange trend when taking photos with the front camera. Things that are relatively up close such as my face end up being a tad blurry whereas everything in the background is nice, sharp, and detailed. No matter how I position my face in the shot, despite it recognizing my face, it just won't bring it into focus. After a few more shots, it doesn't look like the front is auto-focusing at all. I've checked all of the camera settings, and everything is defaulted except for Beauty mode which I have set to 0. How possible is it that this is a hardware defect?
